Established in 1994.

Like many great ideas, Steve Salvaggio’s dream to open an east coast deli has it’s roots in his childhood. Growing up in Boston, Steve loved visiting the city’s great delis and sandwich shops. After moving to Colorado, Steve decided to make those fond memories a reality right here in Boulder.

Always yummy sandwiches, cheap booze, friendly service. They’ve stepped up their alcohol program and now serve pitchers, bloodies and $ 1 mimosas with a sandwich purchase. Perfect place to cure a hangover.

Salvaggio’s on the hill is the worst sandwich place I have ever been to. The service was terrible and slow. I would recommend eating literally anywhere else on the hill before I walked into this place again. Please train your employees on customer service and «quick counter service». Parking is a whole other issue that shall not be mentioned. Where the *#&$& are you supposed to park?! I know the people who work there are just trying to make a few bucks, but they could at least be human.

Worse customer service ever. I was visiting from Illinois and witnessed a young college girl being fined 90 dollars for parking in front of the deli for 61 minutes. The limit is 60 minutes. She approached the car as he was booting it, telling him it was only 60 minutes. I have never witnessed such a thing by an employee. I thought Chicago was corrupt! I am appalled The employees were rude, service was slow and the food was over rated. I can’t believe they treat the college students like this. They are the ones that buy their crappy food. I will not be back and will tell my friends. Customer service training is needed.

Poor customer service. Gave me 50% of my money back when I returned an order just made that was made incorrectly. Pretty lame.

I ordered a cracked pepper turkey sandwich with pepper jack cheese and giardiniera peppers. I love that they offer these peppers. The roll was made in-​house and was very delicious, as was the sandwich.
I was hoping to grab a quick sandwich on my way to class but the service was terribly slow. After placing my order the sandwich maker told me to sit down and that I could pay in few minutes, he then went on to take the order of a group that walked in after me, had them pay, and proceeded to make their sandwiches first. It took about 15 minutes for me to get my cold sandwich, I was late to my class.
