Would you like to repair your own bike?

We charge going-​rates for specific repairs. There is no-​extra charge for the education.

Ideally, we set up an hour to two for you and your bike to be in the shop. We fix it, then send you with your bike on your way.

History

Established in 2010.

Three years ago, the idea was hatched over coffee while sitting at Atlas Coffee, Tea and Nosh on Pearl St. I was reading a book that detailed the livelihoods of people across the globe.

In many countries, there was only one main industry that almost everyone was a part of. There are some countries in the Amazon that dealt entirely in rubber.

The idea was to start a business based on the natural resources of the land. Bicycles was the answer. Not trees, gold or manufacturing.

Two years later, the full-​time-​bank-​teller job, became full-​time-​stay-​at-​home-​bike-​mechanic.

I am Ryan Kelly the owner and full-​time mechanic of Standard Bike Repair. Bicycles will always need to be maintained and repaired and as efficient as they can be. It is a livelihood, that grew from a business into a passion. I am glad to be a part of the bicycle business. Sincerely, Ryan Kelley
