4 of us ate here on a Sunday, the place was very busy. We are all foodies. Our soups the potato & the broccoli was very salty & cold. One ordered the BBQ spud, it was nothing special. The potato could have been seasoned with olive oil or anything. The Santa Cruz wrap was also a fail. The sundried tomato sauce was sweet with not much flavor, the wrap was tough and chewy.
The crackers were fresh, the pickle was good and the chips.

When I started my freshman year at WKU, I was told to try Griff’s Deli. I am now a senior and have been to Griff’s more times than I have been to class (sorry Mom).
I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. It is more than just a normal sandwich lunch spot. Griff’s offers a variety of items with combinations of unique ingredients to make their flavors something really special.
My personal favorite is the pick 2 with the chipotle chicken spud and chicken salad melt that keeps me full and satisfied for the duration of the day. All of their items offer hearty portions. I mean where else can you order a spud and the waitress brings you out two full to bursting potatoes with sour cream, butter, and pickle to top it off?!
I would suggest that if your meal comes with a side to opt out of the bagged chips and instead choose one of their delicious homemade sides. You can’t go wrong with their potato, broccoli, or pasta salad.
Griff’s is a local favorite so sometimes the line can be quite long but it is worth the wait and might take you that long to decide upon one of their delicious choices anyway.
My only complaint is that they no longer serve their to-​die-​for peanut butter pie. That is probably a good thing, though, considering I ate it so much it became a contributing factor to my freshman 15.

Nice people, good food in a fairly impersonal shopping mall. We were on the highway, read about this on Unilocal and drove through the wretched malls to get here. It was worth it, sampled an excellent and unique soup and a terrific sandwich (grilled hear with avocado and bacon, very tasty). Definitely worth getting off I65 and by passing chain food for this.

I was here for dinner a couple days ago visiting a friend and really enjoyed my experience! I ordered the pick two combo and got the Susie Q and baked potato with pulled pork and cheese on it. The Susie Q sandwich was good, not great, but the baked potato was exceptional.

Griffs is a very good local restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the facility to clean. The food isn’t amazing but it is great food for a deli. They also get highly involved in local charities which is always a plus. If you like supporting local charities then a visit to Griffs is well worth it.

The chicken salad sandwich is awesome. The desserts are also pretty good. I wish there were more homemade side items though — I can get ruffles potato chips anywhere, why would I want them at a restaurant? Would also like to see a better drink selection. Griff’s has potential to become a really awesome restaurant since the food is so good but it doesn’t seem like they’re making the effort.

Great little deli with awesome sandwiches and salads. We were surprised with the size of the salad in the pick two– more than enough.

Not sure if I will visit this place again. Seems like a giant germ fest.

Not thrilled with this place. Ordered a spud, which was barely room temperature. Asked for butter when I saw the «buttery spread» and was told that was all they had. Can’t imagine a place that specializes in baked potatoes not serving them hot and not having butter.

I was in Bowling Green for work and it was getting on to be 12 pm so I checked my trusty four square for a lunch spot. Griffs came up and I thought I should try it.
Ambiance: first thing I noticed was the great ambiance. Light pop music, just the right lighting, and colors do well in this place.
Menu: seems a little daunting but after about 20 seconds I decided on a Turkey club which comes with chips and a pickle spear. Also I opted for a soup because it was freezing outside (32 degrees F).
Staff: pretty standard «get em in and out the door» attitude. Not rude, but efficient. As a first timer I was not rushed when ordering.
Food: the turkey sandwich was good tasting, the turkey was of higher quality-​deli quality. The bread was kind of falling apart and the sandwich basically fell apart. Aside from that (because I’m a man and I eat sandwiches with my hands) it didn’t bother me too much. The soup: ok I asked the girl what the soup of the day was and she said ‘tomato’ I’m thinking, great. I’ll sit here and shake off this cold weather with a nice hot soup. Well the bowl of liquid they brought looked like brown tomato soup that someone dumped a jar of Worcester sauce in it. And upon tasting it, it sure seemed as if someone did add as much Worcester sauce to it. No really it tasted like a slight hint of tomato soup with a really heaping shit-​ton of black pepper in it. I almost gagged. I could not put it in my mouth after several spoonfuls (trying to improve the taste with the crackers provided) no. I was expecting a warm inviting tomato soup and instead got a mouthful of whatever it was they put in this bowl. For a few fleeting seconds I regretted coming in here. Wishing I had instead gone to Panera. (Wait, do they have a Panera in Bowling Green? Hmm)
Anyway, that soup killed it for me. The sandwich was ok and I did consume it all. The soup was just awful. They should at least warn someone that they have a loose definition of ‘tomato soup’ when their chefs take their own idiotic spin on traditional soup. An American standard for cold days. I am still disappointed.
Forgot to add: they took a full 10 – 15 minutes to get me my food.

Good deli. My chicken salad sandwich looked a little sad, but it had a great flavor. It was busy the day I came (good sign).

Both times have been just okay. The service is kind of slow (about a 10 – 15 minute wait for food, even when there are only a few others in the restaurant). I’ve gotten a Roma grilled cheese which was good but burnt. The chips are straight up Ruffles, so nothing exciting there. The fruit cup was fine (if someone can mess up fruit I’d be surprised). I wasn’t a fan of the house salad — too much cheese.
I appreciate the decent amount of vegetarian options, even though they’re mostly just the same vegetables in different forms (wraps, paninis, etc.).
It’s an a-​okay place for lunch or dinner. Nothing phenomenal.

I work near Griggs so I often end up there for lunch. I love that grills has several choices. You can either choice a heathly choice such as a salad Or baked loaded steak potato. My favorites are the southern salad and The buffalo chicken spinach wrap. I posted a picture of the buffalo chicken wrap. They have diffrent soups of the day but I never know what day they will have what so that’s one reason I gave them a four star rating.

Meh — it’s fine. I had two sandwiches, two potatoes, two salads, and various sides while filling lunch hours over the course of a week and half while taking a class where everyone was enamored of this place.
Even though I’m regularly in that area, can’t say that I’m moved to go back.
They’re busy and handle it well — for made to order, it’s not slow, even at peak times. And their portions are unholy large; frankly, they’re «this is why people who’re starving hate us» large. All drenched in whatever sauce was on whatever one ordered. For realzies. There’s just nothing that merits this kind of wastage, since none of it tastes good reheated or day-​old.
The larger problem is, quantities aside, though their food sounds really yummy, it’s just not that great. There doesn’t seem to be any seasoning. There doesn’t seem to be any focus on quality over quantity. It’s all just blah. Or blah with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. (I really don’t know how adding cheese, bacon, and sour cream still results in «blah» — but taste it, and you’ll know.) Every meal I ate here left me feeling overful and yet unsatistied, despite eating (far) less than half of a single order of food, wasting the rest.
Seriously, there are the makings of a great place here, but the current situation is unsustainable. Please, please, please — y’all have the kernel of greatness, but the product is, at this point, not good.

Tried the Bomber challenge 3 times… 6 lbs of potatoes in 45 min. Got pretty close that last one. Oh well, every attempt was a victory because its Griffs! And I had lunch for the next few days.

Gross, my stomach hurts now from eating at Griff’s. The food tasted processed, my companion’s rueben had wet meat on it. The veggie panini I ordered was gloppy from too much cheese and a chemical-​tasting sauce. The potato salad, if you can call it that, contained shredded cheese and bacon – if someone orders a vegetarian sandwich, you should probably mention that the potato salad has bacon in it – especially because it’s not stated anywhere on the menu. This place reminds me of a gross version of McAlister’s. People seem to be claiming that it’s not a chain, but the food sure tastes like gross chain food.

The basic ingedients here are fresh and well proportioned … but they drench everything in sauce. Next time I’ll try the Wise Guy sandwich with no vinaigrette and maybe I’ll love it instead of like it. To me it was better than a Panera panini. Ditto with the salads (I had the Caesar and my husband had the House). But they definitely don’t skimp on the portions. For the combo, the half salads were huge. The half panini was standard-​sized, but we were there for dinner so that’s OK. I also tried the Italian cake, which was light and not too sweet and included nuts and raisins. Wish they served decaf coffee as well as caffeinated. Overall, my husband liked the place but wasn’t crazy about it. I’m interested in trying it again: particularly the Roma cheese sandwich with tomatoes and basil. For two adults for dinner we spent about $ 20.

As a business traveler I always ask my customers, «Where do you eat?» I try to avoid chains whenever possible. A customer pointed me to Griff’s and what a great choice! That chicken salad? Crazy good!!! Whenever I drive 65 now and get near BG, I think «do I have time to drive all the way down that street for chicken salad?»
Lunch time is so busy and the clientele might want to embrace the custom of sitting wherever there is a seat! I had 2 empty chairs at my table and people were standing all around me. I finally told 2 ladies, «I won’t bite you… sit down!» I kept working on my laptop and they had their lunch conversation and nobody died.

This local favorite is AMAZING! With tons of menu options that are all very diverse, it’s hard to go wrong. The portions are pretty reasonable, and the price isn’t too expensive. The wide range of food (sandwiches, wraps, soups, spuds, etc.) ensures happiness of all who go! Plus, they have a deal where kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal.
I have two staples when I go. The one I ALWAYS pick is the Summer Salad. Very fresh and light, and portioned large enough that you don’t leave hungry (I often take some home and make a separate meal out of it). My second is the Combo deal. Last time I chose Potato soup with half of a turkey wrap, but have been known to substitute the soup for a BBQ spud. Delicious!
Keep in mind, they don’t heat their wraps, they will if you ask them to, but they’re still good cold. Also, the wait can sometimes be a little extensive, but definitely worth it!
Watch for coupons in local fliers — they are definitely worth taking, often giving you a free drink or half off your order!

Griff’s is a sandwich shop in a location that makes it an ideal lunch stop for many people in Bowling Green. You can even submit your order online, which makes Griff’s a convenient option for ordering lunch on a busy workday.
I ate here today for the first time and just ordered a big bowl of their Cajun Chicken Soup because the girl behind the counter suggested it. Oh my goodness – good call! The soup was amazing and really hit the spot on a freezing, snowy evening. I should have gone back to thank the girl who suggested the soup!
Griff’s menu includes all of the typical sandwich shop choices – a variety of salads, paninis, wraps, sandwiches, spuds, and, of course, soups.
My girlfriend loves food almost as much as I do, and she absolutely loves the summer salad. So if you’re in the mood for an amazing salad – check it out.
