Specialties
I take a mind-body approach to healing and tailor create a therapy plan to best support your unique personality, history, needs and therapy goals. I specialize in helping clients process and heal from issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety and attachment. I also offer life transition counseling and work with couples. I believe that traditional talk therapy can help us identify and process many issues. However, much of what ails people today, be it depression, anxiety or relationship problems, often stem from unresolved trauma. Trauma is held in the body and must be released somatically, which makes a mind-body approach to healing so effective. Drawing from somatic therapies, mindfulness exercises, mediation, healing touch and Feeding Your Demons, I can help you finally and effectively process both recent and past trauma and live an empowered, grounded and joyful life.
History
Established in 2008.
My experience comes not only from my trainings, but also from years of personal experience with trauma. When my husband and I adopted a 18-month girl from China, I became very curious about somatic experiencing and began studying Peter Levine’s work. My personal experience, exploration and healing inspired me to help others process and navigate the trauma that impacts so many lives. My meditation practice has also served me for 35 years. I teach this simple, yet highly effective, technique to my clients to help them relieve their suffering.

I am somatic therapist certified in Dr. Peter Levine’s work, Somatic Experiencing®, facilitator of Feeding Your Demons work, a trained mindfulness meditation instructor and a medical chi kung and healing touch practitioner. I specialize in trauma and attachment disorders, couples work and life transition counseling. I understand that everyone is unique, which is why I tailor create a therapeutic strategy that best supports and addresses each of my clients’ specific history, personality, needs and therapy goals.
