Don’t even bother, unless you are absolutely desperate like we were on a recent Friday evening. Should have known better. We were looking for a bite to eat before going to the movies up the hill, and struck out at Legal upstairs. Help was hiding in back, and most of the food items and sides were sold out. Really? 6 pm Friday night? Staff would help a customer then run out back. More customers would come in, but they wouldn’t come out. Mind you, they make the food out front in full view of the customers, not out back. Was the strangest thing I ever saw. I wonder what they were smoking back there – I want some! I managed to wrangle a passable meatball sub. My friends wanted soup, no luck. All out. And, they made it quite clear to anyone coming in that if you wanted tomatoes on anything, sorry, you’d be out of luck. Then they would go hide in back. Shrug. Weird.

Kinda cool, if you eat here your can purchase a 9 $ movie ticket for the AMC theater behind the restaurant! Pretty good $ 3.80 off an adult movie ticket and $ 1.25 off children’s admission. Food portions are good for the price! Fresh and hot ^_^ with lots of topping options.

I was just starving today so after work about 8PM decided to try Potbelly, big mistake. The place was empty, sort of confusing upon entering. I ordered a chicken salad not toasted with lettuce, simple right, no way. The three employees seemed puzzled this is a sandwich shop what else would I order. Couldn’t wait to get home I opened the wrapper and what a joke just small dabs of chicken salad on the roll with big puffy bread that’s it they even got the roll order wrong. No lettuce so I ask what did my seven dollars buy me? I Should have made my own sandwich at home. I’ve been dying to try this place for two years and this was my first chance I will never be back I will give Five Guys next door a try. Sadly, this indeed is highway robbery and when I looked in my bag no receipt, now this really left a bad taste in my mouth.

Nice and clean, plenty of places to sit, a couple tables outside. Music blaring so loud we could not hear the sandwich makers. I had a salad. It was OK, but didn’t seem all that fresh and at $ 8.50, I think more than a tiny container of dressing would have been nice. My boss enjoyed his cookie, and his sandwich was OK. All in all, it was an OK place, but nothing special.

OK, I can’t say too much about the sandwiches. They’re better than average sandwiches. I really love their spicy vegetable mix, but be warned it is HOT! The main thing is that they have the best shakes made with real ice cream and frozen fruit, and they are cheaper and better than the ones you can get at Ben and Jerry’s, JP Lick’s, Shake Shack or, as of a few weeks ago, Five Guys.

So I had been wanting to try a Potbelly Sandwich shop for some time now. I was in Braintree, and there were a lot of choices on where to eat. So I thought I would finally give them a try. Located in a little strip mall right off the Highway, it is easy to get to for sure. It was a Saturday afternoon, so not packed but there were a few people inside dining. The best part I thought was a young man playing the guitar and singing. How nice that is. Very different for a little Sandwich Shop, and not something I expected but, enjoyed. I chose the Meatball Sandwich. It was good, but one thing they do not do is Gluten free bread. They don’t carry it. One thing I did not like was the girl behind the counter was sweeping the rug while the food was being made. All the dust and dirt fly’s up into the food. The only thing I did not like about it, other than that very nice.

Working out of my Corporate office used to be like any old day. Clock in, go to training, have some sort of catered lunch, clock out, go home. But THEN they built the neat little shopping plaza at the bottom of the hill. And in that shopping plaza, Potbelly set up shop. And Vivz was happy. Like SUPER happy. Vivz started looking forward to spending a day at Corporate because that meant a sandwich at lunch and on a good day, a sandwich to bring home for dinner! I don’t branch out very much. I like to stick with a «Big» Italian to ensure that I’ll have a little left over for a snack or whathaveyou when the mood strikes. Recently discovered Potbelly’s own hot peppers and WOW. My mouth feels like it’s on fire. But a good fire. A meaty delicious fire. Cool it down with some can-only-be-found-here Zapp’s Sour Cream & Creole Onion chips. Life is good. Apologies for the choppy review, but I’m sitting here nomming on an Italian and feeling the Potbelly high that one gets when enjoying one of their fabulous sandwiches. Flippin’ love this place. Now can we get one in the Metrowest area, please?

There are a lot of ways to eat an unhealthy lunch at potbelly. Most of them are disguised as a healthy lunch. «I’ll have a sandwich,» you say. What you get is a bomb of pickled meats, fluffy bread, and cheese. It is good, but you can’t be eating like that for lunch all the time. Instead, order your sandwich«thin cut.» They cut about a third of the bread out. Not only dos this save calories, but more importantly, it corrects the bread-to-fillings ratio. You get a sandwich that is mostly fillings instead of mostly bread. Score. Next, skip the empty, tasteless, fake cheese. Get all the toppings, but leave off the bad stuff. No mayo, extra hots. They have the good hot peppers here, pickled in olive oil and vinegar, just like the condiment from Chicago with the name I can’t spell. Your best bet between 12 and 1230 is to call ahead so you don’t have to stand in what seems like an interminable line, in which you will inevitably be caught behind an 87 year old grandma who doesn’t know how to order. Service is adequate, if nothing special. The folks who work here simply aren’t paid enough to care about getting things right or thinking about what you want, so you must be very specific and deliberate when ordering and giving special instructions. They do attempt to do things right, but will never go above and beyond. If I was making minimum wage, I wouldn’t either, so I don’t blame them. I don’t like their beverage selection, but you can duck into Qdoba next door and use the coke freestyle machine. Go ahead, don’t feel guilty. Get your diet grape soda on. (Be careful in this parking lot. People are crazed from shopping at the mall across the street, so they have a combative mindset in this small, cramped lot. Keep your eyes peeled.)

Decent sandwich. Slightly better than Subway. As other have said, sandwich small for the price and stingy meat portion. Wouldn’t return cause can get same thing anywhere else. Not sure what the hype or what idiot would buy this stock.

There’s not much to dislike here. Sandwiches are made to your liking. Calories for each item are posted on the wall. Tastes a lot fresher than subway so eat a d**k Jared I don’t care how much weight you lost. Potbelly is also a lot faster than subway and other restaurants of its kind

Very good salads. The service is quick and people are friendly. The brownie cookies are really good. Live music at lunch is an added bonus.

Got take away from here and they were very quick with getting our orders ready. I got the chickpea salad and an oreo smoothie. The salad was really good other than the chickpeas… they seemed like they came straight out of a can with no seasoning on them. The smoothie was great! My friend also ordered a smoothie, but they never put it in…

Third time. Simple ham and cheese toasted sandwich. Plus another mixed berry shake. All good. This place blows away D’Angelos and Subway.

The sandwiches are good, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are good, but delivery requires a minimum $ 25.00 order? i can barely create a lunch order over 10 dollars for myself… I work in a small office, its usually just me here. So not only do i not have enough people here to even create a $ 25 lunch order, but because I’m alone, i can’t leave to go pick up my sandwich. So for that reason, Potbelly has lost my business today, not that they probably care. So if you can get a spot in the tiny parking lot and eat there, it’s great. But they’re pretty useless if you’re a small office and need something delivered.

My hubby and I go here pretty often for lunch. Service is always top notch and staff is very pleasant. The food is generally healthy and consistent. I’d recommend to anyone in the area looking for a quick bite.

We figured we’d give this place a try considering there was 10 of us before the movie and we all couldn’t sit together at Qdoba! The menu is a bit small. Someone greeted us very nicely at the front of the restaurant with a menu to help us with any questions. I felt the prices were a bit high and the sandwiches were a bit small for what we paid for. They were just okay… notthing to fancy. I’m not sure I’d hurry back to this place. I do like the way it’s decorated inside. My suggestion is to put more items on the menu! There’s not enough choices. I didn’t really like any of the choices to be honest!

I’ve been here one time and I like this place. The calories are on the wall menu which is great!(but not on the paper menu which is odd). Many of the sandwiches are around 500– 600 calories. So do the math — the sandwiches are not foot-long subs overloaded with meat. I am fine with this. You won’t leave here feeling bloated and disgusting. The PB&J is higher in calories and fat than the tuna — I’m interested to see how dry the tuna is. Normally, tuna salad is one of the worst offenders at sandwich shops(e.g., Subway, D’Angelos). Anywho, I had the Pizza sandwich(474 calories — 13WW points) and I would get it again. The Oatmeal & Chocolate cookie(420 calories — 11WW points) wasn’t bad either. I suppose it’s a better version of Subway, which isn’t saying much, but I’ll go back. The guitar player was a nice touch! PS — why is it called Pot Belly’s if the sandwiches are relatively low-cal?

I thought this place was pretty good. I have been here a couple of times for lunch and found the employees to be very helpful and friendly. They have a big space to eat in and it was well kept. As for the sandwich I got — I thought it was good. I got a turkey with wheat bread and veggies — I found the hot peppers to have the right amount of kick and was filled up. They also have great oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

I hate to start off a review by saying” yech, stay away from this place”, so I won’t! The Italian I ordered was great in flavor, small in size and almost exactly what I expected. Finding this place confusing upon entrance, I managed to ask one of the bored employees«where» I ordered. I found one I wanted, ordered and W A I T E D. One other customer, 4 employees behind the counter, and no one could find their way to help. I got the impression that they wanted to help one customer at a time, so I think maybe it’s a new stab at making each«contestant» feel like number ONE for a few moments. Problem is, while they were doing that — I felt like a big number TWO! SO, after waiting the 3 or 4 minutes and having that same one employee start helping me, I paid and got my change and left. This is where my main complaint starts. Not giving a customer a receipt WITH the change seemed odd, but acceptable. I got out to the car drove away, and looked in the bag — - nothing but food. So whenever I shop at a place that doesn’t give you a slip, I get bad feelings — and I don’t go back. Either the cashier made a simple error, or god forbid, something more sinister is afoot. That’s all I needed to keep me out of this place. I hope it wasn’t a regular occurrence with register«games». Strange side-note: It’s between a Five Guys and a Mexican food place. They were both PACKED, with folks eating and ordering… why was this place(literally in the middle of the two of them) EMPTY? Too weird for me to want to return to. I’ll go back to subway from now on. Eat Up!
