FosterBuilt Headquarters is the brainchild of Mark Foster, a NY creative who has set up a dreamy workshop in a barn he’s done up in Bovina. All along the walls are hanging bikes that he’s fashioned himself, vintage imaginations put together like postmodern expressions of the past. You’ll see a vintage cruiser with a new micro drive chainring that makes it a hell of a climber, and odd weldings that produce fun shapes and unique expressions of bicycle. All for sale. Foster is also a woodworker and has started to roast his own brew as well, all inside the shop. He’s a salt-of-the-earth kind of fellow and I would certainly ask him for a rid on his Fat Tire monster bike, sort of a rolling tank powered by… you! When you’re having your cup of joe, you’ll see that you can talk about pretty much anything with Mark. Bovina is already a special place and FosterBuilt makes it more so.
