Planetarium at RVCC

Is really give this place 3 stars for groups. There is lot to recommend about the RVCC Planetarium. As an attraction, it is unique for this part of central NJ. The staff is friendly and patient, especially important with large groups of kids. We had 150 kids for the laser light show and they had a nice pre-​packaged program of songs that really appealed to our pre-​tweeners. The downside, to accommodate our group size they had to split us in half, and while one group enjoys the show, the other wanders through a meager space exhibit completing a scavenger hunt. The gift shop is very threadbare and what is there is schlocky. On the plus side we were permitted to hang out in the courtyard for two hours afterwards to have lunch which gave us access to the school cafeteria and bathrooms. In all, maybe two hours, but not enough to justify loading up the busses.
