The fitting service here is exemplary. The bras are expensive but try buying one here and see how you feel. The owner not only chooses great products, but she also can tailor straps and other special needs like broken wires. I’ve been getting compliments all summer on the bathing suit she chose for me (and showed me how to properly wear.)

Went here with my mom to get special bras for my wedding and bridal shower. Such a wonderful experience! We are both larger chested so wanted something we would feel supported and comfortable in. Both of the women who work there were so incredibly helpful. They knew just what get us and everything they purchased turned out perfectly. They will even tailor the bra to your body if it needs any alternations so it literally fits perfectly. I was so happy with the experience that I even bought a bathing suit there. I always feel unsupported in bathing suits from a regular store so having something like this was great!

Josie definitely knows her stuff! She customized my corset to fit with my sheer backed wedding gown just by looking at the picture. She’s so sweet and thinks of everything to make it work. I highly recommend!

First time here and definitely recommend. Was easy to make an appointment and they were very flexible with their schedule. I met Josie and she was such a pleasure. I was there for about an hour but it felt like 15 minutes! She knew exactly what I was looking for and she was a delight to work with. Find your custom undergarments for your wedding here! I can say that I am not good at this type of shopping, but with some help, I closed out my Christmas list…

Josie spent a lot of time working with me to find the perfect «foundation» for my wedding dress. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have the right undergarments for your wedding dress-​they will enhance and perfect the fit and silhouette of your dress.
The best part of working with Josie is that she’s also a seamstress. She is able to customize bras, corsets, etc. to fit you correctly. Before going here I didn’t even know it was possible to tailor lingerie! This is the WOW! factor of BTG. You can definitely appreciate this if you are someone who’s an in between size. Josie was able to alter my wedding dress corset along with bras I purchased here for everyday wear. Her seamstress skills are impeccable and she pays close attention to every little detail.
The only mistake I made is that I didn’t go here FIRST! It would have saved me a lot of time and aggravation from dealing with other stores that didn’t take the time and didn’t have the knowledge to fit properly.
I highly recommend BTG to anyone either looking for their wedding dress foundation or the key essentials that belong in every woman’s lingerie wardrobe. Josie and Heidi are skilled at fitting every body type and they will take the time to find the right pieces for you. They also carry bathing suits and sports bras. I actually need to get down there soon for some new stuff!

Beneath the Gown was absolutely wonderful! My sister and I went today with my wedding dress to find the right underpinnings. Josie and Heidi were very hospitable and a pleasure to work with on this very important «project». Bridal underwear is so critical to the perfect look, and they had so much experience to share. Josie made wonderful suggestions and offered solutions I hadn’t even considered. She is now tailoring the bra I purchased to work perfectly with my dress, and I’m going back in 3 weeks for another fitting. While I was there, I tried on several other pieces of lingerie that were also incredible, and priced fairly. I was so impressed with this store and I can’t wait to go back!!!

If I’ve learned one thing in the process of all of my wedding planning, it is that once you’ve spent thousands of dollars on a wedding gown, you want to make sure it looks as good as possible on you.
After buying my gown at The White Dress by the Shore, they had referred me to Beneath The Gown for as the name implies, lingerie to wear under your wedding dress. I guess I had never given much thought to anything aside from the gown, and after reading up on the importance of picking the «perfect foundation» and meeting with the seamstress who basically told me my life would be changed if I made an appointment, I decided I needed to see what all of the fuss was about!
Walking into the shop, I was immediately greeted by Josie&Heidi, who are the sweetest women in the world-​they immediately offered my mother & me coffee and had us seated comfortably in back to enjoy our coffee while Josie pulled some options. I had brought my wedding dress with me so that I could try it on with the different undergarments (my dress has a very low cut back/​strapless with a sweet heart neckline and didn’t even know it was possible to have something aside from built-​in-​cups)– if you don’t have your dress, you can just bring pictures and they can find you something based on that. They have a beautiful collection of fine european lingerie– from lace to silk– that Josie will completely customize to your wedding dress (she also adds her own touch– a blue bow if you’d like for your something blue). As I’m using a seamstress that is close to Josie, they communicate to each other so that the lingerie works perfectly under your dress and stays in place (becoming more a part of your dress as opposed to just something you just wear underneath).
Josie pulled the perfect piece for me– it actually transformed the way the dress looked and added support to show off my figure as the dress is completely silk/​lace and doesn’t have ribbing to help enhance – and it made me feel so pretty and feminine! Ughh, seriously I cannot say enough amazing things– if you’re a bride, come here!!!
You also don’t just have to come here for wedding needs, but for customized bra fittings/​post-​mastectomy needs and beautiful bathing suits!!! I will definitely be coming back before my honeymoon to choose my bathing suit.
