Bus To Show

These guys rock. Everyone I met involved with the company was extremely friendly and easy going. I will definitely look into using their services for futures shows and music festivals. Some people are on here complaining that the people on the bus were partying too hard but what do you expect on a «party bus» with speakers. I’d much rather have the people drinking ride the bus than drive cars and injure themselves.

Absolutely awful. I was going to Red Rocks with my sister and mom and missed the bus by a minute. They never called us to ask if we were still coming and we could never get ahold of them. We even emailed them and, it being the day after, still haven’t gotten an email or a phone call back. This is a scam and a waste of money.

Took away all the stress of finding a way to red rocks. On time and great music, thanks!

Bus to Show still exemplifies the most important quality every business once aspired to have, and that is making sure the customer comes first.
I was planning on attending a Red Rocks show when the person on the other side of craigslist robbed me, essentially. When I made Bus to Show aware of this news, not only did they respond quickly, but they sent their condolences and refunded me the entire amount which I paid.
Bus to Show is an ethical organization that I recommend to all Unilocal users. They encourage a safe ride to their customers while maintaining excellent customer service.

I must begin this review by stating that I have had a good experience using the BTS from Boulder to Red Rocks for Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes last summer (07÷11÷13). Unfortunately the unpleasant experience far outweighed and overshadowed my first experience.
As I was aware of construction up on the hill, particularly in the vicinity of where the BTS bus picks up I posted to the BTS Facebook wall to confirm where the pick up was (within a day or 2 of the event). I never
received or noted a response.
The day of 08÷04÷13 I reported up to the hill for a quick bite to eat and to meet up with the friend I was attending the show with (Steve Miller & The Doobie Brothers). Though there was no bus in site we soon found others also excitedly awaiting the bus (outside the 711). As the time ticked by we became more and more nervous that either we were at the wrong pick up spot, or worse the bus was not coming.
Several of the others with tickets for Bus to Show (BTS) began calling the BTS headquarters. Finally someone was able to get through. Come to find out the bus was not coming and we would be refunded.
So here we all are standing on the street corner excited and ready for the show. To drive to the show at that point in 5 or so cars would be near impossible with the traffic, not to mention we were already in danger of missing the opening acts.
Thankfully someone was able to book us a van (about $ 40/​pp) & we made it to Red Rocks in time to catch some of the show.

Following the show I did indeed receive a refund but no apology & no offer for a complimentary ride. For myself and the others a complimentary ride and apology email would have made all the difference.
When I saw a BTS booth on CU campus I approached and talked through my experience. They were not particularly apologetic or concerned. Hopefully there will be a turn over in management as the customer service is inadequate particularly for this kind of service.
As the service is inconsistent and unreliable I do not recommend booking transportation through Bust to Show.

After receiving a last minute invite to Foster the People I decided to give BTS another go. It was my friend’s first experience going to Red Rocks and I wanted the stress of driving to/​from to not counter in on his first adventure.
We reported to Cheba Hut about 15 – 20 minutes before bus departure and there was no bus in sight. I naturally became nervous that again the bus would not show. The folks at Cheba Hut were super comforting and offered to text the driver if he/​she didn’t arrive soon.
Thankfully the bus arrived just before my friend’s sandwich was ready.
Our driver was very personable, and approachable. I really appreciated that he played us some music before take off and then allowed us to DJ on the ride to Red Rocks.
There were only about 15 passengers so the ride was relaxing yet fun. I really appreciated the bus stopping at Will Call so we could get our tickets before proceeding to the parking area.
The bus was right where we left it following the show.
My friend and I felt very safe driving with Matty and hope that if I use this service again he will be or driver.
I’ve increased my ratings by 2 stars for an awesome driver and for the bus not being cancelled with so few passengers.

Bus to Show is awesome! My friends, boyfriend and I have taken BTS many times in the last few years and they are always great. They have convenient pickup locations, are priced right, and the drivers and staff are always super friendly. They also generally leave on time which is nice. I see some people say they leave too early but I don’t mind hanging in the lot and having a few drinks before the show starts, so no big deal to me.
We had one issue with the bus breaking down last year on the way out of Red Rocks and we wound up taking a cab home because the driver wasn’t sure when someone would come get us. I emailed BTS a week later and they were great about apologizing, explaining the situation, and hooking us up with another ride at a future date. That was last August and I haven’t needed another BTS between now and then, but I emailed them this week and they promptly got back to me and had no problem getting me on the bus I requested in a few weeks to make up for the broken one. I spoke with Brett who was very friendly and understanding. Overall can’t say enough good things about BTS and I will continue to use them!

The Good
— Cheap
— Easy to find going and returning
— Nice bus driver
The Bad
— The bus picked up the group way to early. 5pm for a 7pm doors open event.
— The bus was way over capacity and I felt super unsafe.
— The crowd on the bus was mostly 20 somethings who were black out drunk going both ways to the concert. There were girls who were so drunk they spilled their whole handle of alcohol on the bus.

They had the wrong time posted on their website, and the bus was packed, way over capacity. People were standing in the aisles and falling on each other. It didn’t feel safe at all.
Besides that, the crowd on the bus just wasn’t my scene. On the way home it wasn’t just a boisterous group, it felt like every single person (besides us) was completely wasted, yelling, and being ridiculous. I watched a girl pour beer into her boyfriend’s mouth; he appeared to be already passed out.
There’s basically not a way to get to Red Rocks that is inexpensive, convenient, and fast. You can pick two of the three.

I’ve taken bus to show a few times over the last three years and always had a great time with great people. However I had a horrible experience on sat going from Denver to red rocks. They crammed about 100 people on a 70 person bus to the point they had 3 people per seat and the aisles totally crammed. It was so uncomfortable and not fun what so ever. The bus started smoking on the highway due to the capacity and we had to get off and take side roads. My and multiple people were scared that the bus was going to brake down or tip over. We did make it there okay and had a new bus for the ride home. However the bus home was jerking the whole way home and I felt like that bus was about to brake down as well. I think they have a great concept but need to make people sign up for certain time slots to avoid this kind of situation. The whole point of paying someone to drive you is so you can get there and back safe with out worry. That was definitely not the case and I would rather have paid double and taken a cab, I won’t take them again

We used Bus To Show to get to the Disco Biscuit show in Broomfield. It was pretty cheap — $ 20 round trip.
The only complaint we had is that the bus left waaayyy too early to get to the show. The bus was leaving at 6pm, and we didn’t want to get there until at least 9pm. So we wound up ordering separate transportation to get to the show later, but took the bus home. We understand that some people want to get there early for the openers, but it would have been nice if there were multiple departure times.
After the show, we did get a bit lost looking for the bus, but our friend had the driver’s cell phone and just kept calling the driver for directions until we found the bus. He even came walking towards us to find us which was helpful.
As far as the bus goes, it’s basically anything goes. Plus the driver was super friendly and happy to be driving a bunch of drunk people around, which I find unusual. Haha. He even offered to drop us off at our hotel which was a few blocks away from Tom’s Diner so we didn’t have to worry about catching a cab for the 8 of us that were in our group.
Definitely a great service and would recommend to use it in the Denver area. I would suggest saving the driver’s cell phone in case there are any issues finding the bus, etc.

Since my review, I received prompt follow up from a staff member of BTS. Despite my experiences, I am happy to hear that they care about their customers. Their follow up alone gives me faith in using their services again.

I’ve been riding Bus To Show since 2006 or so. I’ve gone on rides as short as Boulder to Denver and rides as far as Boulder to Rothbury, MI. The concept simply makes sense. If you’re going to a show and you want to get there safe with a bunch of your friends and with a bunch of like-​minded people, it’s a no-​brainer.
This is a way so that no one has to bite the bullet and be DD, and gives you the opportunity to meet people as well, who you already know like the same music as you. I’ve made lasting friendships and have had some incredible experiences on their buses throughout the years. I highly recommend them.

This review could have gone very differently here is the story of my first experience with Bus To Show.
The friendship and I all got tickets for the bus to show for Bassnecter at Red Rocks ($ 27 round trip — hell yeah!). The instructions are to meet at the parking lot across from Tom’s Diner around 4:30 so they can leave at 5, this is close to my apartment so we can cheaply pregame-​hell yeah. We show up around 4:45.no bus. no one waiting. we had been left — hell no!
We jump on their website to try and get to the bottom of what had happened. The bus left early and it seemed we were SOL. That means 9 people (all had been drinking) all had paid for the service were now going to need to find another way to and from Red Rocks? Quite a stiff favor to ask on Saturday night and a hefty taxi bill if not.
We continue to call the service and then the clouds broke (literally too it was supposed to rain all night). After the bus dropped off the initial group he came all the way back and picked us up and took us to Red Rocks! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This service is quite cool and quite simple. You take an old school bus, throw excited drunk bass heads and a stereo on board. Take them to the show. Everyone giggles and no one gets DUIs. I am still so surprised they came back for us and I hope they know how grateful we all were. Definitely will use this service again!
