Jim has lived in Hillsborough County all his life. He is a graduate of King High School and served in the US Army from 1967 – 1970, working in Hawk Missiles and Radar. He was trained in electronics, fuel oil heating, and air conditioning & heating through GE Project Transition and has also completed many courses in electronics, fuel oil, boilers, duct systems, a/​c & heating, heat pumps, furnaces, air quality, etc.
