History

Established in 1975.

Auto Specialist was started in 1975 by Tony and Sharon Meleo. In 2008 Paul and Lee Hagen purchased the shop and continued to run it as a family owned and operated business. Auto SPecialists is the only AAA facility in Boulder City and is a AC Delco certified repair shop. All mechanics are ASE certified. Auto Specialists continues the tradition of a family business using only quality parts and a 12 month 12,000 mile nationwide warranty on any repairs performed at our shop.

I have been involved in the AUtomotive industry since 1985 as a sales representative for Justice Brothers Automotive Products, Royal Purple Oil, Mega Power Products and various Auto shop Equipment manufacturers. I bought my first shop in 2001 in Pahrump NV in 2006 I purchased my second shop in Pahrump and in 2008 I purchased Auto Specialists in Boulder CIty NV. I got rid of one of the shops in Pahrump in 2011 and presently operate Xpress AUto Service in Pahrump, NV and Auto Specialists in Boulder City, Nv

Lee and the staff are amazing, always great follow up, never up charge or repair shop tactics. Always polite and professional, plus a great local Boulder city business. I take everything from my old European classics to my Cadillac Escalade. I completely 100% recommend.

My 2012 Mustang was overfilled with Oil after I took it to Wal-​Mart. And Wal-​Mart told me I needed to replace my battery, I did not replace my battery. I took my car to be looked at by the Auto Specialists. They had my car fixed after a day. They drained all of the extra oil that Wal-​Mart filled my car with, and degreased my engine (from the oil getting everywhere, thanks to Wal-​Mart).
After checking the battery they told me that it was perfectly fine (Wal-​Mart must have been trying to rip me off).
The Auto Specialist also found a leaking water pump. (unrealted to the incident with Wal-​Mart). They did a very reasonable and fair job with replacing the pump and belt.
They gave me a car to use, and I had my car back the next day!
I will be taking my car back to them from now on!
Very happy with the job they do!
All of my family uses them, we are all very happy with their work!

They checked out my vehicle right away on the Monday around noon I came in without an apppintment. I was there for an inspection and to get prices for suggested work on my vehicle. They did the inspection (for the cost of half hour labor) and told me what work they recommended.
I received a printout with the recommendations but without the estimates. The cashier wrote the estimates down after I asked for them.

Have to say, I have NEVER had an experience with a car repair that went so well. As a woman, I am always ready to take it in the shorts when it comes to my car. The nice people at Auto Specialists proved me wrong.
Lee Hagen, made me feel comfortable, explained what they were going to do, and had an employee give me a ride home.
HOURS later, she phoned and said they could not find a problem with the car after running many diagnostic tests. Not only did she tell me it was NO CHARGE, you heard me NO CHARGE, she sent the same employee to pick me up.
As a new Boulder City resident, they have my business for life.
