My favorite spot. The live music has such electric variety. Any time of day it’s a lovely place to sit and people watch and relax and groove. Even the clientele seems to be a good group. Becky is one of their baristas and she is always a joy to see when we stop in. So friendly and genuine. The chocolate gluten free cupcakes are the best(we tried every kind to be sure) and I love just sharing a pot of their loose leaf tea. Highly recommend it be checked out.

The coffee is high quality, but if you have a certain amount of melanin the service is horrible. Mainly from the guy that wears the mason ring at 55th and Valmont. He is definitely a closet racist that tries his best to give those like him great service and those that are not like him shitty service — and makes it obvious without saying how he actually feels. I wish I had his name because I am about to call him out on all these social review sites once I do. But dam the coffee is good, and makes me avoid his cowardice and move on.

Stopped here once to do some work. Nice ambiance. Spacious indoor area. Quaint outdoor area for smokers. Decent wifi. Enjoyed their coffee and pastries.

This is easily one of my most visited shops in Boulder. The atmosphere is an idiosyncratic piece of the place, and one that you won’t find elsewhere. The coffee is great, the staff is helpful and sans-attitude, and there isn’t a better place to catch nightly live music on Pearl in my opinion. The outside patio, which is surely some of the most sought after seats in the house, is one the nicest places to sit on Pearl, and if I get the opportunity to snag one of these seats, I take full advantage. The back of the house also has some prime seating, plenty of outlets for your computer, and lots of opportunity to bring some of the tables together if you’re meeting with people. Seemingly, the staff chooses the playlist of the house every day — and I’ve never been disappointed. I even found myself Shazamin’ some songs a few days ago… The point is the music is always nice. On the walls, they have rotating exhibitions of local artists — always good. At 7 pm, they clear the stage at the back of the house of tables and prepare for the nightly live music, which is a harbor for local musicians, from many genres — and even a host for poetry reading on(I believe) a weekly basis. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are Jazz nights, and some of my favorite acts in town have a monthly residency here. Overall, whether you’re looking for a coffee shop to hang out with friends, get some work done, listen to awesome music, or just plain read a book, I highly suggest the Goat.

Free wi-fi with no password, solid tea options, live music, friendly staff, ample sitting space, though most tables are too small for two laptops and you can’t use a large one if you’re not a group of 4. Can’t ask for too much else, can I?

Was walking down the street waiting for my table at Snooze, saw this place and decided to come in. I ordered the café florentine which is a coffee with milk chocolate mix. It tasted like a mild watered down chocolate milk drink. Zucchini currant bread and their chai latte was really good though! Good background music choices too!

In Bouldet for training and needed a good strong dose of caffeine in the morning. The laughing goat is located in a green car dealership. The coffee and espresso based drinks are very good. If you Scaled Agile, this is the place to go. for a morning coffee. Overall four stars,

I ordered a wet cappuccino and got almost a ½″ of foam on the top. I drank maybe a 1⁄3 of the drink before I called it quits. The espresso was slightly bitter, but not bad. That’s just the coffee snob coming out. None of the baristas have there hair tied back which I think all food service should have. I know it’s a health code law, but maybe not for coffee shops? The staff was polite and the atmosphere is awesome. Over all its a great place to sit and chill, but I think if you’re going to be a coffee shop your coffee should be on point. The espresso just seems lack luster here.

Lower cost, but better quality! Much better flavour for a cup of coffee! If you want a cool and hip café vibe, then go here. They sell plenty of pastries and sweets along with morsels to nibble on. There are good breakfast treats(including oatmeal and OJ). Or grab an iced or hot tea! I’d go here to work, read or just hang out any day!

Just landed in Boulder from NYC and made a B line to the Goat. I had coffee at the Goat every day for years when I lived in town and the quality of the coffee and staff are better than ever! If the Goat isn’t worthy of 5 stars, I don’t know who is. Johnny and crew… congratulations on your 10 year anniversary!

Health hazard!!! OK, fact is, this is a great coffee shop. Awesome vibe, quality food etc. My only complaint is that if you happen to stay for more than 30 minutes, you will leave smelling like you cooked/burned and entire loaf of grilled cheese sandwiches in your small bedroom with the door closed and no ventilation. I am worried for the people who work here that they will have permanent lung damage from greasy smoke. When I come home from an afternoon working there, my wife usually will ask if something is burning downstairs in our kitchen. I’ll smile and say, «nope, I’ve just been at the laughing goat again.» Really great place. Bit of a health risk in my opinion.

Very nice atmosphere, the kind of coffee shop any coffee lover would expect, warm and cozy. Sweet pastries made of zucchini and chocolate caught my attention to accompany a solid cappuccino made with coffee beans that seem to follow a different roasting process. I can tell the favor is rich and pure. Loved it. Not too noisy, yet busy. Interesting altar for the Sainte Caffeine maybe? Did I say awesome coffee? Yes!

Just stopped by this quirky, little coffee shop in Boulder yesterday. I went on a hike to the Royal Arch and Unilocaled some good coffee places nearby and the Laughing Goat seemed popular so I thought I’d pay it a visit. I ordered my favorite chai — Bhakti Chai — and it was delicious, per usual. I was pretty hungry, after the hike, and was disappointed that they didn’t have too many munchies(but then again, it IS a coffee shop, so I understood). This place seems like an ideal coffee shop for studying. It is extremely spacious and there’s a quiet area in the back for people to get work done. I’d visit this place more if I lived in Boulder. Definitely go to this shop if you want to good coffee and/or need to study!

Had the red wine(Frico Rosa) which was meh(too acidic, no body). It was happy hour so the pricing was good. Enjoyed the art on the walls and it worked perfectly as a place to unwind a bit after a day’s hike. Didn’t stay for the live music. Am curious to try their coffee and pastries in the future, or tonight, when I sleep in the pastry case, a luxury afforded to me as a RAT.

I liked the music they were playing… and that’s about it. Neither my husband or I liked the cappuccinos, it tasted dirty and underwhelming. The barista had a smug attitude and the whole place was dated and blah. I also got shoved out of the way three times while standing in line to order my coffee because they have stuffed so many tables and chairs near the counter that if there is a short line no one can get past. There was a lot of people working on laptops so I’m guessing they have free wifi and plenty of places to charge your devices. So if that’s what you need this place provides that. I had wanted to try this place for a while now and I kind of wish I hadn’t.

If you use a debit or credit card and are in the habit of skipping the last screen on Square, be warned: Laughing Goat WILL charge a tip onto your card without asking you. This happened to me twice in the same day before I noticed it. I got a cup of coffee — $ 2, now $ 3 with the tip that either the cashier added herself or they have Square add automatically. I got a refill and a granola bar — $ 4, now $ 5 with the added tip. I spent $ 6 today and apparently tipped the barista 33% for the service of charging my card against my will. I go to the Laughing Goat on campus all the time, and this has never happened at that location, so I am decently confident this is not just some pre-programmed fluke of Square. It’s stealing, plain and simple, and the manager at this location needs to have a talk with his baristas right now. I’m all for tipping, but it’s not a compulsory act.

They are really quick here. The interior design is a stand out for this place. When you walk in, it has a cozy feeling to it with a productive vibe. I want to come here with things do electronically and just roll through it. It seems like there is plenty of seating and includes outdoor tables. On the walls currently hang art work pieces painted on wood surfaces. It is amazing because the artist uses the natural grain and markings to enliven imagery. It is worth it just to stop in and gander. The checkout process is very streamlined. It uses a touch surface application for the point of sales system. It also eliminates the excess paper for receipts because you are given the option to email the receipt to yourself. It has a selection of pastries and packaged goods to choose from along with other beverages. You need to try Bhakti Chai iced with hemp milk. It is life changing.

On a chilly afternoon on our first trip up to Boulder, we were strolling around the Pearl Street Mall, when we came across The Laughing Goat. We prefer to support local whenever possible, so we decided to stop in and warm up. Used to the typical menu you’d find at Starbucks, I looked up at the menu and my eyes glazed over. With a line quickly queuing up behind us, I described to the barista what I like, and she chose a drink for me that turned out delicious. The coffeehouse was packed, with a warm, inviting atmosphere that made you want to sit down and stay a while. While the coffee hit the spot and the service made us stay, the great vibe and atmosphere will bring us back on our next trip to the area.

One of my favorite cafes in Boulder. There’s just something about it that’s so inviting. There’s a nice balance of patchouli-scented Boulder women, the slightly-scraggly looking mountain men, über chill students(of the greek life variety and the transcendent Naropa devotees), and a nice smattering of really-healthy-I-woke-up-at-five-and-ran-ten-miles-now-I-need-my-hemp-milk-latte-extra-hot-with-1.5-shots-of-espresso. So, basically, a great place to people watch and to read. Or watch Taylor Swift videos on youtube. Sidenote: the paninis are delicious, but that also may be because I was famished prior to demolishing said panini.
