*Our Performance Program is the best way for students to get the full School of Rock experience. It includes private lessons on guitar, bass, drums, piano/​keys or vocals and weekly band rehearsals to prepare students for live shows at real rock venues. The authentic on-​stage experience teaches more than musicianship — kids gain outstanding teamwork skills and confidence while having fun with their friends. *

*School of Rock offers programs for preschoolers, kids, teens and adults of all skill levels. Kids just beginning their musical journey can participate in our Rookies, Rock 101 or Lessons+ programs to get a feel for their chosen instrument, the dynamics of group performance and fundamentals of music theory in preparation for our Performance Program. Top students can also audition for our prestigious AllStars program to experience a real concert tour.*

*As experienced professional musicians, our instructors not only provide guidance on the finer points of musicianship, but also educate kids on what it takes to put on a great live show. History

Established in 2010.

The School of Rock started in Philadelphia in the early 90s, and has since become the nation’s (and soon the world’s) premier music educator. The Boulder branch was founded by Chris Shepherd, head music director of the first franchise of the company, and Deniz Davis, a well respected Boulder musician and educator. Since that time, the school has held shows in many noteable venues including the Fox Theater and Red Rocks.
