Gigi’s Cupcakes of Bowling Green

It was really yummy… but the cashier seemed like she was annoyed with being there and it had a very selection left to choose from.

I love Gigi’s, I’ve been a loyal customer that both my boyfriend and I have rewards plans for. We’ve never had an issue with workers before, but whoever was working 4÷27÷15 in Bowling Green was a very poor worker. I literally wanted to contact their manager I was disappointed. The worker clearly let us know she didn’t want to be there, was distracted by the other customers, that I later deduced was what I can only assume her family member. Acted as if it was a huge issue we wanted to give her our phone number for rewards points. When we mentioned we had a free cupcake for rewards she acted as if we were pulling teeth and we realized that it was on my boyfriends rewards number. However, I didn’t dare ask she enter that number in and waste any more of her precious time. I payed four bucks for a cupcake, which normally I don’t mind… But when I get this kind of service, I wish I had put it back. This was a treat after a hard day. I don’t care what you are going through. When you are at work leave it at the door and don’t make me feel like I am wasting your tim for having you do your job. She didn’t even have nice work attire on, she had a tshirt for some band or wrestling on, which only made me feel even more like she didn’t want to be there.

I know that it is probably a little silly to pay more than three dollars for a simple cupcake but theres a lot you need to stop and think about before considering that. You could easily go to Krogers or somewhere as such and get it cheaper but was it made that day. How long have they been on the shelf. On more than one occasion I’ve been there and couldn’t get what I wanted because they sold out. Now a common sense place that orders their food would and could run out of a few items but not almost everything. The reason being is because they only make so many a day. I would rather pay for freshness than something old. I think that they could get a little more creative considering but still a great place. You want a good sweet go there.

I have to disagree with the other reviews on here. I do know, it is untrue the cupcakes are shipped. They are made fresh, in store, daily. With any Gigi’s cupcake you are going to pay around $ 3 a cupcake. As long as you accept that I think they’re delicious. They could tone down the icing a bit. But scrape a little off and you’re good to go. I had to rate them ⁴⁄₅ just because I think this business deserves a better overall average rating.

I agree with Amy S. Totally overhyped store chain and I heard the store associate say that they truck them in and they aren’t made there. If you are looking for a good cupcake try Barnes and Noble, (yes the book store), Buckhead café, or Sweet Temptations.

Beautiful presentation but inferior quality. The cake tastes like it’s out of a box and the icing is simply bad. There’s so much icing you get sick trying to eat even half of it, for one thing. For another, it takes like processed junk. Frankly I’ve never had such bad icing. The stuff you buy out of the grocery store is better. The cupcakes I make at home from scratch are way better than these, though I can’t make them as pretty. No way would I pay over $ 3 per one of these things ever again. In fact, the idea of ever eating one again makes me feel nauseated. Yuck.
But my husband thought they were «OK» so I’m giving them a 2 for that and the presentation. They have these charming boxes that keep the cupcakes from falling over. Kinda nifty.
