Hoyt’s Automotive

Let me introduce all that read this to a guy who is far superior, far more honest, and far more reasonably priced than most car repair places that I have yet to witness in my car driving life.
His name is Jeff Hoyt and he runs his little car repair shop next to his modest home. Unlike some high end shops with state of the art everything, he uses what works well for him as old and greasy as the tools may look. He has grease under his fingernails. I just don’t trust a guy that doesn’t look like he has been elbows deep in my car. He also isn’t out to make millions. I doubt you will find him stacking up the coins and rubbing his hands together exclaiming: «money, money, money!» This guy just loves what he does and as far as I can tell just wants to help people and support himself and chubby calico cat.
In all my experiences with him statements like «you don’t need that done», «don’t worry about paying me for doing a (quick) diagnoses», and «let me show you what is wrong» have always been part of the conversation. As a woman I have always felt like I have been targeted when it comes to car repair so being shown the problem and being told that there is no need for a $ 300.00 new part is very reassuring.
He may be a little flighty on who you are when you show up though. I assure you he has you in the schedule and plans on working on your car, he’s just not good with names and faces. There is no real waiting area so you have to get creative like me. I have put a blanket out back to hang out on, biked to work, or gone for a walk. You could also be less stubborn than myself and have someone pick you up.
