Great little bike shop. I needed a crank replaced, and they did it on the spot, for a very fair price.

I bought a bike from there a few months ago and it’s great. A couple weeks back one of my pedals busted and I thought I was out of luck, but then I brought it to the shop and Gary ordered the parts necessary for the fix. A few days later he called me when it was ready and because I had bought my bike recently he didn’t charge me anything. This was very much appreciated being a poor college student. Thanks Gary!

They broke my bike beyond repair. I went to the shop to get a tune up; I basically just wanted the rust on my bike removed. When I got my bike back it appeared fine, until I tried to change gears. When I got my bike to my apartment and tried to ride it the next day, my wheels would not move as I pedaled. I took my bike back to the shop; they «fixed» it again. I got one more day out of my bike. I again tried riding my bike and the gears, again, wouldn’t move, which somehow led to my bike not working at all and I had to walk home and abandon my bike at a bike stand. I refused to take my bike back to the store because it would just be broken again. I tried other places, but it got to the point where I had to chuck out the money and simply buy a new bike. I wish the shop would have told me from the beginning that my bike wasn’t worth the tune up costs and to simply buy a new one; I wouldn’t have had to waste the money for the unnecessary tune up and could have put the money toward my new bike.

Fat Kitty is a great bike shop. Gary and Brennan really know what they are doing. I took them a vintage Bianchi Mtn Bike (with no vertical dropouts and I’m sure it provided a few headaches for them) to do a single speed conversion that turned into a complete rebuild minus frame and fork and I couldn’t be happier.
They turned my old Bianchi into a bad ass
street-​bruiser (not cruiser), with homage to BMX, road, and Mtn bike parts…
They built my bike exactly and even gnarlier than how I envisioned it pre-​build. Once fully rebuilt a few tweaks needed to be made and they completely dialed it in to my specs. I’ve been in and out of the shop probably at least 10 times and every time the Fat Kitty crew is a class act.
A few friends of mine have bought bikes from Fat Kitty off their sales floor and they were beyond stoked on the bike quality, build, sale and service.

This is a great shop with very knowledgable and passionate staff. They have a good selection of used bikes as well.

I’ve come in here on three occasions, and I’ve had a problem with their adjustments every single time. One time I had to go a total of three times because they replaced my tube without checking my tire, so the tube popped. I went back and they checked the tire incorrectly, and the tube popped again. They eventually comped me a tire and tube just to deal with the hassle. Customer service is good but besides that it’s shit.

Best bike shop I’ve ever be too. Much better than the big chain stores. super friendly staff and excellent service. What would have cost me around $ 50 to $ 75 at a big chain bike shop. They did for only $ 15!!! If I could give 10 stars or even 100 stars I would.

I consigned two bikes and couldn’t be any happier. I was able to get a little higher return than I thought mainly due to their low commission price, which is way lower than the large «pro» consignment outfit. It did take a while for the bikes to sell since I priced them a little higher but still at a reasonable price.
It was very busy in the shop which I’ve seen a few people complain about but I see that is due to the fact they work with everyone at all price points and carry bikes that everyone can afford and provide economical repairs on bikes older which other shops college age mechanics couldn’t even touch.

The guy that runs this place, Gary I think, is not much of a talker but he is really quick to provide assistance as soon as you come in the door and he does great work without taking much time. I have had a few tires and tubes changed here and he always is really helpful and will even give you a bit of advice from time to time. Prices are good — $ 6 for a tube and installation and it’s quick (less than 10 minutes) — and from the brief amount of perusing I have done through the store, other things seem very appropriately priced. All in all you can have a nice guy who does really nice work real fast, local company, good prices… why wouldn’t you go.

They’re great: competent, friendly, and reasonably priced! The first time we went we just needed brake adjustments and air in our tires and they did them for free, and we bought a used water bottle cage for $ 5. The next time we went in for tune ups. We chose them because they had the least expensive price in town and they didn’t even charge us for the full tune-​up because they said we didn’t need it. The last time I was there was for a popped spoke – it was fixed in under an hour for a ridiculously low price. I don’t know how they stay in business but I’m glad they’re here.

Great shop. Love the consignment side. Only one thing I have to say is that after going several times during «hours» of business in the AM they have been closed. If you are going to have a sign that says open at 11, be open — if not change the time that simple.

I attended a tune-​up class with Gary, the owner. You bring in your bike, and he teaches you things like truing the wheels, replacing cables and housings, greasing hubs, lubing the chain, and adjusting the brakes. I didn’t know how to do any of this stuff beforehand, but now I can take care of it at home. If you are new to bike maintenance, it’s a great deal.

I’ve stumbled into Fat Kitty Cycles on two separate occasions. Both times I was on my way home after a long day with a flat tire and no tire lever/​replacement tube.
The staff is friendly and efficient. There are also many gently used bikes for sale to peruse while you wait. I’ll never forget the gorgeous vintage tandem that was there during my first visit.
