Description

Specialties

The optometry practice of Dunlap Vision has been in existence for well over 50 years. Exceptional care and word-of-mouth referrals have created the best independent practice in the Kankakee River Valley.

Ours is a complete primary eye care practice with two doctors and seven optometric technicians. We treat not only the visual needs for eyeglasses and contact lenses, but also treat eye diseases and ocular emergencies, including foreign body removal.

After many years in practice, our office adheres to the same philosophy and goals. While accepting new patients, and serving our established ones, we look ahead to the future by continually expanding our optometric education and diagnostic skills, investing in new technology, offering a huge inventory of modern frames and contact lenses, and utilizing a friendly, competent and dedicated staff to serve our communities and their visual needs.

History

Established in 1940.

Dr. Brent Dunlap purchased the practice from Dr. Joe Long in 2004. Dr. Long had owned the business since 1977. He worked with previous owner Dr. Russell Rogers, who also bought the practice from an earlier owner. Our exact date of establishment is unknown but probably sometime in the 1940’s.
