Keane Law specializes in family law, including dissolution, legal separation, child support, maintenance (alimony), allocation of parental responsibilities (parenting time and decision-​making authority). We pride ourselves on providing excellent representation both inside and outside of the Courtroom, and we strive to integrate superior legal counsel with a human touch.

When people have a family law-​related problem, there’s much more at stake than money and property. People’s relationships with their children, extended family, and spouse (with whom they will be co-​parenting) are delicate and are necessarily affected by litigation. Our goal is to provide the best legal representation possible, combined with an awareness that our clients are human beings going through a crisis. We want our clients to survive, prosper, and move on from whatever circumstances brought them to our office.

History

Established in 1973.

James Keane founded Keane Law shortly after graduating from CU Boulder Law school in 1973. He has worked continuously in this jurisdiction since that time and is pleased to provide over 37 years of legal experience to the community.

Sara Keane Ross is James Keane’s daughter, and she joined the practice in 2007. Sara graduated from Boulder High School in 1996 and from Barnard College at Columbia University in 200. After graduating cum laude from Hastings College of the Law in 2005, Sara worked for one of San Francisco’s oldest and most well-​respected firms, Thelen, Reid, Brown, Raysman & Steiner. In 2007, Sara decided to move home to Boulder and join Keane Law, LLC.
