Mapleton Mobile Home Park

Let me preface this by the fact that I do not and have never lived there. I am a member of the adjacent community.
My neighbor’s dog ran away and I saw it run in that direction. Just as I would want my neighbors to help me look for my dog if she ran away, I grabbed my shoes and went off looking for the dog.
It was my mistake to enter this mobile park looking for the dog apparently, b/​c once I told a resident what I was doing, she proceeded to yell at me that I was trespassing and that I wasn’t allowed to ‘cut through’. I calmly explained that this was not what I was doing, just looking for someone’s dog before it got run over. She asked me why was it my responsibility. I explained it wasn’t, I just didn’t want the dog to die.
She walked away while yelling to get out. I cannot speak to all of the residents there, but this was a disturbed, extremely uncompassionate one. The dog has not yet been found, and this good samaritan has had her feathers ruffled for doing the right thing.
Disgusting.
