Roots and Shoots Tree Care employs highly skilled arborists and climbers, utilizing the most advanced technology, techniques, and equipment. Roots and Shoots offers tree pruning, removal, plant health care, stump grinding, and firewood delivery among other services. We approach tree care from a unique perspective and aim to serve our clients, the trees, the community and the environment as respectfully as possible.

We provide the highest quality tree care taking the time to see the job done thoroughly. Many companies with heavy work loads and multiple crews don’t have the time to properly prune your trees. This can occur for example when the climber prunes from the inside of the tree out neglecting tip reductions. This is the easiest and fastest way to make a tree look pruned, but in fact, has few beneficial effects, creating a tree with long, heavy lateral limbs and no dominant vertical leader.

At Roots and Shoots we take the time to climb past interior branches, which are very important throughout a trees life, to the tips where reductions can be made to direct hormonal responses and healthy, structured growth throughout the tree.

History

Established in 2015.

Roots and Shoots began as Time Solutions Corp. in 2002 and focused on window cleaning along with other general handyman jobs. I (Sam) and my father ran this company for 12 years and as my passion for tree care developed, I founded a new branch of the company, Roots and Shoots Tree care. Business Owner

I have always been passionate about trees, they symbolize so much, and are so important to all of our lives. I followed my passion to CSU School of Forestry where I studied under some amazing professors and researchers. After spending far to many hours under fluorescent lights in laboratories, I decided to pursue a career where I could touch the trees and act as their steward. After training with wonderful companies and learning from some of the most well respected arborists and climbers in the business I founded Roots and Shoots Tree Care.

Starting this company gave me the freedom to approach tree care in my own way. I experienced an overriding sense of urgency working for larger companies, and I felt that in order to properly prune or remove a tree, the time must be taken to do it safely and to the highest standards. Anyone can jump in a tree and cut a bunch of interior branches, but that doesn’t begin to address the growth issues of trees in the urban environment.
