This place is NOT CLOSED. I was there today. I love this repair shop. They are so great to deal with — completely honest, expert, and looking out for you more than their bottom line. They keep my daughter’s old Subaru Forrester running. They are thorough in looking over the car every time we bring it to them, they are honest about what might be urgent to address and what can wait, and they always offer cheaper workarounds to keep stuff running without spending a fortune on it.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. They are always honest and reliable and really go above and beyond. I had an old car that was constantly having problems so my car was in the shop every single week and now they know me pretty well. Luckily I have a newer car now and I only see them for oil changes and minor things but I’ll never go anywhere else. I don’t know a lot about cars and I hate how some mechanics take advantage of that and will overcharge or insist upon totally unnecessary work and I’m so lucky that I never have to worry about that with BVA. Also their prices are always MORE than reasonable and they’ve been known to throw in a free oil change or discount labor costs.
Today I was at the dog park and someone locked her keys in her car with the dog. If that wasn’t bad enough, the dog had tried to jump the fence earlier and had gotten his ear caught so he was bleeding all over her car. I called boulder valley automotive (because I still have them on speed dial from my old car days) and asked if they knew of anyone near there who had a metal coat hanger and Curtis drove right over within 5 minutes and unlocked the car for free.
I could go on for days about stories like this about all the extra stuff they’ve done for me, my friends, and family that go above and beyond. I’ve been going to BVA for 3 or 4 years now and it’s honestly like having a friend that’s a mechanic in your corner. This is THE place to go for automotive repairs.

Just a few days after getting some work done here, my heater went out. They diagnosed and fixed the issue in 10 minutes for no charge because I was already there earlier in the week. The car was even running and heating up for me the next morning when I came to pick it up!

Made an appointment for my 1991 Ford Ranger here when the check engine light was on and I was having trouble with it. They ran diagnostics, found the problem, and fixed it all within a couple of days. Everyone I encountered there was very friendly and nice, and willing to explain everything to me.
Truck is running great now, and if I have trouble with it again I will definitely be taking it back to Boulder Valley Automotive!

I started going here for oil changes and to get my manual transmission gear oil changed because it is within walking distance of my job. They are very honest and their pricing is fair. I keep my car in good shape and they didn’t push any unnecessary services on me, which I consider to be the sign of a good shop. Even as they discussed my car approaching 100K miles, they assured me that there aren’t any specific things that need to be done. I already knew this to be true based on my car’s owner’s manual maintenance schedule.
Most importantly, they stand by their work. After getting my gear oil changed, I felt as though my Mazda 3 wasn’t shifting as smoothly. After doing some forum searching, it seems that my transmission is a little picky and a synthetic 75w90 is basically required. BVA used their bulk 80w90, which I wasn’t mad about because I didn’t specify anything ahead of time. I asked Curtis about it and they replaced the fluid with Redline synthetic at no charge. I was expecting to at least pay some for the new oil, but it just goes to show that their customer service is above outstanding. I will be returning to them for all my service needs!

By far the best automotive shop in the entire Northeast Colorado area! I drive from Thornton just to get my oil changed, because they are incredible and stand behind everything that they do. When my SUV was under warranty, it was at the dealership all of the time because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with it. As soon as it was out of warranty I took it to BAV and they fixed it easily, that was 3 years ago and it’s been great ever since. They have great service, are very knowledgeable and are well worth the drive if you don’t live close. If you take your car there once, you’ll never want to go anywhere else again.

Love Billy, Curtis, Ken… and the rest of the team. I started going to BVA this past winter (2011) when I needed snow tires for my Edge. I moved here from Alabama… clearly no snow there, so this was all very new to me. Ken helped me price out some tires, then I brought my Edge in to get them put on. Curtis and Billy were both very helpful, not to mention entertaining while I waited. The guys at BVA are trustworthy and honest and I would definitely recommend them to my friends (and have)!

Billy, Curtis and the team are the best. They don’t mince words with repairs and are extremely knowledgeable and honest. I can highly recommend their services.
