Performance Honda

When it was Willey Honda, I was a loyal customer. Now that it’s Performance Honda, you couldn’t pay me to go back there. The service department is terrible! Two an a half hours for a wheel balance that should’ve been done the weekend before, when the rotors were replaced to fix the vibration, which didn’t work. I’ve now been given new reasons as to why I’m getting the vibrations. What a wasted morning! There’s a new problem every time I go in. My car is not the problem. The service department is. I will NEVER go back there again! If I could give zero stars, I would. They don’t deserve any! Stay away if you value your time and money!

I had a great experience with Performance Honda. For a few months I had been researching and planning what vehicle I wanted and ended up using
which reached out to all the local Honda dealers (Ken Garff, LHM, Performance…) to find the model I wanted exactly at the best price.
Of course all the dealers contacted me that day (I wasn’t sure if one was a human because of the fluctuations in their sales pitch were too perfect and robotic) but the first and friendliest was Jenn at Performance Honda. I had a good conversation with her, told her exactly what I wanted and she said she had that vehicle and one that I might be more excited about that she wanted to show me.
I took my family and they were great at having an area for my kids to play while my wife and I could talk. We discussed the numbers to make sure we were at the right price for the Odyssey we wanted. Jenn took us out to the vehicle we wanted with one difference, it had the Rear Entertainment System upgrade that we decided we didn’t need, but she was able to get that model at the price we wanted. It was a big bonus for us since we used the DVD player in our last vehicle and price was the primary deterrent for the upgrade.
Everything wasn’t perfect with our experience. There was a mistake on our paperwork and we returned to the dealership twice to correct it but missed the right person. Performance washed the vehicle and filled up the gas take for our trouble. Then then sent someone out to our house to sign it so we didn’t have to go back.
There were a couple other small items like the above but at each point I felt like they did everything they could to correct it. I see the other reviews here on Unilocal,I know other have had trouble, but I purchased in late August 2015 and it seems like they’re making great efforts to provide better customer experience. The few times I’ve been back to the dealership many of the staff remember me and remember that Jenn sold me the vehicle and they track her down as I’m walking in.
The other employee that made a notable positive experience for us was Eli the floor manager. He was so helpful and when he worked with Jenn we felt there were two employees peeling for us to make sure we left with the vehicle we wanted at a fair price.

When Performance Honda was Willy Honda, I was a life-​long customer. The sales people were great, and the service department was no nonsense.
Since the change of ownership, I have never had a good experience. The service department charged me for warranty work. It took 3 months and lots and lots of phone calls to get reimbursed once I figured it out no thanks to them. The next time I went in for an oil change, they tried to charge me for warranty service AGAIN. Additionally, they told me I needed additional work that I did not need, AND made me wait for 4 HOURS for my car after telling me the service would take 45 minutes.
I can’t stress how terrible this place has become. STAY AWAY!

Bought my Honda back when it was Willy Honda and had a wonderful buying experience. They have, however, changed ownership since then and the service department is a joke.
Went in for an oil change and they used scare tactics on me to get me to spend $ 800 on «crucial» repairs. Got estimates from Alta auto repair in Bountiful for $ 500, and he assured me I was driving a safe vehicle and none of the repairs were urgent.
Won’t be going back for mechanical services or purchases of a new vehicle when the time comes.

I can’t plead enough to whoever reads this to stay away. I’ve heard about horrible used car salespeople before, ones that don’t care a bit about the customer, that lie and cover up problems instead of fixing them, that force people to buy cars that they don’t want, but i know now they exist. And now i can put a face to it, and a name… it is Angelia. You cant miss her if you go there. She is the one with horns sticking through her short blond hair. She will lie to you and push any sale she can. She told me i could take the car to my mechanic to have him see what needs to be fixed if i would qualify with the bank to see if i could even get financed. When i got back, she said she wouldn’t fix anything and that i already agreed to buy the car. I’ve never seen a faster 180 before in my life. One more thing. They also tried to push an interest rate on me that was twice as high as the bank pre approved me at. I argued with them over that too and after 15 minutes, they said they accidentally pulled someone elses credit that had a bankruptcy instead of my credit. I would bet everything i have that the «mistake» was completely intentional. I eventually found a much better vehicle somewhere else and at a better price too, and when i compared the bill of sales, i noticed performance added extra fees that were completely unnecessary. Don’t waste your time there.

The people in the used car department are dishonest. I didn’t think that companies used such practices in this day and age. Stay away from these guys, they are no good. They advertise cars they don’t have just to get you to come in. I made and appointment to see a car they had advertised and they could never «find» it. They won’t returns calls. Pathetic business practices.
