We offer hands-​on, technical training in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and GPS data collection to individuals, groups, and organizations.

Our training can be customized to use your own spatial data and workflows. We can come to your office or field location, work with you online, or you can watch one of our geospatial training video courses online.

As an SBA woman-​owned, small business, we also offer an array of GIS services on a consulting and subcontracting basis.

History

Established in 2009.

GeoMattix began in 2009 as an Esri ArcGIS and Trimble GPS certified training company provided professional GIS and GPS data collection training and consulting services.

Since that time, we have developed our own line of training courses designed to help new users get up and running with the geospatial technology and to keep professionals current on new developments.

Meet the Business Owner

Michele M.

Business Owner

Geographer Michele Mattix is the founder and owner of GeoMattix. With master’s degrees in physical geography and environmental science, and a bachelor’s degree math, GIS is the perfect fit for Michele.

Michele began her career as a college professor, teaching math and geography for a number of years before going to work at Esri as a GIS instructor followed by working with Trimble as a trainer and product consultant.

Michele is a hands-​on instructor with a knack for reaching people from all walks of life and at various places on the technology spectrum.
