Went in to buy 2 pairs of Glasses, waited about 10 minutes to have someone greet me, took my information and then went to another customer, sat with another person from lens crafters and when i asked when we were going to get started, told original person was the only one who can fit me as he is the optician. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO LENSCRAFTERS AGAIN
For a company when is high priced to begin with, they do not have to treat me rudely by dropping me for another customer

Went in to check out some frames and to get an idea of cost. Regina was super friendly and helpful. She looked up my insurance information and told me what would be covered (I didn’t even think anything would be covered!). She also hooked me up with some great deals and my glasses were done in a little over an hour and she polished and fitted them for me. Great service and so many options and deals.

Associate Donna Martinez created an extraordinary and helpful experience at LensCrafters in Braintree. Typically, I find the whole eyeglass-​selection process to be an expensive ordeal, but she was patient and attentive. She had a great sense of taste and what would work for my situation. I felt her one-​on-​one focus changed my attitude, and I fully endorse their services and product quality. I had just had my prescription updated at the eye doctor’s office next door, and Lenscrafters offers a full range of prices and options.

Have gotten my last couple of pair of glasses her. Been about four years time for a new pair. Went in and started looking around. In the past someone always came up and asked if I needed help. Was a little busy but not that crowded. Seemed selection was not has much in the past. After fifteen minutes was not even approached by anyone. So walked out.

Super expensive! Slow! Just an okay selection! The staff was in denial when I tried my glasses on and told them they messed up the prescription as everything was blurry. One staff member responded by asking if I’ve ever worn glasses before. Eventually they admitted fault and apologized but not the best experience. Go anywhere but here!

Some really great staff… and some not really great staff. I had a good experience picking out my glasses and then a not so great experience picking them up and trying to get them to fit properly. One of the biggest annoyances was that they entered my email address incorrectly in the system and I never got a notification that my glasses were ready. I called a month later and they said my new glasses had been ready for a month. They had my phone number. I don’t know why they wouldn’t have just called… or looked to see that my last name is in my email address and that it was spelled wrong. I’d go back here in a pinch, but it is not my go to place.

Staff Tim, extremely helpful the first time and even though we did not purchase from this store. He was more than happy to help. He was friendly, helpful and everything ud expect from good customer service. I think ill return to get glasses from this store in the future. Just to get his help

I understand Lenscrafters is a corporate entity. I understand that the mall they’re in is fairly upscale. I understand that I, coming directly from work, looked less-​than-​desirable in their pristine glasses area–
But the treatment I received was abysmal.
The older woman who waited on me seemed distracted and like she wanted to be somewhere else. I was treated with distance and discourtesy. I understand the store was having some technical difficulties with their computers, too, which was fine… but the true trouble came when it was time to get my lenses.
I’ve used Lenscrafters a few times before. Twice, I think. Once in Hyannis and another time in Peabody. Both locations were helpful and by far much less… expensive and trying.
I understand also that by using new insurance, some things were, of course, going to change.
But never did I expect to be greeted with a fee of close to $ 300 for my prescription. With transitions, but still – even without, the bill still came down to a whopping $ 200 – BOTH WITH INSURANCE. I need these to see, so that really wouldn’t do. I tried to come up with another option.
When asking the associate whether or not there were options for a payment plan, she blandly stated, «well, you could open a Lenscrafters card with us… but I don’t think they’ll let you without purchasing frames.» And offered me literally nothing else. I didn’t have $ 300 to just blow on a slight change in prescription lenses despite my own being scratched from about a year and a half’s usage. I was angry; upset.
But the associate offered me no further solution (not even sympathy!), simply staring at me until I felt so uncomfortable I was pushed to tears and left.
I have never rated any experience so low. But no other associate stepped in to help, and the associate herself offered me 0 ideas to solve my issue.
Would I go back to a Lenscrafters again? At this point in my life, assuredly not.

Kudos for the great workmanship, finishing you get here on your prescription eye lenses.
I went to the other lenscrafters location in dedham for my prescription glasses and the finish was far worse than the worst! They remade it for me, it still didn’t change a thing, there was a huge gap between the frame’s corner and the lens.
I thought I’d come here and give it a shot. The manager was very approachable, cool. He said he’d ask his technician to remake the lens for me so it would fit my premium frame. And they did! I am more than happy with my new prescription glasses now.
Special mention to the manager here and the technician at this location who knows his job well.

I don’t know why this place is getting an average rating. I just got glasses for the second time in two years and I have to say that I have had great service both times.
Lindsay, the manager, and Paul both have treated me very well, know what they are doing in the complex job of fitting today’s sophisticated eyewear. Aside from the looks of the frames there is so much that goes into a pair of progressives such as I wear that you need people who really care about your satisfaction and vision.
I have bought glasses in several other places including online over the years and the service I have gotten at Braintree Lenscrafters is the best yet.

I had my first appointment w my new eye doctor next door at Braintree Eye Associates. After getting my new RX I went into LensCrafters and was greeted by Sylvia. She was absolutely adorable. She was top notch professional & knowledgable. She helped me pick out new frames AND my FIRST pair of prescription Sunglasses! Sylvia took her time w me, didn’t pressure me into anything and even walked me through my new insurance. Aside from the friendly staff the other great part was my new glasses were ready in just ONE HOUR! Very Happy. I highly recommend LensCrafters at the Plaza. Ask for Sylvia, although the rest of the staff was super fun too!

Excellent service. In and out with a pair of great glasses in 2 hours at an incredibly busy time of year. I worked with Paul. He was excellent as were the folks at the front desk. This is my new spot for getting glasses.

Absolutely awful. Only good thing is that they had a sale going on right when I needed a new pair of specs. Extremely overpriced and I wouldn’t mind paying if the customer service was 100% better and they looked like they actually cared about your money. Young Hispanic girl took my initial pre exam and she was exceptionally rude for absolutely no reason and seemed disgusted by my need for an eye exam. As predicted she did my prescription wrong and I had to go back to get it redone. The people at the front desk are really rude and I was waiting around till after hours because no one bothered to call me –like they said they would– to say my prescription was ready. God awful employees.

Awesome place! Their staff is so helpful and accommodating (Lynne and Jason). I got sunglasses here, they did everything thing they could to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I will be back for regular glasses soon! Great for a chain eyeglass store!

TOTALLY REDEEMED THEMSELVES…
I haven’t purchased a new pair of glasses is about 5 or 6 years, but I had an infection in one of my eyes and my Dr. Suggested wearing contacts less often and wearing my glasses more so I decided to get a newer pair.
I came to this LensCrafters and without getting into the whole long story my initial experience was a total nightmare, anything that could have possibly gone wrong with my order did, and even after my vision insurance kicked in I was about $ 500 out of pocket. I mean I was real pissed… In comes Andre and Jason.
Andre is one of the techs in this location and they guy is just awesome at his job. He empathized and I could tell he was genuinely concerned with what had happened to me. He took the time to explain every process that goes into making the special lenses I need, and how they are fitted into the glasses. He even custom fit me for a free pair of sunglasses that LensCrafters threw in to try and make the whole thing up to me, and then argued with the lab tech that yes, my Rx would fit the lenses is wanted and he was right.
Jason is the store manager and somehow this big ordeal never got on to his desk until it was too late. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do when your organization provides bad service but the true character of a person is what they do to make it right. Jason had done nothing wrong and was completely attentive, took the fault as the manager (as any good leader would do) and personally took handle of my order. I was refunded every dime I spent out of pocket, got a free pair of Rx sunglasses and Jason personally made each follow up phone call to me.
To make thing even better, once the infection subsided it literally added an astigmatism to my eye and then it went away! So now I had to reorder my lenses a month after picking up my new glasses and Jason personally emails me to follow up on my order.
Moral of the story… Anyone can make a mistake but a true professional will make it right. I will seek out Jason for any pair of glasses I ever purchase for as long as he’s in the industry.

They have a wide selection of frames to choose from. Much more to choose from than Cohens downstairs.
The managers and sales were helpful and friendly. I thought it was pretty cool that they use the computer to do measurements now. Managers were knowledgeable — I asked what does all those numbers in the script mean.
I’m happy that I’m not blind as a bat, just a normal eyeglass user!
Now I just have to wait a week to see how good of a job they cut the lens for my sunglasses since I repeatedly told them my concern for polarized lens warping the lens or come out too thick on the edge.

So now that my days of wearing contacts has been pretty much kiboshed, I needed to get a pair of prescription sunglasses. Since this particular location is attached to my eye doctor’s office, I figured this would be the easiest of options. There is a huge selection of frames and the staff (well, most of them) seem to have some comprehension of sunglasses. Since they were running a special of 50% off frames, I figured I would give it a try.
I finally picked out a pair and then practically had to chase someone down so I could start getting them made. Their sales tactic works like this: once they know they have to you sold on a pair of glasses, they quickly move to the next soul walking through the door to sell them. While you traverse the frames, it is clear that as the customer, your responsibility is to find someone to throw money at them. Grrrrr!
So I picked out a pair of Ray Bans and started the check-​out procedure. I will give them credit that they did several calculations as to what would yield me the «cheapest» out-​of-​pocket cost to me since insurance would only pick up so much. Really, that is the only shining moment.
An hour and a half later, I come back to pick them up. I bought a pair of tortoise shell glasses with the amber lenses. When I picked them up, the lenses were practically yellow and one could see through the lenses right to my eyes. They looked like something straight out of the 80s. All I needed was a pair of acid washed jeans to go with them. When I asked why they were so «light», all I got was, «Well, that’s the way they are.» It would have been REALLY nice to know that before I spent a decent chunk of change on them.
Two days went by and I finally had enough of them. Fortunately, LensCrafters has a really good return policy and I was able to pick out a new pair, with a new lens, and even try on a «sample» with the prescription lenses. Bottom line: it took a lot of aggravation, a lot of back-​and-​forth, and a lot of money to get what I wanted with a lot of subpar customer service.
Consider this as a disclaimer. If I were to do it again, I would have bought the frames from LensCrafters just based on their selection and work with an independent lens shop to have the lenses made for what I needed.

I don’t think this Lenscrafters, located in the South Shore Plaza is as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be, but it certainly could use a bit of improvement.
The Good:
First, this Lenscrafters has an exceptionally good selection of frames; many brand names, and a wide and diverse amount of frames offered. One of the best selections I’ve encountered in my experience. I found a set of frames which fit me perfectly.
Second, this Lenscrafters does an excellent job cutting the lenses to fit the frames. Other business I’ve frequented do a somewhat sloppy job of cutting the lenses that do not allow for the frames to properly enclose around the lens which ultimately results in a slight gap where the screws tie down — if you know what I mean. But not this Lenscrafters — they make the lenses fit the frame like a glove. Perfect!
Third, optical alignment, which accounts for how your eyes look out of the lenses. Lenscrafters offers a new type of computer program (whatever you want to call it!) for aligning vision within the lenses. Wow — what a difference I’ve noticed. Very clear, crisp viewing and comfortable on the eyes as everything is aligned perfectly. Eyes are not as tired anymore. This, in-​and-​of-​itself, is a worthy reason for trying Lenscrafters.
Fourth, the pricing, is reasonable. Between health insurance, coupons, and Lenscrafters own sales, it is possible to inexpensively price a pair of prescription lenses & frames.
And the Not so Great:
First, overall quality of the lenses. I’ve found that the polycarbonate lenses do scratch easily and the anti-​protective coating wears down after a while. I strongly recommend purchasing the warranty offered by Lenscrafters. I’ve had lenses replaced before, and if within the warranty period ordering replacement lenses is easy and hassle free.
Second, the staff, which — as someone else aptly noted — could also be found scooping ice cream in the mall food court is relatively young and tends to rush though servicing customers. The staff does an okay job, yet seems somewhat disinterested and ultimately concerned about moving onto the next client. My advice, don’t go on the weekend if you want a bit of extra attention. Try a weekday when the mall is less crowded and the staff can spend a bit of extra time with you.

I’ve been to this Lenscrafters (note — its redesigned its store) twice, when in need of new glasses.
The first trip was mediocre — I found my own glasses, and was ignored until I hunted down an employee with my credit card in hand.
The second trip was legendary for bad service. I had just broken my glasses, and needed a new pair desperately. I went after work, in desperate need of something to help me see. I was ignored, but I didn’t mind since I don’t want help picking glasses. I found the ones I wanted, and brought them to a bored looking sales person.
I gave them to her, and said I wanted them. She seemed a bit stumped, and took a few times of rewording to get across that I wanted to purchase that style of glasses. She commented on their attractive design, which I then mentioned that I had the same style, just in a different color. She asked what color, I told her, and she didn’t believe me. I explained that it was from about two years prior, and had thus presumably been discontinued. She still did not believe me. I didn’t see how it mattered, but when someone tells me they don’t believe what I say, its annoying.
So I pull out my broken pair, and show her. She grabs them (um, I didn’t give them to you) and exclaims on how nice they are. She really seems to like the color scheme, and says that she likes the colors over the new one I picked out. Thanks, seeing how I agree, hence why I had those glasses instead of the newer and less appealing colors. She then leaves to show her coworkers, who are also interested. I was in disbelief.
Now, it was about 8 pm, and the mall closes at 10 pm. There is a big sign for 1 hour service, which I hoped I could get. When asked when I wanted to pick them up, I asked if the 1 hour service would be possible. I was given a blank stare. She asked, «Like, in one hour?» No, I want one hour service in three hours.
She did say that it was possible in an hour, so I accepted that. I pay, and pass the time walking the mall. I come back exactly an hour later (I clocked it, left at 8:21, back at 9:21) and no one is to be found in the store. I wait a few minutes, and the sales person comes out, and sits down at a computer and does whatever she needs to do on it, completely ignoring me. I go up to her, and she asks, «Can I help you?»
Um. I walked around the mall, so I know it wasn’t busy. Not sure how she didn’t know who I was. In any case, I ask if my glasses have arrived back. She asks which glasses they were. So I tell her what style they were, and she needs my receipt since she can’t remember. Whatever, but really? She goes out back, comes back a few minutes later, and tells me they won’t be ready until the next day. I try to explain that I opted for one hour service — to which she counters that the guy who normally does that had to be somewhere that night and left early. Okay — stuff happens, but she also said that he left at about 6. How did she not know the service wasn’t available until the end of that night?
In any case, I leave to come back the next day. They are ready, and when they hand them to me after cleaning, they invite me to try them on. I do quickly, to check that they are the proper prescription, and when I take them off the sales person asks if I like them. I say that they are fine. She then probes more, asking if I really like them, or am just saying that. I am annoyed, so I say, «Well, I preferred my old pair, but they broke and aren’t sold anymore, but these are okay.»
So she then comes around, and brings me to a display with several styles, saying to try them on. I don’t see why, since I have my new pair, and I picked them out from the whole selection, so why would I want to go through that again the very next day? I tell her that I am all set, and she doesn’t seem to accept it — she grabs a pair that she thinks will look good, and hands them to me. I say no thank you, don’t take them, and start to leave.
I hear her mutter something under her breath as I leave, but I don’t care enough to stop.
Interestingly enough — my coworker had equally bad service, but thats not my story to tell.
