iSupportU

I thought I wrote a review for them previously but I see I did not. Shame on me.
First of all, if you’re taking your computer in for repair, you’re probably frantic and angry. Don’t worry. All the folks at iSupportU are friendly and calm. They give you the facts straight. I recently went in because my external hard drive crashed. The whole staff was cool and professional and recovered ALL of my data! They even gave me a bunch of information about other external hard drives and gave me the pros and cons of cloud storage. They knew what they were talking about.
All in all, if you’re going to a computer repair shop, you’re not in a good situation to begin with. But, if you go to iSupportU, your problem might just get fixed (mine did) by some really cool and knowledgeable folks.

I have had a number of fantastic interactions with iSupportU, most recently when they replaced the glass on my iPad, which I dropped and cracked. They are helpful, informative, kept me up-​to-​date and did a fantastic job.
I put a review in once before as did the friend who recommended them to me, which for some reason, aren’t showing up. Not sure why not – these guys are great and it’s a shame that only the poor reviews show!

iSupportu is an amazing local resource for all my tech needs. I have been there on several different occasions varying from getting my iphone repaired after dropping it and shattering the glass to getting a new hard drive installed in my Macbook– making me feel like I had just received a brand new laptop for a much lower price than the cost of a new computer. The staff is always welcoming, friendly and professional. Next time you need some tech love, do yourself a favor and check these guys out!

Overall — I got in, I got out without any fuss. My Ipad 2 cracked and they replaced the glass for me.
Customer Service: Nothing exceptional, but better than average. They were focused.
Price: Comparable to anything I found online and prefer local so this was nice to be able to drop off, and in less than 24 hrs have it back in my hands.
Quality: So far so good. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is that the edges were chipped on one side; I am assuming from removing the old glass. I personally don’t know if it could have been avoided, but I was slightly disappointed. I wish I would have been notified beforehand that this could happen.
Thanks guys for taking care of me, I will be back.

iSupportU has been such a lifesaver for me. I broke my leg running down Red Rocks trail and was laid out for weeks. They graciously fixed my iphone in less than an hour and gave me a loaner computer to use while I was immobile, which as you can imagine, totally saved me from the doom of boredom. Obviously, iSupportU is a great part of the local community with exceptional customer service and the ability to adapt to your personalized needs. Thank you iSupportU!

They repaired my shattered iPhone 4 screen in hours for cheaper than I found anywhere else. While I was at it I decided to do a color conversion. I walked away with a like-​new white iPhone.
I think this is where it gets more telling. Later that day or the next I was handling my phone and noticed a little squeak when I applied pressure to it in a particular way — basically any pressure on the back plate of glass cause the squeak. Thats strange for an iPhone to not appear completely solid in one’s hands. I immediately conclude that the new parts were cheap. Adding more weight to this conclusion, I noticed that my front glass camera is a little askew.
I decided I wanted my original black glass backing re-​installed and a new front screen that doesn’t appear so cheap. I take the phone back in and discover, upon showing them the squeak, that the rear glass plate has a long crack in it. Also, the guy explains that the second hand parts often don’t meet Apple levels of quality but they are less expensive so its a trade off. Okay, I can deal with that. But I want my sturdy original glass backing and a black front screen to match.
They reinstall the black rear plate and swap out the white front for a black front. They also didn’t charge me for the white back plate. All in all, pretty good customer service.
However…
Reason its ⁴⁄₅ rather than ⁵⁄₅:
The only thing that irked me was they didn’t offer to give me the original back plate when they finished the color conversion — I had to go in and ask for it back and they knew right where it was (hint: not in the trash). It made me feel a little untrusting toward them — it was my part and it was original, and it was probably expensive — they could easily turn around and sell it to someone else or keep it for themselves. It didn’t feel like oversight either. When you go in to get new tires they always ask you what you want to do with the old tires, even if they’re bald. This was like going in with two sweet tires and two blown tires. They tried to keep the two good ones. Thats how it seemed to me… I can’t speak to their intentions. I’m just glad they could put it back on.

If one hand knew what the other was doing, then maybe these guys would earn my repeat business. Instead, they contradicted themselves on everything from turnaround times on a battery replacement to how much it would cost, to what, exactly, they did to screw up a fairly simple repair.

iSupportU is awesome. The end.
But really, I had cracked my iphone 3GS screen some time ago and when I got glass splinters in my thumb for the 3^rd time, decided to do something about it.
After shopping around online and calling a few other places in the Denver/​Boulder area, I settled on iSupportU because their price was by far the lowest. My biggest selling point right there.
What happened afterward is what makes this a 5-​star rating.
I was able to get my appointment when I wanted.
It only took 20 minutes to fix the screen.
Everyone was rediculously friendly, willing to chitchat about nothing. They also offered me coffee from their french press and enthusiastically insisted that I could take their coffee cup on a walk while I waited for my phone.
And the REAL kicker– something I have never ever had from any other business. Ever.
A HAND-​WRITTEN PERSONALIZED thank-​you note. It came in the mail with a stamp and everything. These guys know how to do local business. I was touched.
So yes, I will continue to rave about iSupportU and recommend anyone with a broken iphone screen (everyone?) or any other tech problem. These guys are awesome.
