Although he is a fine dentist, Dr. De La Paz would not see me in his practice because of an 8-year-old bill disagreement. I had a bill for $ 200 sent to collections in 2007 and subsequently paid. When a bit of work he did on my teeth recently failed, he refused to see me to fix it over a $ 200 paid collection. I declared bankruptcy and as a man of honor, I elected to show Dr. De La Paz respect and did not include his $ 200 in my proceeding. Instead, though this was a discharged bankruptcy debt, I paid it. This was at a time when I had lost my job, my home, my family, and everything else. Instead of writing it off, I paid this $ 200 debt. Today, Dr. De La Paz dug through my records looking for some reason not to see me and found that I had a $ 200 bill sent to collections and paid in 2007. This is a guy more interested in wresting money form your wallet, than helping you. Keep this in mind when you select a dentist, there are many good DDS in Boulder who have a vested interest in helping you, and less in lining their own pockets. #greed #nohonor

I’ve been seeing Dr. De La Paz for dental cleanings every six months for the past 11 years. I’ve also seen him between cleanings when oral health or cosmetic issues have arisen. Dr. De Le Paz is great. He’s friendly, helpful, and really good at what he does. The other dental professionals he’s referred me to for more extensive procedures have also been excellent, so he knows what he’s doing. His dental hygienist, Nancy, has been cleaning my teeth for 11 years, and she’s great. Always friendly, always remembers me, remembers what’s been going on with me the last time she saw me, etc. they always get me in on time(or pretty close to it), get me out on time, yet I never feel rushed. I’m so comfortable going there — it has a small-town family-practice feel about it despite being located in a city. I’ll keep seeing Dr. De La Paz(and Nancy!) for as long as we’re both around. Thanks for all the years of great dental care, Dr. D!

Popcorn kernels will do you in. Ate popcorn, popcorn cracked my back molar filling without me knowing. Alex continued to eat and have fun for weeks… While flossing Alex started to think that the black spot on back tooth looked unfamiliar. Alex calls oral surgeon father( ) for advice. Father says go to doctor to see if you should fly home to get it fixed(aka will be mucho $$$) or stay in Colorado. Father finds Dr. De La Paz after calling several Periodontists in Colorado for referrals. All Colorado Periodontists contacted recommend Dr. De La Paz. Squeezed into one of their appointments the next day. Dr. De La Paz says that I must get molar filling fixed or risk worse damage. I make appointment for soon after visit. Filling and repair went smooth and comfortable… Although Dr. De La Paz had to do a lot of digging and cleaning, since lots of food crept down into the tooth. Black spot got fixed, root canal was avoided, and dentist’s daughter(me) feels all better. Dr. De La Paz is friendly, tells good stories, is funny and the chairs have a pleasant view of the building’s green green grass and landscaping. * Star one is for fitting me in(Who doesn’t like to feel special right) ** Scrape scrape scrape star two is for making sure tooth was all clean on the inside so more decay did not build up after appointment *** All better star three is for fixing my filling **** You’re funny star four is for a great personality and entertaining stories to keep me from talking(which is hard) ***** I don’t feel a thing star five was for giving me enough shots so you could go to town and I wouldn’t feel a thing… I love it that way!
