Went here for the first time yesterday. We went with some friends who love this place. It is definitely pricey — almost $ 20 per person — but it is all you can eat. As many have mentioned, they may charge you if you have left-overs. No one in our party of 11 was charged — I think they will only charge you if you keep ordering more food and don’t eat it all. If you just get hibachi and can’t finish — I don’t think they would charge. One girl at the table had about ¾ cup of food left on her plate and they didn’t charge her for it. I don’t see it as a bad thing — it prevents someone from ordering 10 menu items, eating half of it and expecting to take the rest home. I personally didn’t have any sushi — the rest of the table did and they seemed to really like it. For me, I came for the hibachi — which was OK but nothing compared to Kobe’s. I was expecting a lot more flavor when I saw them add garlic, but it wasn’t nearly as flavorful as expected. And the yum yum sauce was thicker and seemed overly mayonnaise-y. I am sure I will go back — because I have friends and family who enjoy the AYCE sushi, but it would not be my first choice, personally.

Currently sitting AT this restaurant and this is the third time I’ve been to this location and every single time I come here the service is awful. We sit down at the table and we have to wait 20 minutes to just get drinks. It took 40 minutes to get our food and when they give it to us they just throw it on your table without even looking at you. The food is no doubt amazing everytime but if you want good service just go to the one on Palm Pointe Dr this location is just a waste of time.

This place is okay. You shouldn’t have high expectations for quality food when coming to an all-you-can-eat sushi place, anyway. We came for an early lunch on a weekday, and it wasn’t busy. The server was polite and helpful. The weekday lunch is a cheap price. The portions are tiny indeed, so go ahead and order 3 orders of that appetizer.

Great value! All you can eat hibachi, appetizers, and sushi for lunch $ 9.99. Hibachi was amazing, and the soup, appetizers, and sushi were very good. Would go again. Highly recommended!

I can’t speak for the sushi because I don’t eat sushi, but the hibachi was on a level between a Chinese buffet and a traditional Japanese Hibachi restaurant. You order, they make it in the back and bring it to you. Food comes out far more slowly when the place is busy, Make sure you know the rules before you order.

Remember the Wendy’s commercial when the old lady says, «Where’s the beef?» Well this place is, «Where’s the fish?» Sushi is supposed to have fish in, right, but this place skimps so hard that most of the rolls are specifically designed to not include fish, and those that are supposed to have fish, have barely any. This place was horrible for sushi. Be forewarned. Save your money and find another Asian eatery. This one isn’t worth the trip.

The sushi is okay… mostly chopped tuna and chopped salmon. There are very few choices for rolls that are actually whole, fresh pieces of fish. The hibachi was okay as well, but nothin spectacular. I tried to get a little bit of everything so that I could give it a fair chance, but really everything is just MEH… nothing spectacular.

Well let’s start of with the positive… very reasonable price. Hibachi, sushi, apps and dessert for under $ 20 – you can’t beat. And our waiter Sky was nice and attentive and helped us with ordering since this was our first time. Now on to the negative: the sushi was not that good. And the steak in the hibachi entrée was overcooked. We’ve definitely had better hibachi experiences at other restaurants. Ice cream/sherbet for dessert was a nice touch.

This is one the weirdest places I’ve dined. You are forewarned on the menu that they charge you for uneaten food. What type of extortion is that? Considering the food is not amazing! Although we had a large party, we were seated almost immediately. However, our server appeared extremely overwhelmed and was giving us major attitude. When she came by to take our ordered we begin to give her our kids order(nuggets & fries) & she was very snippy in saying«I’m only taking hibachi orders now, I’ll have to come back for anything else.» It wasn’t what she said it was more of how she said it. The fried rice, noodles, & chicken were good. Yet, the steak was flavorless & tough, & the vegetable had a weird«plastic-like» taste as if they were frozen. My friends ordered sushi which came out long after the food & they were not pleased at all. Lastly, our server disappeared for about 45 minutes without bringing the bill & then when she finally collected the payment she sent the receipt back with someone from our party at another table. I won’t be going back.

Great Relaxing Buffet We love this place. This is our second visit. Service was top notch, Dan is a great waiter. It is great that the buffet is to order instead of on top of steam tables where everyone touched your food. You eat as much as you can with a flat fee and everything is delicious. You just can’t leave anything. on your plate or will get charge for left overs. This restaurant has reasonable price and great service. Highly recommend this place.

I have been to the Koizi in New Tampa, but this was my first experience at the Brandon one. We came for the lunch special, $ 9.95 for the buffet. I was really excited for sushi. At the Tampa one there is always a line, but at this one it was practically empty… this was my first sign that something was not right. We got seated right away and had a pretty large group(about 10 people). We sat around a hibachi table. The inside was dark and there were blue lights under the table. It was also well air conditioned where we were. We got our orders taken and the food came out pretty fast. There was one waiter that did not look like he wanted to be there, like he was annoyed at all of us for ordering anything. The only things that this place has going for it was that there was no wait, the food came out fast, and the hibachi chef was nice. The main problem was the sushi was terrible!!! Nothing tasted fresh. I got the spicy tuna roll(always my favorite roll) and my husband had to finish it for me because I didn’t like it. The tuna tasted old and it was shredded strangely giving it a weird consistency. The other roll I tried was the Boston roll. I never had it before so I don’t have anything to compare it to. There was nothing impressive about it that would make me want to order it again. I tried a Koizi roll and it was ok, seemed a little dry. The other weird thing was the salad. Usually there is a carrot based dressing, but this looked like it was mayonnaise based. I didn’t try it but the people in my group that had it were not impressed. The miso soup was ok, needed a touch more flavor and less seaweed. Overall I do not see myself coming here again. I will wait in a line at the Tampa one if I want Koizi again.

WARNING: BEWARE! DONOTCOMEHERE. STAYAWAY! Not really a buffet and they charge you 50 cents for every piece left over — and you will. The rice in the sushi rolls was hard, and the egg drop soup was bland with no flavor! Actually, everything was bland…

Ok I was expecting good sushi and decent size portions. This wasn’t the case here. Although it is endless, the portions are VERYSMALL! Everything comes out super fast but I was disappointed in my first visit. The sushi is mediocre, I think the next time I visit I’ll do more entrees than sushi. Even they’re small portions too.

We made a trip to Brandon to try this Koizi. For lunch, we sat right away and the service was fast. 4 – 5 minutes after our order, the dishes were brought out one after another. We got some sushi, rainbow roll, dancing krab roll, tofu, salad, miso soup, shrimp and steak hibachi, etc. Every dishes were all good. End of the meal desserts were ice cream and fried dough. Our server was very polite and fast. It was a pretty good lunch for 10 dollar!

I have night work last night and I am free to lunch anyway today. We choose to come to this Koizi location instead of the Tampa Palm location. The chef here is better than the Tampa Palm Koizi. They must learn their lesson from the older Koizi. The restaurant is bigger and the food comes out faster. At Tampa Palm the line and wait is longer. Here I was seated immediately. Like it. Interior is well decorated and spacious. We have order many thing from the menu. This is our first time we order the QQ ball-Chicken and Beef grounded ball. It serves with sweet sauce. I like their habachi with Sirloin. The meat is soft and tender. We also have the Mt. Fuji Roll looks like lava flows from the top. I always order my favorite spicy tuna roll. It did not disappoint me. The rainbow roll interior crab meat is marinated with flavor. Compare to Bay Area endless sushi, Koizi has better flavor.

My daughter & in-laws have raved about this restaurant for a while. I’m no sushi expert, but we really enjoyed an early dinner here last weekend. All 3 of us had the all-you-can-eat, and tried many different rolls. I think the dinner price was $ 18. They also have a $ 10 lunch price, but we don’t live near this restaurant & wanted to try it while we were in the area. The service was good, although they weren’t busy at this time so it’s hard to know how they handle the rush. Our food tasted fresh, and the menu was easy to read for this sushi novice.

This is one of my favorite places to go to for endless sushi and hibachi at a great price! I come here at least once a week or two. Love it! Steak hibachi and spicy tuna roll forever! Service has gotten better too.

We had dinner here for the first time tonight — Monday night at 6pm. I am providing the day and time details because I noticed the majority of the bad reviews were on bad service when they were busy. It was not busy when I was there. At one point we were the only table being served in the entire restaurant. Could that be one of the reasons why our service was so great? Maybe. Anyway, service was great tonight. Our waitress was very attentive and nice. The food was also great. My only complaint is that the dinner buffet is $ 17.95. You really have to eat a lot to get your money’s worth. They are located in a plaza in Brandon off of Causeway. I have not been to the Tampa location so I can’t compare the two.

This location is new and it painstakingly showed during my family’s visit. Some of our party arrived before the rest, so we ordered some appetizers during the wait. Too bad they didn’t even come out til much after the rest of my family arrived. In fact, we had to remind our server that we placed an order in the first place. The sad part is that our server made an excuse and blamed it on the new chef. I think that’s so unprofessional! You’re a team! Don’t point fingers! Isn’t it also part of her responsibility to check that we got our apps? I’ve never worked at a restaurant, so maybe my thinking is flawed, but that just didn’t look good in my eyes. The service didn’t improve much after that. They were still slow in getting out the entrees and sushi. Hibachi chef came out quickly, but I was not happy with my shrimp. It was too wet to be coming off the grill. The sushi was better, but still not great. The Koizi in Tampa is much better, and I hope this Brandon location can make the moves to get it up to par.
