Great place to hike with dogs off-​leash. Tons of trails.
In the summer you can go swimming near mini waterfalls with lots of other people (its super fun, not lame) if you know the right trails. People bring picnics and beers and kids and dogs and its a total blast, I have only been with Baltimore natives, but if you ask around someone is likely to know which trails I’m talking about. Very cool place so close to Baltimore City.

Odenton, MD
A nice park with a river, best for hiking and wading (No place here for a party). If you take the trails to walk downstream (left from the over pass, not under it) about 1.5 miles, there is an area with quite a few larger rocks and a bit of rapids (fun). The water is a bit deeper there as well. Bring your own trash bag or keep it in your car, I didn’t see any cans here.
