Nuovo Salon Group is the premier Aveda Lifestyle salon and spa group in Sarasota, Florida. Hair services include precision haircuts, hair color, highlights, hair & scalp treatments, retexturing, hair extensions, high-​fashion styling and color effects. Our makeup services include professional makeup application and lessons, and special-​event and bridal hair and makeup. Nail services include manicures and pedicures. Skin services include facials for all skin types and conditions.

Located near the upscale University Town Center, steps away from Saks Fifth Avenue and other luxury shopping destinations, our Cooper Creek salon boasts a stunning interior artfully designed to impart a sense of harmony and well-​being.

As Sarasota’s first Aveda salon, we exclusively use the Aveda line of products and treatments and adhere to Aveda’s mission of caring for the earth and everyone in it. We are affiliated with Intercoiffure, an international association of beauty professionals, which maintains the highest standards of service, education and professionalism in the industry.

The Nuovo atmosphere is not only elegant, but holistic with a focus on total wellness and eco-​friendly practices. Our guests only come into contact with purified water, and our team follows strict policies of reuse and recycling at every level.

Nuovo Salons are advocates for the community and are actively involved in fundraising events for Earth Month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month and other worthwhile causes.

History

Established in 1986.

Nuovo Salon Group began as the Sarasota region’s only Aveda salon, the first locally to merge high fashion with relaxing rituals and superior natural products and techniques. We were the first to embrace the notion that salon appointments can do so much more than enhance a person’s outer beauty — they can actually make their day. And we’ve been striving to do that ever since.

Four salons later, our vision has never waned — indeed, it’s evolved. Our mission now is to constantly elevate our standards and advance the systems that support them. That’s because it’s not enough anymore to just make your day. We want to figure out new and improved ways to do it.

We are a proud member of Intercoiffure, an international consortium of top-​end salons that adhere to the highest standards of professionalism, education and vision.

Terry McKee is an expert stylist and co-​owner of Nuovo Salon Group. A visionary business leader, Terry also serves as the fashion editor for Sarasota’s Style Magazine and is one of the leading fashion authorities in the region.
