Stanley Steemer came to my house to clean my kitchen floor. Bob and Anthony had great customer service skills, very professional and did an excellent job. I highly recommend them for tile and grout and carpet cleaning.

BEWARE AGGRESSIVE UP SELLING AND DECEPTIVE
Phone quote from 800 call in center was $ 397. Upon arrival the lead guy aggressively starts to up-sell. Pretends his handheld computer is broken and can’t provide an official quote, so he makes up a price.
FINAL PRICE WAS over $ 1,000!!! I should have purchased a new rug instead.
Provided a free gift as consolation for the $ 1,000 bill. Not surprisingly, the «gift» was already opened, broken and useless.
Work performed was mediocre.
AVOID THE BRAINTREE FRANCHISE.

I booked the appt 2 days ago and also call to confirm it. They said they will come between 9 – 1. WE took the half day off and move all the furniture. It’s 2:00 pm now and no one call and show up. Call the management company twice and all they said it’s wait. I am very disappointed with Stanley steemer right now. I will think spending 300 will give me a better services. but I don’t see they value customer’s time.

Surprised to see bad reviews on here considering what a great experience we had with them. In and out quickly, very polite and courteous, nice guys to chat to, and most importantly they did an excellent job, getting a lot of difficult stains out of our carpets. Orvin and Leonard arrived right on time. I was given a heads up call as well, which was nice. They were very polite and courteous. Took special care to not damage or mark up my house as they were doing the basement. There was one spot I was not completely satisfied with and they went back without a hassle and removed it completely. I was very pleased and satisfied with the results and would definitely use them again. Kim

Great customer service and nice workers, however It wasnt worth the money– Cleaned 2 bathroom floors, couch and rug on stairs. Absolutely no difference with the rug on the stairs (cleaned less than 15 minutes) — they said it was too old and needs to be replaced but it isnt that old for a berber rug. The sofa looked great and the bathroom floor may not have been necessary. Really disappointed in the hall stairs rug, will try another servicer next time.

Great Job. The team that steamed the wall to wall and stairs of my mothers home were professional, considerate, and meticulous. They also did the cement floors in the basement and garage as prep for listing it for sale. The deep clean revitalized the house, and even the agent mentioned how much better everything showed. Very very happy with staff, and service.

I did not appreciate the carpet cleaner informing me that because they were going to get my sofa wet that I needed to also purchase an upgrade of protection and deodorizing in order to avoid the growth of mildew. I had only had carpets cleaned before so then I began to worry about my almost brand new sofa. When he handed me the bill that was $ 100 more than my original quote I realized that I had been upsold in a very unethical manner! I called customer service and they confirmed that mildew should never be a risk because they extract 95% of the water they use to clean. He assured me I would hear back from a manager but I haven’t, no surprise, I will NEVER use Stanley Steemer again!

I’ve had this branch of Stanley Steemer come over multiple times after our basement-level apartment flooded (I’ve also used their services for carpet and upholstery cleaning). They have consistently delivered excellent results. Their cleaning professionals are very knowledgeable, fast, thorough, and polite. Our walls and carpets look brand-new; the services were at a very reasonable cost for the quality of workmanship and customer service.
If you live in the Dorchester area, it’s a no-brainer. They’re super nice guys and they do a great job.

I called because I wanted my bathroom grout cleaned, and they advertise for this service. It’s also written in big letters on the side of their truck. I added in the bedroom carpet to get up to their minimum service charge, but the carpet wasn’t really dirty.
After the guys arrived and spent quite a bit of time setting up, they let me know they couldn’t do the bathroom because the tile is natural marble. I had them do the bedroom anyway since I’d taken the morning off work and they were all set up. But why wouldn’t they say in any ads or in person or in the confirming email or confirming phone call that they only do ceramic tile, and not stone tile?
Waste of my time and money.

We just had two rooms steam cleaned and were thrilled with the service! Not only were both technicians professional and courteous but very knowledgable and provided us with estimates for some future service. They were patient in explaining our options and treated our home as they would their own. As they left I mentioned to my wife that this is what great service is all about! Its rare to find. We would recommend to anyone and will continue to be loyal customers.

Great customer service, but not happy with the final result.
After a successful Halloween party, my couch needed to be cleaned. People were out to clean the couch within hours of me calling, but the «cleaning and deodorizing» process left a disgusting, powdery chemical smell that permeated my entire apartment. I gave it a few days before calling to complain that it hadn’t gone away. They were apologetic and sent people out to clean it again, same day. The smell wasn’t as abrasive as the first time, but my couch is certainly not «deodorized» — it now has a permanent, gross smell that I’m stuck with. I might be forced to get a new couch sooner than expected because the smell is nauseating…
