Dont judge this place from the outside, with its simple sign and plain appearance. Huge beer menu! Tasty grub!

Found this place through Unilocal and several people confirmed the food was great before I came so I had pretty high expectations. I was not disappointed. Fantastic food, large portions, great selection of beers and wines. Told my family that if I don’t come straight home from work and they can’t find me to check here. Love the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. The bartender had great recommendations as well. Kind of small so seating is limited but worth a wait. Location leaves a little to be desired but still a gem. Will be a regular here for sure.

At first glance the location can be difficult to find as the main sign merely says ‘pub.’ However, the experience was definitely worth it. We ordered the pig wings with sriracha ranch, a great appetizer; as well as the tater tots all the way. If your group is a little larger go with the tater tots, as the pig wings are only a 5 count. I ordered the meatloaf, which is on their specials menu which rotates daily. The waitress said it was ground beef but it was almost certainly ground lamb — for the better in my opinion. As far as the drinks menu go, they do the name justice with a large selection of beers on tap as well as a wine selection to rival. It’s more roomy than at first glance, and even though we stopped by on a Friday night, the wait wasn’t too long.

This place is small but awesome. There are tons of beer and wine options. Some of the drinks are pricey but there is probably a drink for everyone. Part of the menu changes daily and it allows the chef to keep things fresh and interesting. The food was great and was the beer. The staff is friendly. It is pretty loud in there but you can still carry on a conversation. The hubby and I will be back and we’ll bring friends!

JAN16: I down-graded from 4 stars to 3(almost went 2.5). Ty & Lacey, here is the thing — if you have jack-wads at the door, that prefer to look at phones versus help seat/answer a question or just look past you and blow you off — people walk out the door like we did. All of that can override the previous good review… I really want to come back — but the two at the door Really irritated me. Will I go Back: Im taking a breather and will return… I miss the Pig Wings 11 Nov 15: If it hadn’t been for friends and a review here I would not have walked into the place. Situated in strip mall with a non-descript signs that says PUB, and shady characters out due to being bracketed by a Dollar store and a Big Lots. That all changes when you walk in to a grotto-like food and beer/wine emporium; over 25+ beers on tap and wine for any taste. Then comes the best part the food — the Pig Wings are a Must! the Tots — come with a spread of toppings — go for it and go All In! They roll the menu to what the Chef creates and that is one of the best parts — trying something new — and they haven’t missed yet. Creative, fun and tastes GREAT. Ok, it gets loud — guess what — its THE best in Valrico /Brandon… hence the crowd. If you want conversation and quiet, go to Firehouse Subs Will I go Back: In a heartbeat!

Awesome unique dining and Casual atmosphere. I’ve been going here a couple years and always enjoy the creative Chefs Specials. Service is great, Atmosphere is fun. Definitely try the Pig Wings. Menu changes regularly with great different choices like Bleu Cheese Wagyu Mini Burgers or delectable Lobster Mac and cheese. They are incredible. Having been here as many times as I have, I can say with full confidence to Pay no mind to the Pissy review by some over privileged miserable chick who wouldn’t know atmosphere or good upscale bar food if it smacked her in her face. Clearly she has a personal issue she needs to resolve. Check out Stein and Vein for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I have started to make stein and vine our go to place for lunch! Since my husband works at home one day a week we decided to check this place out and LOVEIT! The different specials everyday makes for a variety of choices while they still offer their standard dishes the service is prompt and the staff has been great.

If you like food — you gotta go! I love this place. The food is off the charts and super different. The only reason it gets 4 stars is that it makes me feel crowded. The place is packed. All the time. Of course it should be as the food is freaking incredible. If you get a table towards the back — all is good. But because it is packed you are typically waiting and get whatever you can. I guess I am getting old to complain about the seating, but otherwise, this place is perfect!!!

This place is loud. Very loud. Let me just say this is not the place to go if you want to actually have a conversation with your companion, or meet up with an old friend. By all means though, it IS the place to come if you’re already in the midst of a lousy date and you just don’t want to talk to that date. Then it’ll be a great place for you to ignore your lousy date. Because if you’re having a horrible time with your lousy date, it’s so loud you wouldn’t be inclined to lean in close so your horrible date could hear you. Perfect spot to diss a lousy date. At a dive bar such as this, you won’t find much here that will make you want to return. Not for the quality of the food, selection of food items, or anything else. We went to this dive bar on 2 occasions, and both times, they were«out» of the food choices we came for. Who wants to settle for frozen tater tots when you came in for lobster mac & cheese? I think the people who come here settle A LOT. I choose not to settle for the mediocre. What you will find here are girl servers who care more about how they look and how much of a tip they’ll make off the volume of your food and/or drink order, and nothing more. It’s a shame also, about the extreme lack of management skills here. Management seems to encourage his servers to create conflict with their customers. This only serves to dish up a hostile environment to customers wanting more than just a hair flip into their food. We got no greeting upon entering, or minor attentiveness while dining. The basics are sorely lacking and need work. Management didn’t take my valid concern seriously about the insanely overly spiced food, and even acted as though inedible food is the norm, whether you can choke it down or not. *cough cough* The sheer rudeness by all who work here is unconscionable. After speaking with management about my inedible food issue with my shrimp & grits, he offered to «talk to the girls», because several were involved in the chaos, as at least 3 came to our table? for this, that and the other. Besides, «the girls» didn’t cook the food, so why would he «talk to the girls» about the food? I would expect him to address the food issue with the cook. Whomever was responsible for the ‘creation’ of my inedible dish, I believe a very heavy hand using red pepper flakes was applied generously to my meal. No offer to remake the entrée, not even an apology. Management’s idea of fixing the problem was to talk to the girls? Not good enough. Since I was being the reasonable adult here, I suggested that since I hardly touched my food(I ate 1 shrimp), I requested my entrée to be removed from my bill because obviously, I wasn’t going to eat it. What a genius idea! Only then did he agree. After the bill was corrected and left on our table, I offered my debit card. Meanwhile, several«girls» passed our table many times, continually ignoring my attempts to pay the bill(including my waving the tray straightaway in her face, all the while she ignored me still). We finally got up and walked out. I left a $ 20 on the clipboard with the bill on the table($ 21, I believe?), and left no tip. I think I was a dollar short. Tips are earned, and should never be expected. Nobody earned a tip that night. Had the server kindly taken my payment, things would’ve played out differently, at the very least… more politely. Instead, the establishment chose to disrespect us as customers. Whoops! She did it again! And still hasn’t learned her lesson that when you treat people this bad, you’ll never be a great server who makes bank. That, my dear, is left to servers who do a stellar job.

Went here yesterday and I loved it. I just had a glass of malbec and the Lobster stuffed mushrooms and it was delish. I loved the rustic décor and the ambiance was on point. The music was good. Very low key relaxed place with good music and good food.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place and its uniqueness not only with its food, but its overall appeal. They serve mostly wine and beer(no spirits), all of their food has that different twist and not just the normal«burger & fries». Guaranteed to be busy on a Friday or Saturday night, you can take your drinks outside and even packed the wait was 40 min(not too bad). Food was amazing & servers super friendly. You can dress anyway you want and won’t break the bank(5 ppl plus drinks less than $ 80!)

Best food in Brandon. Generally great service from a crew that knows their stuff. Awesome rotating beer selection, and plenty of wines to boot. This food, though. They have a bunch of staples with their own spin, such as burgers stuffed with ingredients, pork wings, tots(get them fully loaded or you aren’t allowed to be my friend)… In addition to a short-time menu that changes give-or-take weekly, with some really cool stuff on it. Awesome place, through and through.

There was a terrible odor the entire time we were there, from the drain system. However, we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was quick and courteous, food was delicious, atmosphere was relaxing. Looking forward to another trip.

Delicious! Very unique and hidden brew and burger place in Brandon/Riverview. I will say, it is tucked away in a crappy shopping center on Bloomingdale Avenue. The place is labeled«PUB» when you drive in. Parking is easy to find since it is in a big lot. They have expanded in the past year and have another serving room to accommodate the crowd. My friend and i most recently stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. There are TVs if you like to watch football! The beer here is wonderful… normally unique and sometimes rare. And I’m talking on tap, not bottles. Although the bottle selection is also very impressive. I’m a big olé beer snob and I find things on their menu that I cannot find elsewhere! The food is AMAZING. Had the burgers several times. The Juicy Lacey is phenemonal. Cooked perfect every time. It is stuffed with your choice of cheese… american, swiss, provolone, pepper jack, smoked gouda, bleu cheese among all. Tater tots are addictive. Pig wings are also amazing! Affordable too! Burgers with tots are $ 8. Beers are mostly under $ 8. Comfy place to enjoy. You should go! You won’t be disappointed! Strange location but soooo worth the drive if you aren’t close by :)

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G I would have never in a million years tried this place if not for Unilocal. They are located in the middle of a very run down shopping plaza full of discount stores. The outside of the place says«pub» and the actual Stein & Vine sign is hard to see. Anyways, we found it and man were we shocked when we walked through those doors. The inside of The Stein & Vine is gorgeous. They obviously spent a lot of money on the place. There is hard wood everywhere, two huge bars that run the length of both rooms. The bars are inlaid with pennies. Very cool décor. We came for the lobster mac n’cheese that we saw in many pictures on Unilocal. We had good news and bad news upon arriving. No lobster mac n’cheese. However, The Stein & Vine changes their menu DAILY. So cool. The menu wasn’t huge, but we still had a hard time deciding because the selections were all very enticing. We settled for loaded tater tots for an appetizer(ORDERTHEM!), a Croque Monsieur, and some sort of Mexican dish that was akin to an extremely full and flavorful quesadilla. The tater tots were huge. The fried egg on top totally made the dish, but the chunks of raw onions, bacon and cheese added a lot too. We would probably skip the jalapenos next time just because they were too potent and overpowered the rest of the dish. We mostly picked them off. The Croque Monsieur was my dish. It was HUGE. If we weren’t so far from home with plans afterwords, I would have taken over half home. Every component of this dish was amazing. Together or separate… a-m-a-z-i-n-g. The sandwich had some of the most delicious ham I have ever had that was seared to bring the flavor out. It was on two HUGE slices of flavorful and perfectly cooked french toast. It was topped with a sweet, yet tangy and sour mustard and a fried egg that made this a true culinary delight. Best sandwich ever. My Husband had the quesadilla type dish. It had a ton of meat on it and it was super flavorful. He really liked it, but he was jealous of my sandwich and had to help me out too. We really enjoyed our dinner at The Stein & Vine. They also have a decent craft beer selection and wine on tap too. We will definitely be back. probably every single time we visit Brandon. Thank You Unilocal for this great find.

They have a great selection of craft and local beers plus a cool food menu. Rock shrimp coconut curry, fried cheese curds, escargot, truffle tots, roast beef kicker, Korean snapper tacos, and PB&J Burger to name a few. There isn’t a dessert menu, but when I came for dinner, they said they had cheesecake for dessert. Calamari $ 8 — These flash fried calamari are great! Crispy on the outside and chewy on the insdie, served with delicious marinara sauce. Shrimp & Grits $ 13 — Great dish filled with shrimp, bell peppers, andouille sausage, onions and garlic, green onion and topped with a fried egg. Just the right amount of spiciness. Three Palms Coconut Cream Pie $ 6⁄10 oz — This blonde ale was interesting. The light taste of coconut was pretty good for the most part, but started tasting a little weird towards the last few sips. LOCATION: Stein & Vine is located between Family Dollar and Big Lots in a strip mall with the word PUB lighted up on the building.

Brandon’s best(non brewery) for craft beer and highly unique top end food. Both beer and food menus change daily with only a handful of regular items(eg Pig Wings, which are 100% pork on bones made to resemble chicken wings). They recently doubled their bar/dining area by acquiring the property next door so that the wait is not as intense. The menu has little consistency other than being excellent(e.g. Tonight’s buttermilk frog legs along with lobster mac and cheese, pizza hoagies, several outstanding sandwiches such as the Volcano or 33 and 1⁄3rd which are classics)

Oh my goodness, if I had not read the Unilocal reviews I would not have gotten out of my car. The only visible sign said«Pub» which made this jewel of a restaurant look like a neighborhood dive bar. But alas, like the frog that turned into a prince, once you walk in the door you realize you stepped into something special. There is wood accents and amazingly enticing bar area and service is incredibly smooth. My friend ordered the Volcano Burger and loved everything but the Blue Cheese he opted to go for. Absent of that, he said it was delicious. I had the Street Taco which was extremely messy but really really delightful. We both rated the Pig Wings as the star of the show, they were so good. Give it a try, no matter how much you doubt seeing the pub sign, and you will be rewarded.

My second time, like my first visit, did not disappoint! I’m beginning to see why the locals love dining or simply meeting friends and co-workers for drinks here. Here’s what I’ve learned– Stein & Vine means what it means, the only alcohol they serve is beer and wine– no hard liquor and mixed drinks. That was a bummer for my husband who happened to have his heart set on a whiskey sour, but he was glad to have opted for a glass of red wine. I had a glass of Stella. He ordered a burger and I had to have their chicken tacos again. Everything was cooked to perfection. Although I would love to see more chicken options on the menu, including the chef’s special menu that is rotated out daily. I’m not sure if you can request meat substitutes if I wanted chicken instead of beef, fish, or whatever but wanted the meal itself, too. I’ll see about that the next time.

Stuff your burger here Pigs do fly at Stein & Vine Eat like a fat queen. Nestled between a Big Lots and some other unknown strip mall place, there is a small austere«PUB» sign. You have arrived. Don’t be afraid. I came here once and then ended up not eating there… I was sad about that. I came a second time for a date night, and it was quite a busy place for dinner. The beer list is super local and well-priced. The burger is amazing. Just go for the any version of the juicy lacy. «What is a «Juicy Lacy»? you ask. Well, it is the highest form of burgerdom. It’s beyond kobe and In-N-Out. It’s pure hot-pocket-like genius. THECHEESEISINSIDETHEBURGER!!! And you can choose with what cheese you would like your burger stuffed. Another thing: Pig Wings. «What is a Pig Wing?» you ask. I have no idea, but it is a delicious little morsel of piggy pork goodness. I’m guessing a piglet rib or something(sorry PETA). Fav dipping sauce as well as burger topper and tots smotherer — Sriracha ranch. I’m pretty sure it’s just a combination of Sriracha and ranch, but I love it. Tots. It’s impossible to go wrong here. Poutine! Those crazy french Canadians smothering their fries in gravy and cheese curds.(Note: also good with sriracha ranch.) On another occasion I came for lunch, and noticed that the crowd was more mature salad-eating and wine-drinking. While I’m tempted to go the more healthy route, the burger… Everything looks fresh, delicious, and made to order. They have daily specials, a friendly staff, and a regular menu of tacos, fish, salad, and semi-fancy bar fare. IMHO: This place is worth going out of your way to check out.
