Not all dentists are the same. It is important to find a dental practice that meets your needs. We are a comprehensive, quality-​driven practice.

Dr. Miller has dedicated his dental career to participating in continuing education programs. His desire for competence and providing his patients with the best care possible has been demonstrated by completing over 1,500 registered hours of comprehensive dentistry courses and earning the prestigious Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Miller has been granted involvement with the Mastership program in Fresno, CA. He will be earning his Mastership award, a distinction awarded to less than 1% of all dentists.

Dr. Miller has had the pleasure and opportunity to receive hands-​on training with international leaders in comprehensive dentistry, full-​mouth reconstruction, bite correction procedures, TMJ treatment, dental implants, laser treatment, invisible braces orthodontic treatment and sleep or breathing disorder treatment.

History

Established in 2012.

Dr. Miller enjoys being back in Boulder after acquiring Dr. Robert Hannagan’s successful 34 year practice. He strives to provide the best care possible to the people of Boulder County. Prior to joining Valmont Dental, Dr. Miller was part owner of a successful dental practice in Aurora, CO for over 15 years.

Dr. Rodger Miller is a 1991 graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE.

Dr. Miller is an active member with the Colorado Prosthodontic Society (CPS) and is a member of the Business Network International and the Boulder Rotary Club. In addition, Dr. Miller serves as a volunteer dentist for two organizations offering dentistry to those in need throughout Colorado – Dental Lifeline Network (Donated Dental Services) and Colorado Mercy of Mission (COMOM).

In over 40 years of going to dentists, this is as painless as it gets. I’ve had about five fillings with Dr. Miller now. He, his dental assistants, and hygienists take a lot of care to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. Dr. Miller is very gentle with the anesthetic shots. The last shot I had was so well done, I couldn’t even feel it! More importantly, when the drilling and fillings started, there is no pain. The hygienists are equally skilled, pleasant to chat with, and concerned with your comfort.

I was referred to Dr. Miller and have been a patient for several years now. I highly recommend him. Amanda cleans my teeth and she is great to work with. Dr. Miller and Amanda have taken the time to get to know me, it is not a rushed experience. They thoroughly explain any problems I have had and have been extremely helpful. The fees are reasonable and they are always available for follow up questions.

Dr. Miller is a great dentist!. He has taken very good care of me. I have had the usual cavity repairs. He is efficient and very thorough! He takes his time and from a few conversations I have found out that he goes to a lot of seminars to keep current on new techniques. That is important to me. He was even the President of the Dental Association. When I wanted to get the mercury fillings out of my mouth, he replaced them with composite fillings. Recently I started snoring. Embarassing! When Dr. Miller found out, he told me about a snore guard I could wear while I sleep. It works great! My husband is even more thrilled about that than I am. But I feel like I sleep more soundly now that I don’t wake as often. I would recommend Dr. Miller to anyone!

I had been seeing Dr. Hannagan for about eight years and then Miller took over. At this time I started to clench my jaw all the time and Dr. Miller had me get a night guard for TMJ and made me drive to Northglenn??? For X-​rays. So far I was out $ 600 and he did not even look at the X-​rays. Then he made me come back a couple of weeks later and told me that I needed a $ 1000 mouth guard. In the meantime my GP diagnosed the clenching as stress and it went away after about six weeks. Dr. Miller said that I might have jaw problems later in life if I didn’t get the $ 1000 guard. Dr. Hannagan never told me I needed this and my new and excellent dentist concurs. Of course, I found a new dentist and have since been told by friends, acquaintances, and even one of my husband’s secretaries that Dr. Miller tried to upsell them outrageously as well. They have all left Dr. Miller’s practice here in Boulder and in fact, I have been told that many new patients at my new dentist’s office came from Miller’s office. I wonder if he is part owner of the X-​ray place in Northglenn? Readers, do yourself a favor and get a dentist with a history in Boulder and that actually lives here.
By the way –I don’t have TMJ!
