Boulder Creek Apartments

I have never in my life felt obligated to write a review, until now. Hopefully I will save at least one person from making the mistake I did by signing a lease with this horrible company. The complex itself isn’t too bad, however the management personal are horrific. To contact the office staff I had to try several times a day for WEEKS on end to get a response from anyone. This including sending over a dozen emails to every address I could find and leaving another 8 – 10 messages with staff or on voicemails to have a manager call me. When I finally got ahold of a manager I was told «I’m sorry you feel that way» in response to them quoting one price and charging a higher one. Don’t let them steal your money too. RUN NOW!

Excellent place to live. Beautiful inside and out, both my apartment and the grounds were and are impeccable. Great staff made finding the right unit for us and getting us moved in a breeze. Truly wonderful spot in the best part of Boulder.

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I’ve lived here for 3 years purely out of convenience while in school, but now that I’ve graduated I am moving out ASAP. The amenities are nice (when they’re open) but the managerial staff is incompetent and rude. This place will conveniently fail to remind you of the required 60 day intent to vacate notice, so when your lease ends expect to be automatically charged for two extra months rent.
Also, although I’ve lived here for three years & always paid rent early, management has always treated me like dirt. I’ve had leasing agents shout at me to close my door because my sleeping dog «looked aggressive» and I’ve had office staff accuse me of violating my lease for hanging a mesh bug screen on my doorway. When I lost a car key and went to the office to ask if anyone had turned it in, the agent didn’t even look up from her cell phone before brusquely responding, «We’re not a lost and found.»
Again — incompetent and rude people run this place.
The best aspect of this complex is the maintenance crew. Fahim and his staff are THE BEST. They are so considerate, responsive, friendly, and all around amazing guys. Whenever something’s gone haywire, maintenance is on it within the hour. This crew is, in all honesty, the best part of living here.
For the people giving glowing reviews, they are probably the lucky ones who haven’t ever had to deal with management. Honestly, if I’d never spoken to a leasing agent /​manager, I’d probably be happier. However, my consistently terrible interactions with them have ruined this living experience.
Aside from maintenance, I’d give this place ZERO STARS if I could.

I’ve been living in Boulder Creek since 2010. I consider myself so lucky to find this place. This is a very high class, clean, respectful area to live at. However, some of the apartments like mine lack a storage closet. I tried to find another place to move on, but I didn’t find anything that suites my needs. I like the style here where all apartments have private entrances to the street, instead of being inside a building where you share the entrance, stairs and elevators with others.

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is a rip off. They move you into apartments with stuff not even fixed seems kinda ghetto. They charge so much money you will never get a parking spot. NEVER MOVE TO BOULDER CREEK APARTMENTS they will use you. You will just be throwing your money away this place sucks. They don’t even barely shovel your sidewalk. This place is worthless never come to BOULDER CREEK. In reality the place needs to close down because it is going to hell.

Has been living here for more than a year and a half. The envrionment is the best among all the places i lived in Boulder. They have the best service team that solve my hardware problems fast and neat. The front office is also very helpful. Overall, it’s great living here.

I just moved in a couple weeks ago so I can’t «Woohoo» yet… but I do feel it coming on! This complex is awesome! Perfect location (the VIEW — WOW!) quiet, spacious, friendly, well-​maintained grounds (with happily romping wild animals), nice modern finishes, etc…
I moved to Colorado in 2013 and in that time I have lived in 3 homes — all with major issues. One house had black mold that put me in the hospital, an apartment I tried in Denver had the squeal and crash of railroad cars at all hours, and after returning to Boulder my last apartment that advertised itself as «luxury living» was really just a college party house with copious amounts of cigarette smoke wafting in to my place at all hours, paper thin walls (heard lots of fights and bad music but oddly no «make ups»), and constant construction and maintenance issues — all for the luxury price of $ 2200 a month! I really thought I was doomed and then I stumbled onto Boulder Creek Apartments! So far I’m definitely a fan! :)
PS — I read some of the other reviews before moving in and not to be nasty but ALL apartments require a 60 days notice (they are a business and need to flip the property to make $) and I have never gotten a reminder (they are not my mommy). Also, ALWAYS read the entire lease — take the time it is worth it! Making the excuse it is too long just puts you in the situation to be taken advantage of.
As for raising the rent — they remodeled so a bump is going to happen. But just to let you know I looked at a lot of locations and the rent is very reasonable — 28% less than my last place! Boulder is just plain ridiculously expensive! I was floored that this little town could cost more than NYC! Now if you want to rise up and start a movement to keep Boulder rent/​mortgages reasonable and rental places «decent» (boy there are junkers out there!) — I am here to help!

I love throwing away my money. As a first time renter I incredibly taken advantage of from this place. My roommate and I assumed that we would be moving out of our apartment when our lease ends (which is the norm), but this place requires you to give a 60 day notice of vacating, no matter when your lease ends. We never got a notification of when that 60 day mark was coming up, and now they expect us to be financially responsible for the apartment two months after our lease ends (and charging us $ 60 a day). I can understand why they would add that in, but to not notify us before that 60 day mark or telling us when we moved in, is crazy. They cannot expect every one of their renters to fully comprehend a 15 page dense legal document. They claim that they called the both of us and left voice-​mails, but nothing comes up on our phone logs when we look and we never received a voice mail from them. Even if they called, they never got a response and should have just left a written note in front of our door (I’m saying this because our neighbor seemed to get her 60 day warning in a written note). This place just wants your money, don’t bother renting with them unless you also enjoy flushing your money down the toilet and being lied to.
There are plenty of amenities that they offer, but keep in mind that the pools can only be used ³⁄₁₂ months of the year. Their leasing office was never open when we needed them either. The floors look like they’re wood, but in reality its a cheap linoleum that you can easily lift off. The kitchen counters and appliances look nice but don’t think it’s worth the absurd price of living here. When it was snowing hard they allowed for the sidewalks to accumulate with packed down snow, which later turned into dangerous ice to walk on. This place has a great front and seems renter friendly, but they will try to penalize you for the smallest and absurd thing.

I have since written an email to the address provided and, as expected, have heard nothing back. Again, great area to live in but horrible communication and severe lack of follow thru.

Loved living here. When they tried to raise rent 20% despite comparable properties in the area being lower, the problems started. Management was impossible to communicate, let alone negotiate, with.

I lived here for two years and found myself moving right back after trying some of the other rentals in boulder. The management is terrific, the maintenance staff will usually get to you within an hour, everything about this place is great. I love how well-​maintained it is, the grounds are wonderful, everybody living here seems super friendly.
The buildings are also extremely high-​quality and have all the amenities. I enjoy the fact that because of the good insulation I can play my guitar or my drums at 3 AM and I know for a fact that none of my neighbors can hear a thing. We’ve tested it (I made friends with my neighbor as soon as I moved in — because the people here are AWESOME) and the walls are darn thick. The central air is powerful and keeps you as hot or cold as you want. And because of the insulation, my energy bill is pretty minimal because even when it was blazing hot during the summer, the a/​c only had to kick on occasionally to maintain temperature.
I really do not have a single negative thing to say about living here. I think Boulder Creek is great and I would definitely recommend it to anybody.

My husband and I filled out the application online for Boulder Creek Apartments which included a $ 199 refundable deposit. The staff was initially really nice until the next day I had to cancel due to my husband getting a job offer in Virginia. I asked Lesley in the office when we would see that deposit and she avoided the question. I have called the office ten times only to get voicemail. They haven’t returned any of my phone calls or emails. At this point, I feel we have been robbed of our $ 199. Do not rent from this place!!! They will take your money and ignore your phone calls until you stop pursuing the matter.

We moved to Boulder Creek Apartments last spring and have never regretted our choice! Everything is as it seemed when we looked at the apartment and talked to management. Yes, we pay more here than we might have elsewhere, but we get what we pay for, including a lovely community building with deck, two pools and a jacuzzi, a dog park, and an exercise building that meets all our needs, and that makes us happy. Everything on the grounds is well cared for, snow is shoveled for us, anything that needs fixed in our apartment (very little, so far) has been taken care of immediately. We are happy to be part of this community. Add to all of this that we were able to additionally rent a garage, our utilities bills are small, and we are located in a pleasant neighborhood across the street from shopping and a sheltered bus stop for several different buses. What’s not to like?!

I lived here for over two years. I enjoyed living here but I found it to be too overpriced. It was not hard for me to find something bigger and better for a significantly lower price (and still in a great location).

Even 8 months after moving in, I still love this place.
