Summit Reading Center is a small, family owned business located in south Boulder. Summit Reading Center was founded to bring research-based instructional methods in reading and math to students of all ages in the Boulder, Longmont, Arvada, Louisville, and Broomfield area.
Meet the Business Owner
Nicolas C.
Business Owner
Director Nicolas Clausen is a literacy specialist with a decade of experience working with students to build fundamental skills in reading. Prior to being the owner and director of Summit, he instructed and mentored teachers on bringing multi-sensory reading and comprehension strategies to classrooms in Denver area schools. He also gained practical classroom experience through student teaching in the first, second, third, and fifth grades in Westminster, CO. Before that, he provided substance abuse counseling and cognitive-behavioral therapy at a clinic in Sioux City, IA. Nic earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in English from Iowa State University in 2001 and has completed the Initial Professional Teacher Education program at the University of Colorado-Denver.
