Midas / SpeeDee Oil Change

So I had a challenging issue with my 2013 F150 exhaust and made a call to Brandon Midas. Upon answering the phone I was told they thought they could help but would need to see the truck. I pulled up and they immediately pulled my truck in on the lift. The challenge was the high performance muffler and it was so loud. They made some calls and found a muffler that they thought would work. I agreed and they went to pick it up immediately. Upon returning they discovered another challenge but also came up with an answer. I have to say these guys are old school and I love it! They put their heads together and modified the muffler to not only work but looks factory built! It is now exactly what I want and am so impressed with all of them! Bravo! I recommend anyone in the Brandon area to check out Brandon Midas! They truly rock! Thank you guys!

2000 Audi TT was presented at the Brandon FL Midas on 10÷4÷2012 because it wasn’t accelerating properly. I was told that the catalytic converter and its components needed to be replaced ($ 1100 visa). Upon picking up the vehicle it was still not accelerating appropriately so I called and asked if I could take the vehicle to a Midas that was closer to my home. I was told this was acceptable. Upon dropping off my vehicle to the S. Tampa location on 10/​11/​2012 I was told that the acceleration problem was due to a collapsing turbo line. I was also told at this time that a minor repair from the catalytic converter was overlooked by the other shop. Because it was late in the day I was told I would be called the next day with an estimate. 10/​12/​2012 I discussed the cost of repair ($ 1300) and my displeasure with the first repair. I was told that because the S. Tampa location was a franchisee I would have to discuss the previous repair with the Brandon location. None the less I was told the parts for the turbo would be special ordered that day and would be in on Monday 10/​15/​2012. Upon disconnecting my call I contacted the Brandon Midas but could not get the manager on the phone. At this time I contacted the Midas complaint line. They too attempted to contact the Brandon Midas manager for an immediate resolve but had not success. On 10/​15/​2012 I spoke with the manager of the Midas in South Tampa who called to ask me what I wanted done with my vehicle. I let her know that I was told parts would be ordered for the repair of the turbo and they should already be there. She informed me that they weren’t ordered due to a communication error but assured me they would be ordered immediately. I again called the Midas complaint line to check on the status of my complaint. I was told it would be resubmitted. On 10/​16/​2012 I received two calls from Midas in Brandon, however, I was at work and couldn’t respond. I also received a call from Midas S. Tampa stating my car was ready for pick up. 10/​17/​2012 I spoke with the manager of the Brandon Midas who upon greeting me immediately asked if I was having a problem with my car overheating when I dropped it off to either location. I informed him that the only problem the vehicle was having was with it accelerating. He went on to tell me that he had just left the South Tampa location and tha my vehicle was now overheating everytime it was started. I asked to speak with a district manager. Upon speaking with the district manager it became very apparent that neither location wanted to take responsibility for the additional damage that was done to my car. I was informed that an independant 3^rd party adjuster would be going to take a look at my vehicle to see who was at fault. I was told that in the event that the Brandon location was at fault I would receive a full refund of the first repair, a rental car and that the additional damage would be repaired at Audi with no additional cost to me. However, if the South Tampa location was at fault it was at the franchisees discretion how the matter was handled. At this time I personally rented a vehicle ($ 200 visa). I also went to the South Tampa shop to look at my vehicle. I was told that the catalytic converter and components form Brandon location had to be replaced because it was done incorrectly in addition to the repair of the turbo. 10/​23/​2012 I was called by the South Tampa manager and asked permission for my car to be towed to Audi because they couldn’t identify the problem at there location. 10/​24/​2012 spoke with Audi tech who let me know that catalytic converter repair was not done correctly, there were several welding issues and that audi parts were not used for repair. Additionally, they had yet to receive any authorization from Midas to repair overheating issue.
