Toyota of Braintree

Place is a typical ratty sleazy car dealership. I purchased my truck at a different Toyota dealership and wasn’t happy with the customer service or lack thereof and had heard decent things about this place. My first visit for oil change etc was fine. My second visit I was baited into the 45,000 mile $ 300.00 checkup. I wanted to see what kind of people I was dealing with in regards to honesty so I marked my tires 1,2,3,4. Whelp wouldn’t ya know only the front passenger tire went to the rear drivers side and vice versa. The other 2 were never touched. I called and spoke with the person that i dealt with Kendol Huggins. He swore up and down he was standing there when my tires were rotated. He couldn’t understand that I marked them and 2 weren’t touched. He kept saying «well we cleaned your battery terminals» well yay, thanks for that! Outstanding service! I’m sure it was above and beyond the scope of work, Ya Right! He then said he’d go talk to the guys and he’d call me back and he did leave a message but what’s the point? I’m sure it’ll be some sort of BS that I don’t really care to hear. I’ll be going to my local mechanic like I should’ve done in the beginning. They had my truck for an hour and a half !!! They don’t even do a simple complimentary vacuum of your vehicle. EVEN TECH LUBE DOES THAT which leads me to wonder, Did they even change my oil? How would I know? I wouldn’t. Did they check my fluids? Brakes? or anything at all? I just counted 30 items they checked off as checked and good. How do I know this really happened? They couldn’t even rotate 4 tires.
So shady and pathetic.

I was there for my 45,000 mile maintenance service. While the place is big and nice, the service was too pricey. I was told that the standard price for 45K service was $ 250. I was then given 10% off due to a promotion. Also I didn’t need the tire rotation service since I recently installed new tires. The car was in a good shape so there was not extra charges during the service. In the end, with the promotion and no tire rotation, the final price came down to $ 197. I googled and found that Toyota at Wellesley suggested a price around $ 55 for the 45K service. And this website
suggests that the price is between $ 59 and $ 103 after putting in my car model and the zip code. My own past experience with non-​major maintenance service was around $ 80. If you come here, you will have to believe that the service quality and the produce they use at this place is 2X better than others…

Got there at 9;30am for my first 5000mi. maintenance and I was running late. I was greeted immediately and handed over my keys. Then Heather came and had me sit down for a quick bit of paperwork while I grumbled that I was going to have to hurry to the T.
Heather heard this and about 3 minutes later I was on the free shuttle and actually got to my appointment a little early. The car was ready about an hour or so later and I again was greeted by Heather and after a minute of paperwork was on my way.
Nice job! (and i didn’t even buy the new car at Braintree Toyota)

This is a review for Toyota of Braintree service as I bought my car at 4runner at Boch Toyota. It’s not practical to return to Boch Toyota for service, they are too far away.
Previously, I had a negative experience with Expressway Toyota. In my opinion, their service department has a flexible relationship with the truth.
I went to Toyota of Braintree with an open mind. Heather provided me with an estimate for an oil change, new brake rotors and pads for the rear axle, a new air filter, and told me it would take around 1.5 hours.
While I waited, I used the free wifi and desk space to get some work done on my laptop. The tech finished my 4runner early and the final bill was $ 50 less than the estimate. The cost of just the brake work at Toyota of Braintree was about $ 450. I received a quote from a chain for $ 350 and my local independent could get it done for $ 295. I could have purchased the parts at Tire Rack and done it myself with a friend for around $ 200 in parts.
I chose Toyota of Braintree because their price includes OEM parts and my Toyota credit card points saved me $ 200 on the purchase. My 4runner is running well and I hope to work with Heather again in the future. I found her to be efficient, competent, and business-​like. She is a woman of her word.
I am a bit disappointed in Toyota Corporate in that the wheels on my 2008 4runner are flaking and bubbling. There are lots of people all over the web who have the same problem and Corporate is denying it.
That said, I love my Toyota 4runner, it’s the best car I have ever owned and I prefer the style of my 2008 model to the «Transformer» inspired look of the new models. A new 4runner in the basic trim is around $ 36,000 so I want to make mine last as long as I can.

My Wife and I have been having our cars serviced here for years. However, our last experience there and interaction with their service department will be the last. They were rude, aggressive, confrontational and demeaning. Over the past few visits I had noticed the customer service level steadily dropping and it reached all time lows. I reached out to their customer service director, sales director (we are close to buying a new car), and the owner expressing my feelings of the treatment we received at this visit. After two and one-​half months we’ve gotten no response. So, officially we are done with Toyota of Braintree, and any Tufankjian dealership since this is how they treat customers. Save yourself a headache and avoid this place.

Me and my husband were looking to lease a car and a friend recommended us to the Toyota of Braintree, I’m glad we went there.
Fred Zeiba was the sales person who helped us through the process of selecting a car. He was very helpful, knowledgeable, and thorough. He was very honest, and went above and beyond to get us the best deal. Now we are driving our new Camry 2016 for the monthly payments that we wanted. Carlos, the sales manager was very helpful as well.
We are happy with their service and we don’t regret driving all the way to Braintree for their business since we live in the north shore.

This is an update from my last post. I called back to speak to anyone else because Emily Rose would not return my phone call. The service department scheduled for me to bring in my car today (Monday) at 4pm. I just got a call at 9:40am at work that I should bring in my car this morning so they can diagnose it again. They clearly told me friday that there is no possible way for me to bring my car in the morning. Any normal person is in work by this time. I’m not going to leave work last minute because a dealership can’t do there job right. I am so fed up with this place. I’m going to take my car somewhere else. Oh yeah did I mention that consultant hung up on me while on the phone.

A bunch of phony people who work here. I was to quick to review this place. I take back what I said before. I should have waited. They just want your business and act like they will be of service to you whenever you need help. But this is not the case. Unprofessional to not return people phone calls

I was looking to trade in my truck for a new one. I went to a few other local dealerships to get quotes. Toyota of Braintree gave me the best trade in value that was right in line with Kelly Blue Book.
Ok so that is done lets see what they can do for me with a new truck. The process was smooth, I told them what I was looking for and they made it work. Test drove a few trucks found the one I liked. Then came their offer for financing after trade in.
The offer was great, this had to be too good to be true. Ok lets see if it holds true when they call the bank for approval. I was weary. The offer held!
Within a few hours of being there I had my new truck to drive off the lot that day. Best car buying experience ever!

When my husband decided to find a new vehicle I suggested we go back to Tufankjian as I myself just purchased a 2015 Prius from them earlier this summer.
When we initially came into the building, the gentleman I had worked with back in May was working with another customer. Being that we were on a limited time frame, I asked to speak with someone available. After test driving the vehicle, we explained that we have financing set up and needed to figure out the best deal on our trade-​in vehicle.
During negotiations, I was told, «the problem is there are a lot of people getting a piece of this commission.» I was confused, and then was told that because I had worked with someone in May, he wanted a commission and that because my husband had requested a price on the vehicle online before we got there, the person who e-​mailed him wanted the commission. Finally, the person working with us today would get part of the commission. My husband and I looked at each other completely befuddled by the unprofessional statements. After a further discussion, we realized that we had been informed that we could not get a better deal because too many people were getting a piece of the commission. I realize everyone has to earn a living but discussing who wants what commission and telling us this was a problem for making a deal was so bizarre!
My husband and I have purchased many vehicles and not every experience has been the best. This was by far the most uncomfortable situation I have been put in.
I realize one lost deal is not a monumental catastrophe for such a large and successful organization but as a company who prides itself on a strong reputation and good customer service, I was completely put off.

I HATE car shopping but everyone here was wonderful! They went out of their way for me through the whole buying experience. Fausto Daricha (sales) and Bob Hadges (Financing) made a potentially stressful experience pleasant! I recommend them and this dealership highly!

I dropped my 2013 Prius C off for routine maintenance with Heather who was short with her responses, rude, and dismissive. I let her know that along with the routine maintenance that the USB slot was no longer charging my phone and the beep noise when I locked my car was no longer sounding. She said that the car lock beep sound may be in the settings and that they would replace the USB slot.
When I picked up my car she informed me that the car lock beep was not in the settings and she didn’t know why it wasn’t working. She proceeded to tell me I could book another appointment if I wanted it fixed. As it wasn’t a huge issue and didn’t want to have to book another appointment I let it go even though they should have at been able to fix it in the initial appointment.
She also told me that they replaced the USB slot and that everything should be fine. Upon receiving the car the USB still did not work. I tried 4 different cables and they all did not work. I also was using the exact same phone for the last year which had charged in my car before completely fine. I even tried charging my friends phone which uses less battery than mine and it still didn’t work. I called Heather back to let her know of the issue. After I explained my situation, she asked if I had any software updates on my phone which I said no. Her response was «well I don’t know what else to tell you» and «it’s probably your phone.» She also suggested that I could bring it in if I really wanted them to take a look but she was convinced that they probably wouldn’t be able to fix it.
I called another Toyota location and they were more than happy to take a look and were able to fix both problems.

1. When i drove away they called me back asking me to pull over and make sure they remembered to put my lug nuts back on the wheels… because if not i could loose a wheel
2. They forgot to tighten my lug nuts, and I came extremely close to losing a wheel on the highway

CROOKS (even if you’ve bought a car from them)!
The service department does not care for customer service! I needed a lug nut removed because the key for it doesn’t work anymore. I bought a NEW set of wheel locks from them and had trouble removing only ONE of the 4 lug nuts.
Prior to driving there, I called and asked someone if they could help me loosen the nut, thinking they could just bring a master set to the drive-​in and loosen it. I pulled in and one of the service managers came out and told me it was going to be a 45 to hour plus wait and on top of that, a $ 55 charge! I’m like, «it’s just loosening a lug nut AND I bought a new set of wheel locks from you guys!»
1) I could have bought my wheel locks anywhere else then had I known there wasn’t going to be any courtesy service at all.
2) After this fiasco, I won’t be bringing my car here for service anymore even though I have been bringing it there since I’ve purchased my vehicle from them in 2007 (yeah, I bought it from them and this is how they treat a customer who’s been with them for 8 years)
3) I’m not buying any vehicle from them anymore because they don’t care for customer loyalty, so I’d rather go somewhere else that actually cares.
If you like getting scammed and treated like an endless bag of money, this is the place for you…’cause they don’t care about you, other than your wallet. DESPICABLE!

Few issues happens in my last visit this dealer service department, My alternator died on me last weekend, had it towed to Braintree Toyota. Worked with Brian, got told the alternator went bad and did not charge the battery, need to replace a new one, I mentioned put the new alternator for my car, he sold me a Toyota alternator for $ 562, $ 156 for labor, and a new battery $ 125 and $ 25 for labor. I gave him 3 stars for customer service because he gave me a $ 100 discount (he felt bad to rif me off too bad?). When I got home, I found out the alternator is a re-​manufacture unit, not a brand new unit. Why
Lost screws issue, please review your vehicle carefully before leave the dealer, this happened to me before. In this visit, I opened my hood, inspected and found few screws were missing, a technician removed 6 screws from the engine cover, and put put 4 screws back and 2 screws were missing (why?), missing screws indicates can missing other parts in your vehicle…
Please pay extra attention when you bring your car for service at this dealer… just my 3 cents…

As a customer service professional I appreciate Great Customer Service! That’s exactly what I got! I went to Toyota of Braintree after seeing a car online that I wanted to see in person. My son came with me and we met with Matt Ward who had us follow another salesman as the car had been moved to their Weymouth site. I fell in love with the car, but upon returning was informed that the car had been sold the day before, but the financing was not yet finalized. They vowed to find me the right car for me, and they did! I met with Bob Wilfand and Matt, they told me about a 2013 Corolla. Bob had me test drive it and I really liked it. A few days and some magic by Wallace in the finance dept and I drove my «new» car home. I wasn’t «SOLD» a car, I never felt pressure to buy that or any other car. I was treated with respect and felt appreciated as a customer.

6 months ago I traded in my 2005 Tacoma and got a pre-​owned 2012 Tacoma from this place. I had walked in with the intentions of getting a newer truck but lowering my payments. I ended up raising my payments, which would have been fine if I was happy with the truck.
After the usual all-​day sales run-​around and tricks, I had decided on a Tacoma Iiked and I specifically asked Tony Gribaudo, the salesman, «what’s the deal with the satellite radio, do you have to pay for that?» to which he replied no, it comes with the truck. I reiterated, «so there’s no monthly fee for it? It’s not a trial or something» and he again assured me that there was no fee. I bought the truck and every day for the first month that I had it, XM Radio called me wanting to sign me up after the «trial» was done.
I came to the dealership a few times for various services and installations and wanted to talk to him about this, but everyone I dealt with said he no longer worked there. When I called a few weeks later they said he still did work there but wasn’t available. 3 months later the trial was done and I no longer have it. On top of this, the windshield wipers on the truck are a joke. A cheap, factory motor was put in and it only has two settings, medium and fast, with no intermittent setting. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but it’s a pain during snow and rain storms, and honestly, I’m 32 years old– I had no idea they still even made cars without it. I mentioned this during both of my services/​installations, but I was told it would be too expensive of a wiring job and to forget it.
I wrote several emails to Tony and their service department saying that i wasn’t happy with the truck or the service and that I wanted to give them the opportunity to rectify it with a different vehicle and they were ignored. This place is a big company that doesn’t care about their customers. Don’t go here.

I recently bought a 2012 Toyota RAV4 from Toyota of Braintree. My sales rep was Sunny Ahuja and he was awesome. I was going into the day thinking I was not going to make any decisions, and Sunny sold me on the first one I looked at — and I am still SO happy with my decision. It has everything I wanted plus more for an extremely reasonable price. He was very helpful and assured me many times that if I need anything at all just give him a call. He even helped me set up my phone to the bluetooth system in the car.

My girlfriend and I leased a RAV4 from Toyota of Braintree. Our lease consultant was Jordan who did a great job. We test drove 3 different vehicles and Jordan helped us get into the vehicle that we liked the most. Outstanding service and easy process. We highly recommend this dealership.
