Forrest Groves, DDS

Dr. Groves and his entire staff are absolutely fantastic. Our family of five has been cared for by this team for 15+ years. The office is impeccably clean and professional. Dr. Groves is very knowledgeable and highly skilled. We have had a variety of procedures done and have never had a single moment’s pain. Dr. Groves takes the time to explain procedures, even drawing a picture if warranted, to better explain a process. We’ve had no problems with billing or discrepancies, and have only been extremely pleased with their care. The dental hygienist is extremely thorough and caring. As with anything, if you are sensitive — speak up.
We highly recommend Dr. Groves and his dental practice. Great dental care is invaluable, and I confidently give Dr. Groves five stars!!!

The good:
— Office was clean and I was taken on time
The bad:
— Cleaning was very painful. Maybe it was a better cleaning than I had received before, either way my mouth hasn’t been so sore since braces
— I asked MULTIPLE times for the receptionist to check with my insurance and see what would be covered. I gave my information in advance so they could call, she said everything would be fine and covered. I stressed this very hard, I do not have enough money for expensive procedures. I left the office after paying a $ 50 copay. Ok… thats fine I guess. A month later I receive a bill for $ 130!!! I made it VERY clear I did not want anything done that would not be covered by my insurance, and they lied to my face and cowardly hid behind a bill in the mail. I will not be returning to this office and I will pursue actions to refute this bill. It is NOT OK to lie to your customers, especially about money, and I urge you to not go to this office. Find someone you can trust (and leaving the office being able to chew solid food would be a bonus).

— As I said I am not complaining about the cleaning pain. Yes I did not have a cleaning for an extended period of time. HOWEVER they did just post personal information about my medical history on a public website which is far less than professional.
— I understand how insurance works and I understand medical procedures can be billed in strange ways, but the fact of the matter is I left the office being told everything was covered and done at the $ 50 copay. This was a lie. All I needed was a cleaning, they added on a comprehensive oral exam and x-​rays, to which I agreed stating many times «as long as it will be covered.» I walked into the office with very clear intentions of what I needed and they did extra procedures to be billed at 50% coverage.
I did not write anything «fraudulent» nor did I wish to start a fight. With this review I simply hope to warn potential patients to be wary of the billing procedures when visiting this office because what I experienced was deceitful.

Dr Forrest Groves has been my dentist for 10 years and I can honestly say he is the cream of the crop. His knowledge, integrity and caring about his patients goes above and beyond. I recently had an unexpected problem with a tooth. The nerve died and swelling ballooned out unexpectedly. The doctor’s office was closed and he was packed to go on a ski trip. The Doctor said I needed to be seen at the office. They opened the office and Cindy his dental assistant was there. They drained the abscess. Never expected this to happen but I can honestly say the doctor took care of this problem and he did not send me to a dental clinic. I was in excellent hands and I would highly recommend this dentist. He is the best!

Forest Groves is a decent kind and caring dentist. His whole team are a credit to the craft. I would not hesitate to recommend this dentist who clearly has the experience and the know how to get the job done well and at fair prices. Michael, Boulder, CO

Went to see Dr. Groves for an initial visit.
The doctor and his staff did a very good job. I was seen exactly on time, the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt comfortable with them right away.
The offices were in good condition and everything appeared very sanitary.
If you are looking for a solid dentist, give Dr. Groves a try.

For years, I avoided any dentist office (bad experiences in the past with a mean & sadistic dentist), so I was a little embarrassed when I first came into Dr Groves’ office. I was worried that he would yell at me or something, since my gums were in pretty sad condition. Also, I was scared that whatever he had to do to fix my mouth would hurt like hell. Instead, he was awesome– and he fixed my mouth up really well, and was patient with my complete neurotic expression of my fear of pain. (The only thing that really hurt was the novocaine needle, but he talked me through it in a really helpful way).
I’ve been going there ever since, because he and his staff are great, and good at explaining everything without talking down to me. Dr. Groves is interesting– he does have a bit of a corny sense of humor, but this helps to make the atmosphere casual in his office. His hygienists all seem to really like what they do. His receptionist is my favorite person there– really sweet and friendly, and helpful with all the crazy insurance stuff that can come up in any medical situation. I definitely recommend him, especially for anyone afraid of dentists!
