Thank you Stacey for such a wonderful SUP session. Excellent support and guidance and then let us get on with it. I would recommend you to anyone. Both Gian-​luc and I had a great experience at Nantuket Beach and we learned/​practiced a lot.

My wife and I went on a Costa Rican stand up paddle surfing adventure with Stacey Mac in December 2014. I first want to say that Stacey Mac does a lot as far as planning your trip and is very accommodating to changing the itinerary working with us every moment along the way.
She is very knowledgeable about the lodging and restaurants in and around Nosara and is a great guide while driving to the different surf breaks. She usually comes with an assistant that is a Costa Rican national. This made things fun for us having someone to practice our spanish on. She was generally on time when picking us up for the day or meeting us in the evening. But keep in mind, once in Nosara things move slower. She did go the extra mile for our coffee everyday, seeing as the restaurant was closed each morning. Stacey would drive us back to where she was staying and get us coffee from the family she was staying with. These are the kind of moments my wife and I love while on vacation and this family she stays with are very special people.
Stacey was very willing to drive to different surf breaks, but sometimes seemed reluctant to get into the water. We drove all the way from Nosara (which at the time had some swell) to Tamarindo which was completely flat. I know that the internet can be sketchy down there, Wifi at the hotel was out a few days due to high winds, but I assumed that she would have checked the surf report prior to our departure. That being said, my wife and I did some flat water paddling that day and explored the town. Once again we had one of those unforgettable moments while in Tamarindo, buying our lunch out of the back of some locals truck and eating a most unforgettable meal!
She arranged a horseback riding trip for us that was great, frustrating, and beautiful all in the same trip. Angel set us up and off we went, great. Frustrating because his english was worse than my spanish. I speak only poquito, and he speaks nada. That being said part of the charm on this adventure was trying to find out what he was saying. Beautiful because we arrived right at the beach for sunset.
Stacey Mac is very eager to please her clients and it comes off with every interaction with her. The surfing in and around Nosara is great. The people are wonderful and I can’t wait to book again. Pura Vida!

Stacey Mac is fabulous! One lesson with Stacey on the water will result in becoming totally and completely hooked on stand up paddle boarding! She is both knowledgable and passionate about the sport and her enthusiasm is contagious!
Stacey is the ideal teacher. She is patient and understanding and most important Judgement free!!! When I first took a lesson I was nervous but Stacey made me feel calm and she was so encouraging. It is an all around amazing experience!
I have paddled with Stacey for a one on one lesson and I have brought a group to take a lesson with her.
After the group lesson everyone was dying to book their next lesson!
If you are interested in taking a lesson I would 100% recommend SUP SONAS!
