History

Established in 1952.

Barbara Stewart began this business out of necessity. Barbara, a widow and mother of 2, began a custom frame shop and was a gifted portrait artist. The business evolved over the years and eventually out grew her home. In 1978, Barbara moved her shop into it’s current location. After many years of diligent work, the business has expanded and now operates Invitations on Main, also a downtown business.

Born and raised in Bowling Green, graduate of Western Kentucky University with an Interior Design degree. Worked in commercial design in Charlotte, NC & Lexington, KY as a design director for an office furniture dealer. Rejoined family business in 1994 as a co-​owner, expanded business to include bridal registry, stationery, invitations & increased furniture, area rugs offerings to become a lifestyle store.
