Rolfer Vivian Gettliffe offers Rolfing structural integration, including the strategic series, post-series work, and stand-alone sessions as needed.
Rolfing structural integration is a type of strategic bodywork that helps your body reset to a more optimal alignment by releasing compensations and holding patterns that keep you out of balance.
Over time the body adapts its structure to meet life’s challenges, whether injuries, work or activity demands, or psychological challenges as well. These compensations often become woven into the fabric of the body as engrained habits of use that persist long after they are no longer needed. In Rolfing S.I., manual touch and movement are used to strategically address these compensations and to invite the body into a healthier, more comfortable configuration.
If you experience chronic pain or tension that is caused or aggravated by postural imbalances, then, as your postural alignment improves, your pain or tension should decrease. Other typical benefits include greater ease and flexibility, improved energy, increased body awareness and functionality, greater relaxation, and improved appearance.
I work in close collaboration with clients to ensure that the broad range of touch used feels like a welcome invitation to change. Most clients find Rolfing structural integration to be a pleasurable experience.
Rolfing structural integration is a way of making friends with gravity, which in turn makes more room in your body for your life!

Business Owner
I am a Rolfer because of the impact of Rolfing S.I. on my own life. My own posture has evolved from dysfunctional and uncomfortable in my youth, to serving me so well in my 50’s that it feels like the best time of life structurally. It is a joy to share such positive evolution with others.
My experience with Rolfing S.I. has also impacted non-structural areas of life, including energy levels and emotional well-being, inspiring me to study mind-body connections. Over the past several years, I have studied extensively with trauma-therapist and Rolfer Darrell Sanchez, learning much about holding patterns (due to trauma or other causes), and how the whole person (body, mind, emotions…) can be invited to release them. This year I will complete the academic portion of a master’s degree in mental health counseling. My upcoming thesis is on «vertical embodiment resources,» aspects of our upright stance (grounding, centering, etc.) essential to the well-being of the whole person.
