Excellent hidden gem on Wood Rd by the hotels. Amazing gym and only $ 5 day pass for hotel guests. Clean, well equipped. We’ll maintained. And more than you could want or need. The Healthy Blend Shakes by Brandon are a huge bonus!

Been going to this gym since day 1. Great weight selection and free weight area. Locker rooms could be a bit cleaner and bigger. Cardio area is decent. A lot of the treadmills do not work and are very noisy! Some of the trainers there do not seem friendly and often give dirty looks for no reason. Front desk is very friendly though!

Super affordable, extremely clean, brand new equipment, awesome instructors, high energy classes!
They offer so many group classes of all skill levels, several times of the day — every day of the week. The instructors are upbeat, positive, motivating, and most importantly FUN. The cross fit area is awesome and the instructors/​personal trainers are always around to help should you need it. The locker rooms are spacious, updated nicely and convenient. The gym itself may not be overly large but it has all of the right machines/​equipment are provided for a successful workout.
The kids area coordinators are beyond fantastic with the little ones. My 3.5 year old son loves coming to play with the other kids and the «teachers» He always looks forward to high fiving the front desk associates too, which are always friendly and welcoming.
Tanning is included with any VIP or above membership and boy do the beds work well! I used them before a cruise last year and was beyond dark!
The protein shake bar, Healthy Blend is delicious and nutritious!
I can’t say enough good things about this gym! Highly recommended!

I would definitely recommend this gym to others. All of the classes are great, if you are looking for good group classes I would try Spin with Ally or the full body workout on Wednesdays). The gym is huge and has a women’s only area. I have read a few reviews underneath saying that you can’t use the steps if you are not in personal training, but this has not been the case for me. I have not been criticized for taking anything out of that area.
On top of these features, the gym is very inexpensive and in a convenient location. Plus there is a great juice bar and free babysitting. If you’re thinking about joining, they let you go your first time free.

I workout a ton and I’m a member at the YMCA, run, lift weights, spin etc. I always wanted to try CrossFit but I heard a lot about potential injuries but my recent injury because of Fit Factory is a result of pure negligence on their part. I signed up for a beginners 6 class session and was on class 4. I was the only beginner so they had me join the class with the understanding that some of the moves were new to me so they helped me manage appropriately. Where the problem comes in is that the facility asks you to run out their garage door and down the hill of the service road behind their building. As you can imagine this was less than ideal for an evening class on a poorly lit road with potholes never mind that it was raining out. They need to find a safer running area for students or only ask students to run during the day light. I fell in a pothole that looked like a puddle and as a result I have a bad twisted ankle Also negligent is that they have no first aid kits and when they went to find me ice they had to go to juice bar as they didn’t have an ice pack or even an ace bandage on hand. This place is a health hazard!

Just joined last week for the one month vip membership $ 19 (I got a coupon in the mail)…I chose this place over Planet fitness and Super fitness (Both in Quincy and closer to my home) since they advertised that they have a steam room and a separate sauna room. Which is what tilted my decision to choose this place. However… the steam room is not working and the person at the front desk wasn’t even aware nor does it seem like there was any future to getting it fixed. I hope I am wrong because I was looking forward to it. I like this place, too… but I only use selective cardio equipment and never go during peak times. Place is clean. And I appreciate that but until they fix what they advertise to offer to their vip members… (but by then my month membership might be over and is questionable if I’d officially join)
Until then my review is dissatisfied to 3 stars.

So this review is based on my first visit to Fit Factory, which was on a Wednesday night around 8:00pm. Based on this initial trip, I’m liking this gym. Disclaimer, I’m not a crossfitter, and don’t have much interest in using crossfit equipment, so I’m all right not having access to it (not included in the $ 10/​month membership). We walked in and were checked in right away. I thought it was awesome that they didn’t sit us down for a half hour talk about all the features and membership packages or badger us about a fitness consultation or personal trainer plan. Instead, they gave us a 5 minute run-​down of the info we needed, then let us go explore the gym for ourselves. There’s plenty of cardio machines on the top floor, and at 8pm there were plenty open. My boyfriend and I went downstairs to the weight area because that’s what we’re interested in. After checking out other gyms in the Quincy/​Braintree area including Quincy Athletic Club, Anytime Fitness, and Planet Fitness, we were pretty happy to see FF’s weight area. All the equipment is new-​looking and in good condition. They have 6 bench press setups (3 incline/​3 straight), couple smith machines, couple power racks, and a decent set of free weights and cable machines. That covers most of the stuff we use. The negatives I found were no kettlebells out on the floor and the only pair of 12.5 dumbbells are in the women’s only area. If they’re okay with me taking those out and then returning them though, I have no issue with that. Overall, the gym has everything I need for a $ 10/​month membership. The $ 25/​month membership does sound good (includes classes/​spinning, women’s only area, guests anytime, etc) but I commute/​work during most of the time when they offer classes. Met my demands of having the weight equipment I want, having good quality equipment that’s not old/​smelly, and being in my budget.

I recently joined this gym. It is A-​OK. All of the equipment are still new. I like that all of the cardio machines that I’ve used are in good working conditions. The weight area is decent. It has all the equipment you’ll need. The only con is that sometimes during peak hours, it gets very packed and there are meat heads here lol. So just avoid those juiced out monkeys. I realized you get for what you pay. I’m paying 10 a month so I won’t complain :)

My feelings & reviews for this gym changes with every week since ive been a member here.
I am speaking solely for the free weight people!
Firstly i feel that it is unfair that we are not allowed to use the boxes (for things such as box squats, step ups etc) unless we are apart of their personal training. I dont like how unstable the benches are and they are simply not low enough. WHEN I SAW THAT NO ONE WAS AT THE PERSONAL TRAINING AREA & THEY WERE CLEARLY NOT IN USE, the personal trainers them-​self told me i could not use it. So no they are not «available and have had been for every member» the personal trainers told me they have to check out the step up boxes and that is for personal training only.
Secondly i would love to use the kettle balls for squats & more but again we are not allowed to use those unless we are in their group workouts. Am i suppose to walk in during a group training and just take it? Doesn’t make any sense they should be placed where i feel like i can use it anytime without having to wait.
I feel like these are common & general gym equipment that EVERYONE should be allowed to use.
The hip abduction/​adduction is in the «womens only» area so sorry for males if you want to use this machine. I am a women and i think that area is just plainly stupid. Is there a «mens only» area? I appreciate that they considered some privacy for us but no thank you that room is like a sauna, people are always fighting over that single fan in that room.
Yes this place is pretty and fancy looking but whats the point when its not functional? Again speaking only about their free weights section.
Oh and the smith machines are placed backwards (not facing towards mirrors) im pretty sure no one wants to squat facing other people, we need to be facing the mirrors to be looking at our forms «for multiple exercises» we need to be checking our form. It is actually harder to grab the weights that are so close to the mirrors. It would be easier to access the weights if they were away from the mirrors.
Squat racks are placed wayy too close to each other & the stair masters as well i would love the management here to try and use the stair master next to someone when they are dripping sweat and it hits you, i never use the stair master when there is someone using one of the two.
Does it really «restrict space» for other machines? Moving them at least one feet away from each other would make the biggest difference but according to the management here it would kill them to do so.
The only thing that remains positive about this gym is their smoothie bar & the fact that they are the few gyms in the south-​shore area with squat racks.
I dislike that this gym makes fun of planet fitness by saying «straight out of benches» but this place is «straight out of workout space»

This is the second of two gyms to which I have a membership. The other one is Boston Sports Club Woburn near where I work. I decided to join Fit Factory (instead of the BSC on Dorchester Ave) because of the convenient parking and relative close proximity to home.
When I first visited I was really impressed with the facility. I was initially looking for cross fit places and this was the closest. The cross fit facility is nice and new but the classes aren’t convenient to my schedule and so haven’t had an opportunity to check it out.
I decided to join as I wanted to have a gym with classes that I could join in the weekend. There are two morning spin classes (one on Saturday and one one Sunday). I have tried both and aren’t as good as the ones I have been used to back in Chicago. The spin room has about 30 cycles and the two classes I have been to maybe had 8 people at the most. There is no screen or video that accompanies the class. The room is pretty dark when the main lights are turned off for class. The only other class I’ve been to is the Total Body Burn, which was a really good intense workout.
I also lifted weights on the main floor. I came on a Sunday morning, and so the facility wasn’t too packed. I was able to get onto the machines or stations that I wanted without wait or having someone wait.
There isn’t much of a stretching area but one can use the group fit classroom when not in use. There is also a small women’s work out room (which does not help me) and I am not sure why even have one. There is one racquet ball court, one group fit classroom and a spin studio. I am not sure about the Unilocaler who said that most of the space is dedicated to these other non-​weights activity rooms. I consider the cross fit facility separate.
The locker rooms are decent. You have to bring your own towel and toiletries. I don’t get ready or shower at the gym so not a concern there. You have to bring your own lock.
Overall a decent gym near home. I feel it is on par with the one I go to near work.

Love this place! Took a body pump class with my friends and had such a blast! Huge parking lot, large clean spacious facility with plenty of classes. Tanning beds, juice bar, clean bathroom/​shower/​locker area. Great gym and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Don’t sign any paper work. You’re better off doing a general gym admission here… if even that. They have a 30 day cancellation policy that they enforce no matter what. Life could happen, you could get injured, your family could be going through a huge medical condition and they will not budge on that 30-​day cancellation. They are ALL talk. They say they care about their clients but they don’t nor do they care about their employees.
At this point they just try to meet their quote and you’ll pay for it so don’t do it. Go to Planet Fitness before you try this POS place! :)
***MY REPLY TO Tracey G. of Fit Factory: Have Brandon OR Matt read this they’ll know who I am and at one time I was a customer. You guys don’t need 30 day cancellation policy why do other gyms have 15 day cancellation policy’s?. This 30 day policy is just to get another billing cycle out of your customers, very dirty! As a customer it’s my duty to let others know my experience. Maybe you guys should treat your customers better and a review like this wouldn’t exist. Not for nothing you probably should tell Matt he shouldn’t be seen tanning at another salon… oh wait don’t tell me your beds are no good either. An owner who doesn’t stand by their own product… tisk, tisk, tisk

I’m updating my review. Yes this brand new place is only $ 10 a month but there’s a price to pay for that. MEAT HEADS that place their water bottle next to an empty incline bench. They use another machine and when you approach they’re like a brainless moron & they come running over… oh I’m using this bench… don’t you see my water bottle?
So I’ve downgraded this place from 5 Star to 3 Star as 10 $/​month «izzzzz» attracting the wrong clientele. I’ll pay $ 25/​month to workout with more educated polite people.
The owners have a great concept, juice bar owned by outside vendor
I personally love this gym. I just need to adjust my workout times so I don’t run into those jackass meat heads…
Everyone gets the business mentality of growing a foundation of clients but when you don’t try to protect your business it starts going downhill fast. This gym is quickly turning into one of those «farming» gyms like WOW or Planet Fitness.
Anyone wanting to join this gym, you will… like it but watch out for the muscled imbecile meat heads with only a high school education..
