Barney’s of Brandon

A few months ago a bought a used scooter from Barney’s. I’m guessing it was probably one of the cheapest, lowest profit vehicles they’ve sold all year. And in the case of a used scooter it’s always going to be buyer beware. However, when I had a couple of issues with it, one of which would not have been cheap to repair, they did it willingly. No grief. No questions asked. Nothing was too much trouble. Just «no problem, we’ll take care of it.» If they treat such a low-​ticket customer this way, you know that this is a business that understands the importance of great customer service. Every customer. Every time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

This place apparently will not work on personal water craft over 10 years old. I have 2 yamaha units and both are over 10 years old and they will not work on them.
My lake neighboor has a nice big 3 person yamaha about 10 years old and they relectantly worked on it .
Love the product but I would not buy new from this place. Too many used at affordable prices. Parts? forget about it… go online.
Be ready for the 85.00/hour charge for anything. I have been waiting 3 years to post this review.

Be very careful with your credit card info! Called to order parts over the phone at around 9 am, gave my credit card number and was told my order was placed. The next day I called to see if my parts were in and was told my order was not eligible for next day delivery since I placed it after 12. I asked how that was possible and the manager said EVEN THOUGH HE REMEMBERED SPEAKING TO ME AT 9, my order was placed at 12. I cancelled my order immediately. They must have written my card number down and placed the order after lunch. Bad customer service on top a unsecured buyer experience.
This happened about a year ago and I just refuse to go back. I buy my parts anywhere else.
The attempt to discredit my review by K.C. W. of Barney’s of Brandon is greatly appreciated. I also appreciate your attempt explain your credit card process to me. I am amazed none of your staff have the ability to write something down as I read it to them over the phone. Since I was foolish enough to read it off to your staff over the phone I admit some if not all blame to be mine, but your staff did process my order hours after I read them my information and I canceled my card immediately after the transaction .
Your need to research my «story» only makes your entire business appear more inept. I have no interest in reliving the horrors of my last order with you just so you can pretend to be a professional.
In the future if you wish to alleviate a customers concerns you should as start at it day one. This issue was brought to your parts manager (as he was identified) and he failed to address it. Trying to save face in the manner in which you are now attempting only furthers the concerns I have addressed.

Barneys made sure that I was taken care of on a very difficult fix. I had an issue that would just not go away and they stayed with it and tested the ski until they knew that they had done it right and that I was totally satisfied. I can not say enough about Kenny in service, he is an incredibly dedicated service professional with good follow through on issues.
It’s nice to have a business that puts service first and makes sure that they follow through even when the going gets tough.
I sincerely thank you all from the service manager to the leadership at the top!

This rating is for the sales staff — very attentive, knowledgeable, honest, and helpful. I will be back to purchase my helmet.
PS this store is across the street from the Harley Davidson dealership.
