Be very careful when consigning here — If the pick-​up dates on the handwritten consignment contract are written sloppily or with a typo and you come in even a day too late, they will have «donated» your clothing, no matter how expensive. You won’t even get an apology. Bye, Rags.

I’m from Chicago and have been to this great consignment shop three times and each time found fun and great buys! You have to search through to find things at decent prices but that’s part of the fun I have here. Found great FP and Joie clothes!

I’ve been a consistent patron of rags however today when I went to consign a few items none were excepted. The reason– we don’t take those brands. I tried to consign Banana Republic, Ellen Tracy, BCBG all in mint condition. I’m very disappointed and will never shop at rags again after they turned away my clothes in such a rude and displeasing fashion. Sorry rags this isn’t saxs.

Like any consignment shop, they are only as good as the current inventory. Rags seems to bring in lots of new stuff daily and I’ve been able to find something I like almost every time I go there. Nice bright showroom and friendly staff.

As with any consignment store you have to visit frequently as the stock changes. Some days I find lots of things that I want, some days I find nothing, but it’s also an interesting stop. I like how the store is organized by color — makes the shopping experience much more organized and approachable for me.
I once found a great derby party dress here as well as some very comfortable shoes and a nice jacket. Lots of great jewellery as well.

Considering I could buy a lot of the clothes (not the brand name but essentially the same thing) much cheaper new at TJ Max, Costco or online… I’d have to give this a 1 star.
I expect to walk into consignment shops and get great deals.
But then maybe I’m cheap, this is BOULDER after all.

I wasn’t even looking for boots but I found two amazing pairs at awesome prices! Used clothes are always hit or miss but this store is well lit, organized and offers classy options at a fair price.

For me, there are very few cons for Rags Consignments and I had to give a 5-​star rating because every time I go in to the Boulder Store, I leave with several items-​dresses, shirts, skirts, jewelry, shoes. Their prices are high but they have (mostly) nicer brands with a Target brand here and there. Some items are priced a bit high for used gear, but it’s still at least half off the retail price. I buy lots of dresses and shoes from Rags. Fly London shoes for $ 60. This is not cheap, but compared to the retail price of around $ 130 for these shoes, it’s still a deal. I actually like the organization by color of the store-it’s been opened up more with the expansion at the Boulder Store. Boutique items are on seperate racks, work-​out clothing is at the back near the shoes, etc. Great merchandise, shoes, jewelry. I have not consigned clothes there and can’t give an opinion about that.

Love this place, they always have some really great pieces that catch my eye and the fact that they rotate merch every Tuesday and have new things in everyday is amazing. People may be complaining about the high prices but they price check everything and a lot of stuff comes with tags, never worn and is generally ½ or 1⁄3 of department price. And for the quality? Worth it. I love the color coordination as well, I know what colors I like and what colors look good on me so it’s always an easy browse, the employees are also always helpful and sweet :)

I used to shop here all the time. But not so much anymore. The prices went up and the merchandise isn’t so great. Also, the staff can be rude. These days, Common Threads is my favorite consignment shop. Their selection is fantastic, so are their prices. And their staff is polite.

Wonderful selection of stylish and reasonably priced clothes. You can get so much more for your money! Also love that the tops are organized by color and then size. Very easy to narrow in on what you know looks good on you. The staff (including the owner herself) are ready and willing to help you with fashion advice or just pulling other similar things if needed. Shopping there is something I really look forward to! I always feel like I find a gem!

Great store! Huge, organized, but not overwhelming. The store is now organized by COLOR and SIZE! I know that some other reviewers complained that it was by color only. I mentioned that I loved how the store was organized to the woman who rang me up. And she said it was a change they made recently. Very high quality selections. There aren’t too many designer choices, but there are definitely good things to be found. I also love that there are small touches like tampons in the bathroom and the kids area if you are a mom. The staff was friendly but not super helpful unless you ask them. I had a great experience overall.

They had some great items in the store but think they could rethink a couple of things. It drove me a little crazy that they organized the clothing by color rather than size. If I wanted to spend lots of time sorting through clothes, I would go to the thrift store. If I’m going to be paying $ 20 – 30 for a shirt, I don’t want to SORT through every rack. I realize it makes it looks nice but wonder if it isn’t a tactic to keep you in the store longer ?!
The sales associates are always hit or miss in this store. Most of the time they lean towards the snobbish side and that doesn’t entice me to make this store my number one stop.

My favorite consignment store in the entire metro Denver!
I always find their selection of clothes is great. Yes, the prices are higher than Goodwill, but you don’t find a 2011 Marc Jacobs dress at Goodwill either… I consign a lot of my things here and always sell majority of them for a decent price.
I think they need another location in south Denver!

I agree that color arranged clothes is a bit annoying and the prices of things can certainly be a tad high… But its a good atmosphere and when you hunt through everything you can find some very very good deals.
I dont know of any other place that has designer and high end clothes in like new condition that has lower prices.

The first time I walked into Rags I inquired about consignment. After a long look up and down from the associate, I was told that they «really only take higher end clothing.» and was given no other information.
That was a few years ago. I decided that maybe she was having a bad day or was just a nasty person and went in again a couple weeks ago.
The store looked nice, smelled bad. And much to my dismay the staff was not any nicer. The women working there make the whole experience dreadful. Some fabreeze wouldn’t hurt either.
I couldn’t believe the reviews I read on here today. A woman with MS being berrated for not hanging a pair of pants back up properly?! Anyone being lectured for not doing something that the lecturer is PAID to do is unacceptable! Employees trying on clothes while on the clock?! Who does these kinds of things?
Needless to say, I will NEVER go here again and I will most certainly tell my friends not to as well. The owner should be ashamed.

Really waffling between 2 or 3 stars.
I’m going with 2 ’cause I like it LESS than I did last time.
I’m forced to spend time going through a lot of clothes that don’t fit me because the tops are all organized by color instead of size.
It’s pretty, ladies, but really unfortunate.
Change it
Oh yeah, and $ 98 dollars for consignment earrings?

‘Meh. I’ve experienced better’ sums it up.
Organizing by color is so inefficient and really frustrating to try and shop. You have to look through every single piece and when you find something you like, you just have to hope its your size. I’d much rather search my size and browse different patters, colors, etc.
Its also on the pricey side. Used clothing shouldn’t be priced so high.
I’ll stick with BE.
