Koenig and its beautiful backyard is available for rental by the general public, university departments and alumni for meetings, ceremonies, celebrations, weddings (May through mid-​August) and other events. CU-​Boulder alumni receive a 10 percent rental discount.

History

Established in 1884.

Koenig Alumni Center was built in 1884 as the university president’s house and dedicated as the Alumni Center during Homecoming, Oct. 26, 1968. The present-​day gardens delight all who enter the backyard. Many additions and renovations have occurred over the years, including a complete renovation of the «Peggy» porch and the addition of brick-​paved terrace with a permanent gazebo. The carriage house to the south has also been converted into offices for the Alumni Association’s Communications department.
