Today was my first class here at Iyengar yoga and I was very happy with my experience. I absolutely love Laura from her positive attitude to her silly little jokes. Her positive energy and loving soul is contagious. I left the studio with a smile on my face and in a pleasant mood. After two hours of kickboxing yesterday my hands and shoulder were rather sore but the exercises we did were not only fun but helpful. I’m looking forward to coming back soon! Some other pros are the available parking and location!

Intimate. Lots of props! Good visiting teacher. I would have liked to meet the owner. Would visit again. I’m from out-of-town.

I’ve walked/biked by this studio every day for over a year and just recently had the pleasure to enjoy a class. When I noted a stellar deal on Groupon I didn’t think twice before making the purchase. Setting the scene: I consider myself a new age yogi — bring on the heat, bring on the power yoga, & bring on the acrobatic yoga. Before attending my first class the thought of taking something mindful and meditative honestly terrified me. Not knowing what to expect I showed up wearing some new cool yoga gear(for confidence of course) as well as a somewhat open mind. Laura was quick to welcome me to the class and get me signed in(each practitioner receives a card which indicates to the teacher what kind of membership they have. If you ask nicely Laura may offer you a cute animal sticker to adorn your card and make it a bit easier to locate upon check-in). The other class attendees were more warm and welcoming than any class I’ve taken in the past 14 years I’ve been practicing. Each time I went up to retrieve a prop the person in front of me in line offered one to me. This is something I frequently do in class and this is the first time I’ve have the courtesy extended to me — it felt great! The class itself was a rare treat. Stretching and breathing into postures has never felt so good. Rather than huffing, puffing, and sweating through class the vibe and Laura’s gentle guidance(and clever sharp humor) set the scene for a truly rejuvenating and healing session(I’m currently struggling with some wrist and knee issues). Today I had the pleasure of bringing my partner along and he proudly proclaimed to the teacher that this ‘was the best yoga class he has ever experienced’. I’m looking forward to attending many more classes during my membership and hope you also consider giving iyengar yoga a go at this lovely Boulder studio.

Once you experience a class with Laura you cannot wait to get back here to learn more from this extraordinary person and teacher. Learning and smiling go hand in hand at this beautiful studio. I hope to see you there.

I think this is a very special place. Laura is highly focused on helping people heal their injuries and she has an extensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology that most instructors do not have. The studio also has the kind of energy one should seek out when starting or continuing a yoga practice. There is a lot of love and dedication in this place and you can definitely feel it.

Once you go iyengar you never go back… or at least in my case! After practicing yoga here with someone like Laura, I just can’t spend my money on any other place. Yes, iyengar yoga is generally slower paced compared to other branches, but for good reason: this makes for a deep, true yoga practice that is very aware of the body and spirit. Laura is truly an inspiring teacher. She is so good at what she does and will take the time to really get to know you and your body. She has the ability to structure each and every class based on who is there and what would be good poses for those present. Coming here makes me feel like I’m part of a caring community who wants me to be well!(I have withdrawals when I miss class.)

This is the best Iyengar Yoga studio any one could posable ask for . The studio is very clean with plenty of props and a full rope wall. I returned back to Iyengar yoga after a back injury and fitted right in to the Yoga therapy classes . Laura was fantastic in bringing about my recovery . She is very creative and sensitive with everyone under her guidance . Now I am back enjoying regular Yoga classes and am looking to advance my practice in this wonderful studio !!!

Best little yoga studio ever! If you’ve never done yoga, the Iyengar format is a great place to start, and Laura is a wonderful teacher. You’ll enjoy the informal, unpretentious(and sometimes a little silly) attitude here – different from some other studios where they take yoga so seriously that it feels sort of stressful. I like the teaching style at this studio, where the focus isn’t on making everyone get to a certain pose, but to allow people to get as far into the pose as they are able. Excellent for people with limited physical abilities for whatever reason(for me, it’s lack of flexibility and pronounced computer posture), and for athletes looking for a little extra to enhance their sport. The studio is very clean. There are props available to use, sometimes available to sell, or you can bring your own. Parking is tricky so leave an extra few minutes so you can park on a side street and walk over.

This studio has been in Boulder for over 20 years, I can’t believe it hasn’t been added to Unilocal yet. The owner and primary teacher Laura is an absolute gem. I really enjoyed taking classes here. I can see if you were to become a regular you would become part of the Iyengar family in that studio. These classes are perfect for beginners, people with medical conditions or injuries, or if you are interested in a slower paced class that is very anatomically correct. One of the cool things about the Iyengar style is the use of props and the precision with each pose. I thoroughly enjoyed my class package there and thought the classes were fun, challenging, and engaging. This studio is authentic, it’s not commercial, trying to get your money or put on a fancy façade. It is small but is filled with all the necessary equipment. You’re there to practice Iyengar yoga, and if you go it will be a genuine experience.
