Braintree Rifle & Pistol Club

I’ve belonged to 5 gun clubs in my lifetime now every club has its ups and downs and its a**hole factor. I’ve belonged here for about 5 years now and I’m very happy with this club with one exception like I said earlier their is an a**hole factor but it’s smaller then any other club I’ve belonged to. Most of the range officers are professional and emphasize safety I’ve run into two or three that thought they were DI’s on Parris island. I’ve also noticed a inconstancy with the rules some of them enforce for example one yelling at me get my brass from beyond the red line then a few weeks later one yelling at me not to. I also had an incident with a range officer when I asked when a closed range would be opened he then proceeded to get in my face and yell in it right in front of my guest. But on the upside I love I can smoke my cigars in both the club houses they have free coffee and you can watch cable tv also free wifi. The indoor ranges are 24 hour always really clean and most of the members are friendly and knowledgable it’s great for new gun owners. There is also a little pro– shop above the old clubhouse with a gunsmith during weekdays which no other gun club has ever had.

Have been a member here for over three years now and absolutely love it. It is a very safe range and the officers have no tolerance for those who break the rules and do things in an unsafe manner.
Love the fact that the indoor pistol ranges are open ²⁴⁄₇ since both me and my husband work overnight shifts. I’ve only used the outdoor rifle range once, but the range officer keeps a close eye and if there is not an officer on the range is not open. I’ve been meaning to use the plinking range since I got my .22 pistol, but have not found myself up there yet.
The people there are very friendly and helpful if you ever have any questions, concerns, problems. It is maintained by those who are members. It is nice and clean, great venting system. They also do breakfasts on Sunday mornings, except the mornings they do the meeting for people who want to be members.
Definitely recommend this range to anyone in the area that is looking for a safe, clean, and friendly range to belong to.

There are 2 indoor ranges for Pistols and .22 rimfire, Trap range, archery range, a wood block for tomahawks, 1 outdoor rifle range, 2 outdoor pistol lanes, and a plinking range for .22 and pellet guns.
My only complaint is that you cant shoot steel targets and anything besides .22/​bbs/​pellets in the plinking range but that’s due to ricochet and is a safety based rule.

What you REALLY want in a range. The emphasis is on safety and that is what you really really want. The range officers and rules are sufficiently strict and you don’t feel as if there will be someone in the stall next to you might accidentally hurt you or someone else (unlike some ranges who let anyone do anything with anything).
They have 2 indoor pistol ranges (I think they allow 22 rifles indoor too) which are constantly being cleaned and maintained. They have an outdoor rifle/​long gun range to shoot you slugs or AR 15’s as well as 2 outdoor handgun ranges and even a small bb range. They also have a trap shooting field and trap shooting twice a week so you can shoot some clays.
There is a 3-​D Archery Range and even a small post where you can practice throwing knives. What more would a gun-​toting ninja want?
Don’t know how to shoot or not a sharpshooter yet? there is a bulletin board with business cards of instructors ready to give you lessons.

First shooting range in a long long time. Came here with a friend who’s a member of this range.
This place is super neat, there is a pistol range, rifle range and an archery range. They also offer classes on just about anything. Members gets ²⁴⁄₇ access for $ 100 a year. It means you can pop in at midnight and practice without distraction or being self-​conscious. The club itself is organized and clean, I didn’t get to meet any of the members since we went in for a midnight target practice but from the bulletin and boards everyone in the community seems very friendly and encouraging.

Club appears to be well maintained and clean… for what it is, a gun club.
They try to put safety first, with a zero tolerance policy for safety violations,
and will dismiss any member accused of breaking their rules.

If you want to get familiar with shooting and learning more about guns and yourself this is a great place to start. This gun club is very friendly and is the home base for the Second Amendment Sisters (SAS) which is a women’s group that meets there on the third Saturday of the month. For some it can be intimidating to walk into a new environment — especially where guns are featured — but this is definitely the place to start. It is worth the drive from where ever you live.

I’ve been a member here for about ten years and I have enjoyed my membership for the most part. I sometimes like to go in the middle of the nights and run CQC drills. Good Times!
Cons
If you can put up with the rasict old people that hang out in the new range I guess its o.k. I sometimes clean my guns there and hear racist marks while they are sitting around smoking.

100 bucks a year is cheap cheap cheap for the facility and they are open ²⁴⁄₇ just in case you need to let of some steam at 3am.

One of the oldest gun clubs in MA. Try trap shooting on Sundays at noon sponsored by the club. Most guys will let you borrow their shotgun and a round of 25 clay will cost non-​members a messily 4 bucks. Easy to learn and fun to do. Guys and gals are welcome to try.
