Sheer Indulgence

Big shout out to Sheer Indulgence for being the BEST salon in Bountiful! I look so forward to my hair appointment!
Katie is my stylist and I absolutely love my hair!!! She does such a great job! And all the employees seem to really enjoy working together! Love the commaradarie! I highly recommend this salon!!!

Not a fan. I got my hair cut here because it’s where I’ve gone for the past 3 years and I just didn’t trust anyone else with my hair. But after today I’ve had it. I’ve put up with all the negatives because I didn’t know any better. After visiting one of my friends who is a hairdresser at another salon I saw how other places are cheaper than sheer indulgence and more friendly. I regret not having my friend cut my hair.
Anyway, I’m not going back to Sheer Indulgence because…
*The hairdresser burned my head (multiple times during different appointments) with the dryer because she wasn’t attention.
*Hairdresser cut it too short after I repeatedly told her I didn’t want it that short.
*Another time I wanted to donate
17″ of hair and she cut off 15″. I’m upset because I waited so long so that I could donate a long wig. This isn’t something that was just for me but for whoever would have received the wig. The hairdresser ruined it with one cut.
*Hairdresser’s attitude is so cocky and fake.
*I took in a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and the hairdresser just tells me it won’t look good and starts doing what she wanted.
*The hairdressers gossip like no other! This is so unprofessional and rude. You never know when your client is friends with the person you’re talking about.
I give them two stars because the place is clean, as in sanitary.
My conclusion is the people who work here are incompetent. Their prices are definitely not worth it. I will admit it is my fault for giving them so many chances, but at least now I know better. Next time I might just go to Great Clips because I feel they will actually listen to what I want.

I don’t know how to respond to your comment below so I am just «updating» the review.
I did not reply to the Square because it seemed like an automatic message. I have never commented back on Square before so I didn’t know what to expect or who exactly was replying. There wasn’t anything that led me to believe it was the person who cut my hair.
In addition, even if I talked to you about these issues, and they were fixed, I doubt I would return simply because it costs too much. $ 35 for a trim or cut doesn’t seem reasonable to me. The last time I went to get my haircut was in December. Back then the cost was $ 30. It has been some time since I have gotten my haircut again (mainly because I was waiting to donate), but I was unaware of the change in price for this most recent cut.

I am super duper frustrated with how I could went today. I went in asking for a haircut and I got a haircut and style. I’m not happy with the fact that she styled it throughout the whole haircut so she’s finished off DRY. If she’s going to do that that’s her issue I did not ask for that is not want that I am not wanting to charge for that I’m interested in a cut 20 bucks, something that’s reasonably priced. I’m not wanting an expensive cut with a pretty little style halfway through the cut. She asked me can we do it a little shorter in the front so we can do straight across and I told her you can do it shorter to cut a little shorter and by the time we were done after that I had an A-​line. I hate a lines. I emphasized it she did not listen or hear. I’m thinking she didn’t know what to do or how to really make it look good. You need to communicate with me in the first place and know that I do not like a line. She smoothed it over by saying one it grows we can cut it shorter next time. There will be no next time. The clue of her using thinning sheers instead of a razor should have sent red flags. I love razoring and hate thinning sheers. I did what I could to communicate well but her skill level and communication weren’t there. Maybe I will have to call up some it works reps for hair skin and nails. Greer. Will I go back? Maybe. Just not her.

I absolutely love this place! I’m a total glam girl so I can assure you I’ve been to my fair share of salons and even with Sheer Indulgence being a good 30 minutes from my home it will remain my regular. I haven’t experienced many of the stylists there but Ashley Rosky takes the cake! I’ve been seeing her for a good year now for coloring, cuts and extensions and she has far exceeded my expectations in all aspects. Salon itself is very upscale, clean. A lot of really respectable women working there. I don’t think I’ll be going anywhere else.

Place is very clean and sells great hair products. Workers are great here.
