Greatly improved over last visit. Our server Amy was friendly and attentive, I would ask for her again. The steak and shrimp were cooked very well and my wife enjoyed her crab and cheese soup along with the French dip sandwich.

A little more local bar then local restaurant. However, surprisingly good food. It provides a very local feeling. My parents had the Shrimp Basket and claim it is the second best shrimp they have ever had. I had the buffalo chicken wrap and it was pretty good.

I think it’s a better bar then a restaurant. I really like the drinks and atmosphere but the food wasn’t that great

Grouper Reuben was fishy and bland. Salad was iceberg lettuce with a few extras thrown in, also unremarkable. We have no reason to return.

Nice family bar and restaurant. The BLT is the best I have ever had! My mom had the cheeseburger wrap and also enjoyed it. My only suggestion is that the French fries were coated and fried. Could use improvement.

Great service, large portion size and reasonable prices. My new favorite place to go for dinner. We will definitely return.

Decided to try because of a coupon from double take offers. Turned out to be a great place. Good food and service. Our drinks were never empty. The wing recipe is very close tasting to Hooters. I also recommend the crab cakes and calamari. This will definitely save me the trip to Hooters at the other end of town.

I really enjoy this bar. I’ve been multiple times to watch sports. Great atmosphere, food decent for a bar, conversation between the regulars AMAZING! Each time I’ve stopped I’m by myself and each time I feel like I’m leaving with a new friend.

A favorite hangout for Brandon Locals. There is nothing fancy about it and Florida beach bums like it that way. The laid back bar where everyone knows your name, and everyone meets Keith. The food itself is a side attraction therefore it doesn’t really have to be that good and you don’t expect it to be. Its more the kind of place where you eat because you think«I should probably eat something before I drink more» That being said the food does come in large portions and is reasonably priced. After a few drinks you probably like the food but completely sober it leaves something to be desired. Will I be back, yes, but for the good times not for the food.

I’ll say, this place is a trip. Great open space and great food to boot. Local beers on tap and a knowledgable staff to fulfill your every whim when imbibing. I like ginger ale to mix with whiskey. Did they have it? No. Did they fix me up though? Hell yes. Ghetto ginger ale is the bomb, and they smiled wryly when I asked for it. I think the topper for tonight, besides my NCAA knowledgable bar mates, was the karaōke that permeated the room with cackling voices and flat tones. It was painful but satisfying. So if you’re ever in Brandon, and enjoy karaōke with a bit of aural smackdown, this is the place to be. At least on Saturday nights. Enjoy and Bön appétit! Addendum — Well, the first addendum didn’t take, like a rancid Unilocal virus, so here’s my second go around. This place rules. Noelle and Keith are the most awesome bartenders alive. Got a request? They will fill it. This is the place to go to have a good time. And ask for Sofi for your waitress. She will Make sure you get everything set. Cross my heart. Believe me. I’m trustworthy. Visit here if you’re in the area!!!

Horrible bland, very cheap and over priced food! Save yourself the time and money. You can get the same quality food at Golden Coral and Payless then this place. Terrible service.

I do love their Ruben sandwich and fries. We have tried several menu items and the only one we are not thrilled with is the appetizer of potato skins. They are just not traditional potato skins and are bland. I have only tried them once so perhaps it was just a bad day. The service is good and everyone is delightful. Drink orders are taken quickly after being seated and staff is generally attentive. If the place is packed service is slow. If packed I suggest ordering when they come for your drink and if you know you will want a 2nd drink order it than also. Only real issues is menu items not being available and running out of «all you can eat» items very early in the night. It recently changed owners and they are still adjusting, each visit is better the previous.

Welllllll… A coworker chose this place for lunch. They have about a dozen lunch special for $ 5.99. I got the pressed turkey/roast beef sandwich. The deli meat was a far departure from anything I would normally eat. Turkey was actually in «loaf» form. They joked with me that service is pretty slow there; I would have to agree completely. The restaurant itself leaves much to be desired. There is a musty smell and it’s very cluttered and everything is mismatched inside. I’d imagine this is a great place to get cheap beers and hang out in this neighborhood but next time I’m asked to go for lunch I’ll pass.

Had to wait till my second visit to write a review, mostly because I had to see if the crab cheese soup was consistently excellent and it is! I would recommend this place almost on this cheesy crab filled cup of gold alone but the burgers and nachos are awesome as well. The waitress upon my first visit was nice and attentive and the older gentleman who waited on us the second time was a kind of quirky and very friendly character. All in all I enjoyed my experience here very much and will be a regular.

One star rating because I cannot go lower: Absolutely awful food and«meh» service. Aside from the courteous greeting and prompt seating we received from the host, everything else was downhilll from there. A couple at a nearby table had a delicious looking plate of nachos, so we went with them, ordering them immediately with our drinks. This is an $ 11 appetizer, keep in mind. We got our drinks promptly and ordered our entrees. Within about 8 – 10 minutes our nachos appeared, and they looked and tasted great. .. BUT within TWO minutes our entrees arrived, basically on top of the appetizer, leaving us no choice but to abandon our pricey app and move on to the pricier entrees.(Steak, lobster, and crab legs). Everyone knows how well nachos hold up over time, right? Hello, appetizers are served FIRST, and after a proper interval(at LEAST ten minutes) you serve the entrees. On to the main course: I had the«Land and Sea» consisting of a top sirloin steak and a grilled lobster tail. I should have known from the appearance of the tail that something was wrong – it was served on its side, all curled up, with a knife split down the middle. Most EVERY other place I have had lobster has served it «revealed» through the split so the patron does not have to wrestle the meat out of the shell, but not Keith’s Oaks, and here is why: It was ROTTEN. Nasty, awful, ammonia-smelling rancid rotten. I cut one bite off and dunked it in butter, which is why I didn’t notice the TASTE until it was too late, but the SMELL of that spoiled tail will haunt me forever. I know it well, having experienced it once before. It’s unmistakable, like a very powerful cleaning agent – definitely NOT something that is safe to eat. My hands reeked of that awful smell, as did my plate(remember I had to wrestle it out of the shell?) and the meat was pale brown throughout, with dark brown edges. I called the server over and asked her to smell it. I had her take it to the manager and have him smell it. Quality control, anyone? Tails should NEVER be served to anyone in this condition, and any«cook» or «chef» that does so should be washing dishes for a month or two until they learn to CHECK food quality BEFORE sending a plate to a diner. But, they KNEW it was bad, which is why they didn’t remove it from the shell before they SERVED it to me. .. . After a time the manager arrived and offered me ANOTHER tail. Seriously? Um, no, my palate is a bit off for the night, as far as seafood goes, thank you anyway. He did offer to give me half the cost of the plate(9 $ off!) to mitigate this terrible experience. He also sent us a «free» drink. .. . I mentioned that the app was served on top of the entrees, making it effectively wasted, and he apologized for that, but did not offer to credit us for it or to remake it later. How was the steak, you ask? Remember that this was the«Land and Sea» plate. I hoped that our evening might be redeemed with a glorious piece of beef, but alas, no. The thing was good sized, and had perfect grill marks on it, but that was all. Almost completely bland and tasteless, even after adding salt, which I seldom if ever add to my food. Thinking my «taste» was off(because of the«lobster») I offered a taste to my companion. .. she remarked that the only thing she tasted was chewy and char. Four bites and I saw no point in finishing it. So, utter ruination of a date night dinner, with the only«good» part of the meal(the appetizer) wasted by being served WITH the entrees. Our«compensation» for this horrible, terrible, literally sickening experience? $ 18 off of a $ 70 bill. Now, I’m not a restaurant owner or manager, but I HAVE worked in customer service and sales for many years, and IMO here is how this SHOULD have been handled by the manager: Manager: «Mr. Customer, I am TERRIBLY sorry that we served you an inedible dish and ruined your evening. Please accept my sincere apologies, and there will be NO charge for the meal. Please DO accept my explanation that this was an isolated occurrence, and PLEASE return again to give us another chance to make this right for you.» This would have left a much better«taste» in my mouth, and I might not have left this review at all. I probably WOULD have taken the manager up on this(hypothetical) offer to return again(since we are LOCALS) but, alas that is not to be. We will NEVER patronize Keith’s Oaks again, not even if invited by someone else, and in fact(since I didn’t really eat anything) we stopped at another restaurant immediately after leaving, where I had a delicious bowl of clam chowdah with some cheddar biscuits. Which was delicious! Where did we find this tasty salvation for our«spoiled» evening? Red LOBSTER. How awesomely ironic. .. . In summary, if you eat at Keith’s Oaks, be CAREFUL with what you order, ESPECIALLY if it is seafood. Smell it, examine it, make SURE it is safe to eat before you put it in your body. Or just don’t ever eat there.

Ok, so the tables and décor look a little dated and weird! However, we always have such a good time here. Last night(Saturday) they had karaōke and at first we were like«oh no why did we come here» but we had a blast! They placed all types of songs not just one genre. The beer is super super cheap… did I mention the beer is super super cheap? Mike was our server and he was prompt, nice and we never had to go looking for him even though we decided not to sit in the main area. They are wheelchair accessible. There is long ramp on the side of the building in front of the accessible parking spots. The bathroom is also wheelchair accessible, nice and big with a sink in it. The bar seats are all high and no lowered seat for wheelchairs but there are plenty of tables. If you are in the Brandon area, I would suggest you visit for a drink!
