Constantly Running

Simply put, James is awesome. He did a fantastic job and I really appreciate him making time to help re-​plumb the attic. Price is competitive, quality is top notch, and the guy is a true professional which is harder and harder to find.

Our main line clogged overnight backing up water into the house. I contacted constantly running and James arrived within two hrs ahead of the time he scheduled. He was very understanding and professional. Straight to work and got our clog cleared out. Would highly recommend them!

James was responsive and professional when our water heater went up in the middle of winter. He came out quickly and we had hot water again within a couple of days. When the heater experienced trouble a year later, he came back out promptly a couple of times to fix the problem. The only reason it’s 4 and not 5 stars is he did scratch a closet door installing the new heater (not major, but noticeable).

James was out of town with his family on vacation when I tried to contact him Sunday afternoon. When I finally got through to him I was in a serious panic as my basement had a valve that was leaking water and I was bailing out the water with a 5 gallon bucket! James calmly explained what I had to do over the phone (after apologizing for being on vacation). I am a little handy and WE got it FIXED!!!
Never in my life have I had a professional help me over the phone. He never asked my name or anything, he just jumped in and «bailed» me out!

I called Constantly Running after having some trouble with my washing machine. They arrived in less than an hour and fixed the problem fast and within the estimate. They were incredibly courteous and exactly what I was hoping for in a plumber.

James is great, he has done a few small jobs around our house (I do most of it myself, but I know my limits)
James is honest, price-​accurate, and wont try to ‘bait and switch’ services. He will suggest additional services, but is not pushy if you say no … he even suggest our dishwasher line be routed differently (I did the install myself in summer 2013) and I agreed. To my surprise, he rerouted it for free (took him around 5 mins to do)
I think many places would have charged for the reroute for a small part or some type of labor, but not James.

Issue: there was a crack in the washing machine cold water supply pipe.
Customer service :
–James gave me an estimate over the phone; most plumbers hesitate to do that.
–It took them less than 35 minutes to get to my house to fix the problem.
–the issue was fixed and the water was back on in a half hour!
–very personable and they explained what caused it and how to avoid it in the future.
Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome and I would highly recommend them. They are my go to’s in the future!

I find it funny that another reviewer complained about a plumber that actually tried to point out a simple fix as opposed to just fixing it and charging more. I called Constantly Running Plumbing to fix some work that had been done incorrectly by another plumber. He came out and gave me a reasonable quote, so I gave him the green light to do the work. Upon starting the job, he realized that he could use some of the same hardware, so he came down on his price and charged me quite a bit less than I’d agreed to pay. What’s more, he showed me in detail what needed to be done if I had any problems in the future. He even suggested I undertake a small job I asked him about myself, and told me I could call if I had any questions.
Constantly Running Plumbing is the type of company you look for: a straight shooter that isn’t out to upsell you or make an extra buck by pulling a fast one. I know who I’ll call in the future!

Jim arrived promptly upon my request for emergency repair on a Sunday. He was able to quickly repair the busted hot water pipe and let me know exactly what to expect in the future. He explained a problem to me that I have with the plumbing in my townhouse. I know first hand he was just being honest with me and not trying to sell me on more work because it is a problem of which I have foreknowledge. If I do need further work in the future, Constantly Running will be the first plumber I call.

The work that was performed was well done and the price was not terrible, but when asked by my wife to fix 2 toilets that kept running (I hate plumbing) he was very reluctant. He fixed one and told her that it was easy and she could fix the other one. Not great customer service.
