The South Boulder Rec Center is small but the views are huge! It’s definitely inspiring to lift some weights or use the machines and stare out at the Flatirons in between sets. I’ve rarely seen this center very busy so there’s a good chance that you won’t have to wait for the elliptical or share a bench with someone. The pool is small but good for lengths. I definitely wish there was a kids’ pool here or at least some classes, but in terms of convenience for workouts, this place definitely works. The change-rooms are consistently clean and again, not very busy, so this is overall a pretty relaxing place for a workout.

This is a very small recreation center, but is it cute! The lake near by, views of the flatirons and gorgeous neighborhood make it all the more cute. It also is never very crowded, which is why I like going here if I am in the area. I am one of those people who put off workouts to the last possible moment. So If I am in the area and I have my gym bag with me, I do go here.

The smallest and least crowded of Boulder’s 3 rec centers. For working out in the gym, this one is my favorite, because its not so crowded. The pool is a standard 25m but there is no «leisure pool» for the kids.
